Omer Barnea, the actor playing Gregori, completely fell in love with the puppy, and after the scene where he "killed" it finished shooting, he picked up the puppy and cried for nearly an hour.
Omg that’s so wholesome! 😭 😭
@@myegyptiandadreacts4824 He actually bought the puppy from the trainers after the movie stopped filming and took it home.
@@theprogressivecynic2407 Suprised Keanu didn't try first. Hell, my first dog had been gone for 5 years when that film came out, and my second dog was 5. I still cried. Hell when my second dog died last Halloween, I saw the Clifford trailer and was crying. My friend was like "are you ok?" in the theater, and I shook my head no. It had been less than a week so....Of course, you do the math and you realize how old that dog is now....hope it gets to be a good healthy old age.
@@theprogressivecynic2407 No, he didn’t.
The dog he picked at the shelter, FYI, if you pay close attention was due to be euthanized... He saved it from death.
Excellent reaction. Just one point to drive the knife deeper: Daisy the dog dragged herself to John as she was dying. That's why we see a blood trail.
I was never sure what was worse, if the dog pulled herself, or they dragged her there for the first thing he'd see. As someone who's on their 3rd dog in the life....I was trying not to cry back during the first film.
4:25 I always took that trail of blood as the puppy dragged itself to him. If they just placed it in front of him the blood wouldn't be smeared across the floor like that.
Maybe they slid the dogs dead body across the floor by pushing it with their foot or something. That’s how I saw it.
@@myegyptiandadreacts4824 Except when they showed up at the car shop they didn't claim to have killed the dog.
Aurelio: "The owner, you kill him?"
Iosef: "No. We sure *messed* up his dog though."
So since they didn't claim to have killed the dog this makes me believe that the dog's last act was to drag itself back to John. Either way it's totally messed up they hurt the poor thing, and John was rightly pissed to go get some revenge for it.
Edit: I changed the word they used in the movie for politeness.
@@myegyptiandadreacts4824- They wouldn’t have bothered to push the dog across the floor. They would have just picked it up. The entire point of showing the blood trail is to imply that Daisy crawled to John before she died.
The John Wick house is out here on Long Island in a very exclusive town called Mill Neck.. (At the end of Horseshoe Road) -- The runway John practices on is at Republic Airport, Farmingdale, NY.
R.I.P. to Lance Reddick (Charon, the hotel concierge). We lost one of the greats.
If I remember correctly, he didn't kill the girl because of the "hotel" rules, which is why the girl was killed at the end, for violating the rules. And, thanks for a great reaction video.
Oh makes sense. I was confused because she was trying to kill him
If John had killed her during the fight it would have been fine. But once he had her beaten he followed the spirit of the rules along with the letter of the law. That is part of why John is so respected in that world. The Continental would probably have been fine with Ms. Perkins being killed, but John went above and beyond.
If you look at the paper work on the outside of the dogs crate that he picked at the end. The dog was about to be put down, so he was saving it from being killed
On the emotional part, particularly where John is reading the letter: Keanu went through similar in reality - back in early 2000s with both a daughter and recent partner. I can't imagine filming that scene not being extremely difficult...
Something did feel super raw about his reaction to that letter
At the 5:50 mark one difference in perspective of you and your father shone out.
You said how he should hit his son and your father said how he may have to kill Wick “finish the job to save my son”.
Your dad is the kind that will always have your back man.
Kudos to dad.
4:33 small clarification, the dog scene when they were getting attacked in the house allot of people misinterpreted that part … the bad guys didn’t put daisy beside him, she gotten up and walked to him then died 😢 while he was still unconscious.
That’s heartbreaking… I’m glad he avenged her atleast
@@myegyptiandadreacts4824 Yea but like when It came out the first time and when that I literally was ready to jump into the darn screen to smash those guys.
The choreography in the John Wick franchise is level one million 💯
He didn't kill the girl because she gave him information for her life. John keeps his word. And he knew the hotel would handle her so there was no reason for him to kill her. It's the same reason he doesn't kill Viggo until Viggo goes after his friend first.
John has a code, and he adheres to it pretty strictly. He doesn't kill people he doesn't have to
Your Dad's reactions are always on point. May God bless you all.
they didnt bring the dog to him, it seems insinuated by the long blood trail is the dog dragged itself to john and died.
Which makes someone like me wanna cry their head off again.
I love the pet where Officer Jimmy takes his hat off after seeing the dead hitman inside John’s hallway. Almost as if to say,
“Do I need to NOT be a law enforcement officer at this moment, John?”
R.I.P Mikael Nyquist (Viggo) Great movie.
Something most people don't know the doctor who stitches up John Wick was the Key maker in the Matrix films.
Oh, plenty of Keanu co-stars show up in this film. Hell, the director was from Keanu's Matrix stunt team!
