I'm favoured only God knows how much I praise Him, $230k every 4weeks! I now have a big mansion and can now afford anything and also support God’s work and the church.
Only God knows how much grateful i am. After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!
I started pretty low, though, $5000 thereabouts. The return came massive. Joey is in school doing well, telling me of new friends he's meeting in school. Thank you Susan Christy, you're a miracle.
This whole situation is sad, but the Lord will bring something good out of this horrible situation in due time. The enemy prowls around seeking whom to devour and if anything, this makes me look more to myself and see that I am not entertaining any “small” sins and thinking nothing like this could ever happen to me. This is why we must be the more devoted to prayer and reading God’s Word as the day draws closer.Human beings have failed us and will continue to fail us, but I humbly put my trust in the Lord who will never fail me. Prayers 🙏
When pastors fall into sexual sin, it can serve as a wake-up call for the Church to re-evaluate its understanding of leadership and reliance on individuals rather than Christ. In the New Testament, there is no central figure, like a modern pastor, dominating the gathering or holding all spiritual authority. Such failures can remind believers that their faith should not rest on human leaders, who are fallible, but on Christ alone. These moments often prompt deeper reflection on biblical leadership, humility, accountability, and the importance of every believer's active participation in the body of Christ. It exposes the danger of placing too much trust in a single person and encourages a return to the early Church model where Christ is the true head of the Church.
Watch the Q&A panels at the conferences. I was so troubled about the lightness and joking of Steve Lawson, and all of the men in the panel. How troubling. Discernment is a gift and none of these men have it. RUN! (2 Cor 6:17) Titus 2:1-2 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: [2] That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
I watched everyone with Steve Lawson, RC, Sproul, John MacArthur, etc. and I did see more joking with Steve Lawson and Alistair Begg .It was a little concerning about sacred things.
I was hoping you would provide something to help us process what has happened with Lawson. But you didn't. A suggestion for the future: If you don't have anything to say, then don't say anything.
@@StarLordIRL a full grown adult who is consenting is not a victim, dude! You've heard of seductresses, Jezebel's, right? They exist, it warns men of them all over the place in the Bible. They're both Satan's victims.
My wife and I were talking after church today. Part of the problem in evangelicalism is that pastors think they are "special." From the moment they say God "called them to the ministry" they are treated differently. They are "a cut above" and everyone else is a treated as a "second-class Christian." I once told a pastor that my calling was to be a college professor. He said, no that's your job, its not a calling. This even comes through in parts of Mohler's address where he talks about the "little children" as if pastors and seminary students are way better. Another part of the problem is family control of churches and the good-old-boy network. I've seen sons of pastors who could not preach their way out of a paper bag get jobs because of who their father was. I've also seen numerous Elders who can't teach at all, but their granddad founded the church... and, if you say anything about it, then you have an attitude problem. For as long as this went on, there we likely a lot of people who knew, but looked the other way because Lawson was their friend. That needs to stop. How many times are we going to go through this before we change how we do things? I'm sixty years old, a believer for 40+ years, a gifted teacher, a hard worker, a wise steward of money, and I've been faithful to my wife since before we even met. But, I'm somehow not qualified.
I clicked on this because I have found value in James' perspective. But this does not inform me at all about whatever is going on with Lawson but gives me insight to the politics and economics of the industry involved in Christianity. I wasted 15 minutes.
He travels a lot....so do you, James. I say start taking your wives with you if you are gone for so long. If you can't, ONLY be there for the days you are preaching and leaving immediately. Pastor Baucham does that.
Here's the thing, when is the body of Christ accountable for part of these tragedies? Why do we promote pastors to a celebrity status? Are we as the church not wrong in this. The truth is, Steve Lawson was a pastor of a local congregation and should have remained ministering to the specific congregation Christ placed him to serve. Instead, in pursuit of fame and fortune, pastors travel all over the world while neglecting the local body they were called to serve. No one in California needs a pastor from Texas, Alabama, etc flying to their church and preach a message. The need is to raise up qualified individuals within that particular zip code. Furthermore, is that not the one of an evangelist? Do they exist anymore or have they been replaced by pastors who are unwilling to maintain their actual flock? How is any of this a good stewardship of money gifted through grace giving? Finally, if pastors today were bivocational like Christ and all the apostles, they would not have time to have an affair with a female the age of their grandchildren.
@2wheelz3504 agreed! In truth, it can become a violation of the 2nd commandment. In general society today, as prophesied, 2 Timothy 3:2, "people will be lovers of themselves", feed on elevating their status. We as the church should be different and only look to Christ.
This is VERY revealing, and really doesn't surprise me, because I concluded two or three years ago that there was something not quite right about Steve Lawson, and I cancelled my OnePassion subscription: there was something too slick about him and lacking in genuine humility.
Anyone calling themselves "Pastor" is exposing their own phoniness and hunger for authority, not a true calling to serve. Jesus Himself warned against chasing after titles like "Rabbi" or "Father," yet some ignore His clear instruction to reject such labels in favor of humble servanthood (Matthew 23:8-10). These so-called "pastors" use a title to elevate themselves above others, seeking recognition and control instead of leading by example in Christ-like humility. If their leadership depended on the fruits of the Spirit and genuine service to the body of Christ, they wouldn't need a title to prove it. They're parading a false sense of authority, and it's an insult to the true worship of God in spirit and truth.
A five year affair between a 68 year old man and a 20 year old woman that was outed, not ended, and would have likely continued had the elders not stepped in, sounds pretty carnal to me. But if carnal Christians don't exist, where else do you go with Steve Lawson?
True, he is either a Christian being led by the desires of the flesh, or not a saved man, for him to be a Christian this long and be carnal is alarming at best.
The question is not whether he was engaged in something carnal for a time, but whether, looking and the breadth of his life, if it would be described as carnal. In other words, is this characteristic of his walk with Christ, or have we watched someone stumble in the faith? Carnality is opposite to following Christ, so for someone to say they are Christian and yet they live carnally, and they have been this way always, never growing out of that carnality, or having always been in it, is to lie.
Ironically, Dr. Steven J. Lawson, a married 73 year old Calvinist preacher, and founder of One Passion ministries, also had an additional Secret Passion : he was secretly having an inappropriate relationship with a 20 something year old woman, for the last 5 years, until her father finally confronted him, and ultimately threatened to expose him unless he exposed himself, every detail of which, according to his nefarious philosophy, was already meticulously decreed before time ever began, thus giving a whole new philosophical twist to the infamous old phrase "bad grandpa".
“Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.” 1Tim5:19 These verses seem relevant to this situation.
A 73-year-old self-righteous reformed pastor is caught in an inappropriate relationship with a girl 50 years younger than him. His congregation, known for nodding through every sermon, is shocked but silent. One of them finally pipes up, "Well, if the pastor did it, who are we to judge? He always says we’re totally depraved anyway!" Another one adds, "Yeah, guess he's just giving us a real-life example of the doctrine!" They all nod in agreement, not realizing the irony of their blind loyalty.