22:25 “he’s the king of not letting shit slide” I don’t know why but I thought that was hilarious
John wasn’t being a gentleman when he didn’t kill Perkins. He was just following the rules of the hotel.
No. He could have killed her, because she attacked him first. The concierge, Charon, even asks if he needs a “dinner reservation”, implying that it was okay to kill somebody who attacks you first.
Thank you gentlemen for the awesome reaction.
Our pleasure!
Love ya'll chemistry. Keep going in the series for sure. Part 2 actually is able to stay true to what you loved in the first one, but ramps it up even more!
Honestly, you guys are some of my favorite reactors.
7:13 -- "Fortune Favors The Brave" (John's Tattoo)
"If this was a video game, they would say he's cheating." LOL
The guy he fights that is good at the end of the club scene and in the church, is supposed to be Johns replacement after he left the organization
11:20 -- What if "John Wick", was the life Neo got when he was plugged back into The Matrix at the end of the third movie?
You can’t kill on Continental property, it’s neutral territory and you forfeit your life if you break the rule. That’s why John wick did not kill the female assassin but had her guarded. She killed though and would have had a contract put on her if she wasn’t killed. He picked the dog because he was due to be euthanized, it was on his cage.
I am very glad that you two finally got to see this movie! I just want to clarify, as it seems you may have missed the rules of the Continental. John Wick did not let the girl live because he is a "gentleman" he let her live because there are RULES of engagement and even stricter rules while on the Continental grounds. SHE broke the rules so she was killed by the man in charge of The Continental. I think you may benefit from re-watching this movie before watching John Wick 2 and 3.
Have y’all ever seen Equalizer (2014) with Denzel Washington?
There is good video on You Tube showing Keanu Reeves trying for this role. He really is amazing.
2:28 -- You're thinking of beagles..
We have the 'quiet gunslinger', a man of few words mixed with modern Close Combat choreography and some worldbuilding using fictitious assassin code of conduct and neutral territory. Keeping it simple reminded me of the old Sergio Leone westerns.
The directors (there were two for this one) of this film worked on the stunt team for The Matrix with Keanu. They created the film with him in mind. And Keanu for his part trained extensively in hand-to-hand techniques as well as speed shooting and reloading. Keanu also trained in stunt driving as well. So when they show Keanu grappling with guys, the flinging the pistol magazine, even driving the cars, it's all him. He worked with the stunt team in choreography so he could do as much of his own stuff as was possible. And he kept up with the training refining his skills for each of the following films as well. Be sure to keep watching as they all recapture the feel of this first film, and continue to build upon the world that you get to glimpse in this first installment of what is currently the greatest action film franchise going.
That’s what separates a great action film from a mediocre one
"Fortis Fortuna Adjuviat" - Fortune Favors the Bold
You guys should watch the Equalizer movies with Denzel Washington. You may like The Book of Eli also
John Wick's tattoo says "Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat" which translated from Latin means "fortune favors the bold."
Without giving anything away, all of the Wick movies going into the 4th, and yet to be released are great. My favorite so far is part 2, but all 3 tie into the ongoing story
It's funny how NO ONE else has to blur so many scenes out.
LOVING the commentary so far!
The fourth part of John Wick will be in cinemas in 2023
Yes and my grandpa simply cannot wait, it’s his favorite franchise
John Wick 1 is a decent good action film. 2 and 3... OH MY GOD! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hyper about 4th.
Keanu on a killing spree is just awesome!
This is the first of your reactions that I’ve seen, and I loved it. You’re both very insightful. I’m subscribing.
This movie was directed by the stunt coordinator from the matrix movies.
L9ve this movie. It so well choreographed!! Plus animal scenes are great...in next 2 movies are awesome!!! The actors are great too!
What a good vibe between you two
The dad is so chill
The Hotel Doctor is the "Keymaker " in Matrix 2....
As an FYI, the dog he took was designated to be put down.
cool reaction 😊 can't kill from inside the continental or you'll end up like Perkins 😊
I enjoyed your reaction. Very entertaining and with thoughtful commentary. Can't wait to see you react to the other John Wick movies.
Anyone tell you your Dad looks like Francis Ford Coppola :D ?
I think he was cast in John Wick is because of his role in Constantine.
I was thinking because of his role as Neo
"Fortune favors the Bold"
Hi guys. He’s not just a priest. Everybody winces at this scene but he is not a honest priest. He’s a mafia paid front for them. I’m going to look at some of your reactions and see how it goes. I’ll also subscribe and give it a fair shake. See you soon.
Correct. You can see the Russian gang tattoos on the “priest’s” hands. Doubtful that he’s a legitimate priest at all.
Your dad is cool.