Once saved always saved is a doctrine of demons and has collected another soul. We are to strive everyday to walk as Yahusha walked by the Turah and deny ourselves and carry our stake to be His disciples. Eternal security is an abomination and will keep collecting souls for Satan. We are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb for remissions of sins and once a new creature with the Ruach HaQadash we have the supernatural power to overcome our flesh and work (yes, WORK) to walk in Yahusha, having Him increasing in us while we decrease in the flesh. It only ends when we perish, until then it’s spiritual warfare. Demons and spells do enter believers if they do not walk the Way(Turah) the same way that even being saved we carry the curse of Adam and perish, we MUST be humble and pray and fast and walk as Yahusha walked with MUCH FEAR AND TREMBLING. This Xtianity preaches with a hippie JC will keep leading souls to the pit, it’s another daughter of the harlot Babylon and if people don’t come out of it they will drink from the cup of wrath of Yahuah Almighty.
Well said. Some of the things you mentioned are some of the very things I have said to friends of mine when asked where I stand. Bottom line is we all need to pray for Steve they 1 he genuinely repents and he is restored to the body of Christ and 2nd for his wife and family as well as the woman and her family. 3rd and finally pray and examine yourself. No one and I mean no one is above this type of sin and behavior. This is a wake up call to the church. In whom do you trust?!
Do you not think it's just as bad throwing out tons of media with regards to Steven's failure that are at most, judgmental? Do you not think that this is causing more and more damage to both Steven, his family and Gods church?
@reformed37 That's not true at all. He feels very strongly about this issue and has already spoken out about it on X apparently. I guarantee he'll be preparing something very appropriate for his RUclips channel. I am definitely looking forward to hearing his comments. He'll deal with it in a very Biblical way, despite the fact that he shares similar theology to Lawson.
He does not like to critique his co horts in his Calvin camp…… It takes outsiders to dig into the issue of the sin… If anything it will be a very very softball ……
@polskigirl8547 Let's just wait and see......Justin is always very firm and Biblical when someone brings such disgrace to the name of Christ.....no matter who it is. I'm sure he'll be calling for nothing less than a complete confession and repentance from Steve Lawson himself and will totally agree that he can never again step into the pulpit ever again.
Has Lawson repented, anyway? I understand this only broke because the young woman's father found out. I am not seeing a full-on repentant Lawson, he admitted to a nebulous charge but only because he was being pressed. This isn't good enough.
Was he determined to sin or did he freely sin? According to his preaching everything that happens was ordained by God. So, my question to Lawson is: Did God ordain you to sin?

Scripturally, elders/pastors/deacons are just shepherds who lead in humility and are older seasoned believers who shed wisdom without being in some official position of power. What we have today is a bunch of leaders who fast tracked to the "top" by going to seminary and act like company CEOs, with no real hunger and passion to serve God's people other than their own bellies. This is 99% true of any popular preacher today, whether a good one or a bad one. They're all ego-driven leaders who only care about their own self-image and reputation.
@@dimedropper Yes, those titled, Pastor, are wolves masquerading as shepherds that prey upon the foolish church-goers. Throughout history, governments have relied on Pastors, to influence public opinion and rally their followers behind causes such as war and political conflict. This manipulation can be seen as a way for political powers to co-opt spiritual authority for earthly agendas. The Bible warns against such alliances. In 1 Samuel 8, when Israel demanded a king to lead them like other nations, God revealed that such rulers would take their sons for war and exploit them (1 Samuel 8:11-18), indicating the dangerous overlap of political ambition and religious authority. Pastors are used to legitimize government actions, shaping moral narratives to support war or political campaigns. This is contrary to Jesus’ teachings of peace and the separation of His kingdom from worldly power (John 18:36). Instead of shepherding their flock towards God’s will, such Pastors lead them into earthly conflicts, reinforcing the government’s agenda rather than God’s.

The mainstream media does a far better job of reporting things than all these so-called podcasters like you who babble on and say nothing. Report the facts and offer intelligent analysis. Instead you babble on as if you know anything or have anything to say.

But, Steve Lawson is not a brick layer; He is a public figure, a widely known pastor who has had quite damning things to say about others who have fallen in this same way. It matters.

1. Dr. Steve Lawson from the Ligonier Ministries' 2009 National Conference, The Holiness of God containing his address, "The Legacy of John Calvin" given on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of John Calvin's birth: "Rightly has one contemporary author identified John Calvin as the man of the millennium, meaning he is the single greatest influence upon modern history over the last thousand years. I would agree with that, in fact, I would push it out further and say that Calvin is the man of the last two millennia, that you would have to go all the way back to the days of the biblical writers, to Paul and to John, in order to see one who towered above history and has left such a dominant influence. It is almost impossible to overstate the importance and the legacy of John Calvin. William Cunningham, the Scottish divine, said 'Calvin was by far the greatest of the Reformers. Calvin is the man who, next to St. Paul, has done most to mankind.' And no less than Charles Haddon Spurgeon, the prince of preachers, said 'Among all those who have been born of women,' and that pretty much covers the field, 'among all those who have born of women, there has not been risen a greater than John Calvin. No age before him ever produced his equal and no age afterwards has seen his rival.' As a result, S.M. Houghton has written 'It has been said that to omit John Calvin from the history of Western civilization is to read history with one eye closed.' These are among the estimates of Calvin's life and ministry and his place in history, and so the question before us now is 'What is his legacy? Calvin stood at the headwaters of the Reformation and we now stand downstream, and what has flowed downstream to us from the pulpit, the study and the pen of John Calvin?'" 0:58 - 3:21 of Steve Lawson: The Legacy of John Calvin [youtube com /watch?v=xx1g5WfM6Xw] 2. John Calvin, Institutes of the Christian Religion, Book III, Chapter 23, No. 7: "I AGAIN ASK HOW IT IS THAT THE FALL OF ADAM INVOLVES SO MANY NATIONS WITH THEIR INFANT CHILDREN IN ETERNAL DEATH WITHOUT REMEDY UNLESS THAT IT SO SEEMED MEET TO GOD? Here the most loquacious tongues must be dumb. THE DECREE, I ADMIT, IS, DREADFUL; AND YET IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DENY THAT GOD FOREKNOW WHAT THE END OF MAN WAS TO BE BEFORE HE MADE HIM, BECAUSE HE HAD SO ARRANGED BY HIS DECREE. Should any one here inveigh against the prescience of God, he does it rashly and unadvisedly. For why, pray, should it be made a charge against the heavenly Judge, that he was not ignorant of what was to happen? Thus, if there is any just or plausible complaint, it must be directed against predestination. Nor ought it to seem absurd when I SAY, THAT GOD NOT ONLY FORESAW THE FALL OF THE FIRST MAN, AND IN HIM THE RUIN OF HIS POSTERITY, BUT ALSO AT HIS OWN PLEASURE ARRANGED IT." This raises a question I've wondered about for years. King David continued his responsibilities after he murdered Uriah. There's no evidence he spent time in jail, or paid off anyone, or stepped down from anything (as far as I know). So, how did that work?
David's situation after the murder of Uriah can be understood in the context of theocratic monarchy and ancient Near Eastern culture. As king, David was the highest civil and religious authority in Israel, answerable primarily to God rather than to a legal system or human judiciary. His actions were not subject to imprisonment or removal from office in the same way they might be in modern governance. Instead of legal consequences, David faced divine judgment. Nathan the prophet confronted him directly with a parable (2 Sam 12:1-14), leading David to confess his sin. However, while David was forgiven (2 Sam 12:13), he still faced severe consequences from God. These included the death of the child born from his adultery with Bathsheba (2 Sam 12:14-18) and a series of calamities in his family, such as Absalom's rebellion and the rape of Tamar (2 Sam 13-15). These consequences were a direct fulfillment of Nathan’s pronouncement that "the sword shall never depart from your house" (2 Sam 12:10). In sum, David's "punishment" was divine rather than judicial. His position as king was not revoked because his kingship was understood as divinely appointed, and his accountability was to God alone. His continued reign, despite his sin, demonstrates the focus on repentance and divine discipline rather than civil or penal consequences in the theocratic context of Israel.
A $10,000 bet to the first person who can name and cite a scripture in the New Testament where someone is explicitly given the title of Pastor. The challenge is to provide a clear, direct reference to a person being called "Pastor" as a formal title. Good luck!

There is nothing innocent about the role of this woman in this situation. The father is trying to protect his daughter from her sin. She is not a victim. Both she and lawson have committed adultery and don’t insult my intelligence with regard to the fact contended that this was not sexual. I have been around the block 76 times.
It makes no difference whether it was a one time thing with someone his own age or something with someone much younger over a 5 year period. This is what happens to people who believe the lie that salvation is by faith alone. He proved he believes people should do as he says and not what he does. The Christ would have lumped Lawson in with the Pharisees and Sadducees that he condemned. He is no better than King Herod and the sexual sin that John the Baptist conedemned him of.
My question. God never called any minister to be the Moses of the day and work soo long from their family for extended periods of time. This is a trap from the enemy. My goodness take care of your own family then do outreach. Seems like these ministries have it backwards- go everywhere and work until you are exhausted doing the gospel . Good wants minister to preach the word and take leadership roles but not at the expense of their wife! Their children! They have misplaced priorities. Gods kingdoms will be advanced whether you labor for 40 hours or 120 hours a week. I have 4 children myself so I understand the responsibility. I see ministers all over the world working until they are physically, emotionally, spiritually whipped at the expense of their family being neglected. Why? God never ever expects anyone of his children to live like that . Serve Jesus by serving your own family then utilize your resources and skill from that to ministry for the gospel.
I suppose that's the "I" lost 4 Steve as grace looks like it can actually be "resisted" (even for 5 years)... More like an actor from TULP fiction in reality...

This sure shows the true colors of Calvinists and reform types. All the sudden there's Grace for people that fall huh? I'm sure Robert Morris is relieved. For something he did 35 years ago. That he repented of and went through church discipline. Set up accountability barriers. Lived a holy life from then on out. And was promoted and trusted by God. Glad you guys can biblically find Grace now.🙄
I’m sure Lawson is justifying it by listening to Rick Springfield’s massive 1983- Affair of The Heart”. He probably used Springfield’s 80’s hit to justify this. Don’t scapegoat Rick Springfield on this Mr Lawson- own this sin. Stay on the straight and narrow, don’t use this catchy 80s hit to shipwreck your life.
The question remains as to how much good was God actually producing through Lawson's mostly harmful teaching of God's Word. He laid a harmful, imo, hermeneutics, homiletics, and legalistic sanctification as foundational in many eager Bible students' thinking... which will still have negative influence into the future through their ministries, imo. 🙄 Perhaps God's delay in exposing his sinful practice was to help many question the truth of that foundation.
From God's perspective he has sinned greatly. God holds the scales. Not man. And he has spoken: Marriage should be honoured by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself. You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD.Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done."
Maybe yes because true believers sin, gravely too but never ever dwell in their sins, the Blessed LORD Holy Spirit will convict of their sin towards repentance. We sinned but we repent and move on with CHRIST,follow HIM.
Comments like this so the kind of theological and even immediate contextual ignorance and immaturity that's almost unexplainable. If you don't understand the context meaning of the term "innocent" in white's talk here, to mean that there are persons who have not betrayed Lawson in ways he has, you need to go back to elementary school English language class. If you can't see that there's a difference between the broader theological definitions of innocence and guilt as far as original sin is concerned (which is not local to Calvinism alone) as opposed to the specific innocence or guilt of a particular act which someone may be guilty or innocent of, why are you even involved in this discussion?
@@bernhardbauer5301 he's being sarcastic. Trying to jab at Calvinism. But this doctrine isn't only part of calvinist theology. Every orthodox Christian believes that we are all born guilty. The palmist wrote "Indeed, I was guilty when I was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me." Psalm 51:5 The biblical position is in Adam, as part of his human descendants, because he sinned, the corruption he brought on himself, he brought in all that would be born from his seed. So all have sinned because we inherited the sin nature. We are guilty because we have come from sinful parents. Romans 5 and 6 outlines this.
@@indigos290 I believe I am a sinner because I have sinned, not because Adam has sinned in accordance with. Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Psalms 51:5 reads in my bible: Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. I have not sinned at this age. Romans 5 and 6 deal with my condition in my humble opinion. God will not judge me because my father has sinned. I know that John Calvin was a murderer. Martin Luther Was not better.

Our forgiveness does not save him. A sinner is sinner and needs to repent.
Sin isn’t complicated.
It complicates & destroys other people’s lives just by its very nature.
You make so much sense. I guess everyone wants some kind of superhero these days, even in church.
@2wheelz3504 agreed! In truth, it can become a violation of the 2nd commandment. In general society today, as prophesied, 2 Timothy 3:2, "people will be lovers of themselves", feed on elevating their status. We as the church should be different and only look to Christ.

It was a nebulous charge because we, the sheep, are just too immature to handle the truth.
Now it has been told that Steven Lawson was no member of any church.
Was he determined to sin or did he freely sin? According to his preaching everything that happens was ordained by God. So, my question to Lawson is: Did God ordain you to sin?

@@dimedropper they're given authority because they decided to go to seminary as a career move? Pastors are SELF appointed.

1. Dr. Steve Lawson from the Ligonier Ministries' 2009 National Conference, The Holiness of God containing his address, "The Legacy of John Calvin" given on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of John Calvin's birth:
"Rightly has one contemporary author identified John Calvin as the man of the millennium, meaning he is the single greatest influence upon modern history over the last thousand years. Calvin stood at the headwaters of the Reformation and we now stand downstream, and what has flowed downstream to us from the pulpit, the study and the pen of John Calvin?'"

"I AGAIN ASK HOW IT IS THAT THE FALL OF ADAM INVOLVES SO MANY NATIONS WITH THEIR INFANT CHILDREN IN ETERNAL DEATH WITHOUT REMEDY UNLESS THAT IT SO SEEMED MEET TO GOD? Nor ought it to seem absurd when I SAY, THAT GOD NOT ONLY FORESAW THE FALL OF THE FIRST MAN, AND IN HIM THE RUIN OF HIS POSTERITY, BUT ALSO AT HIS OWN PLEASURE ARRANGED IT."

If there is no sexual contact, then would you have issued a statement saying "inappropriate relationship with a woman?"
wow. the comments here are really ungracious against you.
Third base is not a home run. A long-distance relationship over the phone or computer is more like a porno problem isn't it?
This raises a question I've wondered about for years.

Lost his wedding ring on the way to the conference? Interesting
Free Grace is the only true gospel.
If she was from nowhere near any of his ministries… how did he meet her much less have a 5 year relationship with her?
I’m thinking it was an internet thing? One more thing to avoid. I could be wrong though.
The way this guy is drowning on his facial hair and tattoos I would bet he hit a bong or two in his life…
How many more videos will pop up on the story? Everyone has obligation to have a say?
@adylikowski
Especially Arminians are having their hayday. Look at the hateful and mocking comments... And they call themselves Christians... 😢
I think the girl was at most 25 when they started dating. Because she is in late 20s now.
25 now and 20 when started.
@@tonyjemz777yes that’s correct
@@tonyjemz777 Phil Johnson reported her being in l,ate 20s right?
I read 29 now.
Polygyny is not sin.
I suppose that's the "I" lost 4 Steve as grace looks like it can actually be "resisted" (even for 5 years)... More like an actor from TULP fiction in reality...
If we ACTUALLY have an ONGOING relationship with the LORD, concerned about HIS awareness of what HIS vessels are up too - then it might occur to us that HE had foreknowledge of this etire situation which should cause some very interesting conversations BUT IT HASN'T > 🤪
How well do our leaders know each other?
How well do they know YOU LORD JESUS?
WHAT I'VE NOTICED TO BE A BIG ISSUE EVERYWHERE IS:
A Failure To Communicate > 🤪
GOTTA GO!
It's time for my meds > 🤪
My ? If he is in her 20s, doesn't that mean she was underage since it's been reported 5 yr relationship
I heard she’s in her late 20s, so that wouldn’t be underage.
Is lawson saved in the first place?
...Or did he lose his salvation ( if he was saved prior to his fall)?
This sure shows the true colors of Calvinists and reform types.
All the sudden there's Grace for people that fall huh?
I'm sure Robert Morris is relieved. For something he did 35 years ago. That he repented of and went through church discipline.
Set up accountability barriers. Lived a holy life from then on out. And was promoted and trusted by God.
Glad you guys can biblically find Grace now.🙄
You lost me when you said "you're conflicted."
Steve Lawson needs to go to Rick Joyner. Rick will fix everything. 🤪
Calvinists jump on non-calvinists when they make mistakes coz they deem themselves morally superior to others.
How do you know that?
Exactly
Who told you that?
@@5Solas.2 because they think they are elect and special to God?
@@formerfundienowfree4235Lol are we not special to God?
James White as usual,rambling.
Perhaps God's delay in exposing his sinful practice was to help many question the truth of that foundation.
Y’all wanna bet she’s pregnant… how do you think the dad found out after five years.
😮😮😮
Mr. Chicken Snatcher you ARE the father!
Well, that’s a possibility. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
That would put things on another level!
It is being reported that no sex was involved.
A whole lot of talking but no substance. I do believe in the private nature of the church. How all this is being handled is wrong.
So I guess he wasn’t elected. So what was he.
Pastor Steve Lawson is not saved.
We shouldn’t say that. God only knows
@@desertrose6516 Steve Lawson said that actually.
Maybe yes because true believers sin, gravely too but never ever dwell in their sins, the Blessed LORD Holy Spirit will convict of their sin towards repentance. We sinned but we repent and move on with CHRIST,follow HIM.
Innocent people? I thought we’re all born guilty. Calvinism is so dumb. Having said that, I hope Steve fully recovers from this.
It's his fault! He did this willingly. What about his poor wife, children, and grandchildren?
They are the ones who need prayers.
Why do you think we are born guilty?
Any scripture supporting this thought?
Isn't this just folklore and theology?
@@bernhardbauer5301 he's being sarcastic. Trying to jab at Calvinism. But this doctrine isn't only part of calvinist theology. Every orthodox Christian believes that we are all born guilty.
The palmist wrote "Indeed, I was guilty when I was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me." Psalm 51:5
The biblical position is in Adam, as part of his human descendants, because he sinned, the corruption he brought on himself, he brought in all that would be born from his seed. So all have sinned because we inherited the sin nature. We are guilty because we have come from sinful parents.
Romans 5 and 6 outlines this.
@@indigos290
I believe I am a sinner because I have sinned, not because Adam has sinned in accordance with.
Romans 3:23:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Psalms 51:5 reads in my bible:
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
I have not sinned at this age.
Romans 5 and 6 deal with my condition in my humble opinion.
God will not judge me because my father has sinned.
I know that John Calvin was a murderer.
Martin Luther Was not better. Read his late writings.