Lol you have to watch the other 2 now 😎👍
Most certainly 😎
I have to admit, you noticed something a lot of reactors miss: _John Wick is NOT a "good guy."_ Moviegoers sympathize with him because the people he's killing are worse than he is. You probably noticed he never killed anyone _truly_ innocent, by which I mean he didn't kill anyone that wasn't either a part of the same organization and/or trying to kill him. That still doesn't make him a hero, though, just a killer with ethics.
A little trivia about the scene where the puppy leaves a poop in the yard: Obviously, they can't train a dog to "go" on command, so they used CGI. They spent about $5,000 modeling the perfect pile of puppy poop. (The most expensive pile of puppy poop in movie history. 🤣)
To be honest I do agree after watching John wick 2 is he kinda gets himself into every mess knowing full well the consequences beforehand
Guys you don't have to blur your videos. I watch tons of them and they don't blur them.
I hate black coffee. It's my first drink every morning. A small shot of extra dark coffee. At around 8ish I'll have a small cup of "regular" coffee with a little cream & sugar, but I find that the harsh taste of dark coffee really wakes you right the hell up before the caffeine even gets to your blood.
Anyone who defends the taste of dark coffee is a weirdo.
It's actually good that you saw the first movie now because in March, John Wick 4 is coming out so it will be more fun for you
Loved your reaction ! Looking forward to the next ones ;)
He couldn't kill her it was against the rules.
2:40 comments. More good commennts.-Ernie Moore Jr.
The John Wick franchise is over the top. I don't want to call the movies bad or overrated but, IDK. I've only really seem part 1 and the sequel 2. I haven't followed the "universe" in John Wick 3 and 4
1:49 react. 1:54 .-Ernie Moore Jr.
Greetings from Texas! 👏
Fortis Fortuna adiuvat means fortune favours the brave
Excellent!! Loved it!!!
All are great and here’s hoping 4 will be the same out soon.
Omg you talked during the whole movie lol
Omg! It's like you've never seen a reaction video before?
4:22 react.-Ernie Moore Jr.
I enjoyed you and your Dad's reaction to this unique action film. I understand you when you say that you are weary of action films in general, but the first John Wick film accomplishes what it set out to do very well. Sadly the sequels maintain the great action of the first film while not living up to the simple yet gripping story...
As an aside, I should say that this is the first video from your channel I watched, so I don't get the reference you made that you don't just look away from gay sexual media, but all sexual media.. but I very much appreciate this attitude, even though I personally am happy to watch the content you don't prefer.
I appreciate that you and your father are not hypocrites. I grew up around so many conservative Christians who would love the sexy scenes in this film, or any film, but they would loudly complain and make gagging noises if they ever saw two gay people holding hands.
You seem to have a good head when it comes to film analysis, and your father seems genuinely wise, which is not something I say about every older person as if they automatically deserve it. Wisdom is earned, not given. Anyway, I enjoyed this video, so I subbed to the channel. RUclips is chaotic but I'll try to follow you folks at least
6:25 react.-Ernie Moore Jr.
Now watch "Nobody"
Are you guys in Egypt ?
Yes we are
who is flagging your videos and why would it get blocked
Hello please don’t stop the fourth movie coming in 4 months . And this movie had a low budget so the rest you will see. Also Salam to your father and you please continue the franchise 🤍 greetings from France 🇫🇷 (also the fourth was film in Paris ) also he let Vigo stabbed him at the same spot he was already wounded so no problem. Also the dog at the end is a bully so mine is small they don’t grow up and they the best breed
Oh we’re 100% doing the rest 😊
Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat "Fortune favors the bold/brave"
Good reaction...now try Dredd for a cop movie with a difference....NB not Judge Dredd🏍️🔫💀
You have two more sequels too go n then watch John wick 4 it's done it will be out next yr march 24 2023 trailer is out watch 2& 3 u will understand #4 trailer gd luck have fun 😊
Your dad looks so cute 😂
Have you seen Taken (2008)
More times than we can count lol
and this is upped in 2 and even that upped in 3... and we are waiting for JW4
You had to blur out way more than other reactors…
That's fascinating, you can't or don't look at anything sexual. Of course, we Americans don't have a culture is the source of our idiots. This is why I love RUclips, you learn so many things about different cultures.
Yea, but it mostly just feels awkward watching this stuff with a parent, for some reason lol
@@myegyptiandadreacts4824 😂
Action-fueled movies, not much substance
The most overrated movie of all time.
😊
Your dad is the greatest!
why is this kill so personal? Every Kill Is Personal.
I don't know if you gentleman notice but that Pitbull breed that he picked up was scheduled to be a euthanized I don't know if that's like two lost causes but yeah and he he spoiler alert he doesn't do anything crazy with the dog and the dog doesn't do anything crazy it's just a regular dog and he loves it
Why even bother watching Band of Brothers if you aren’t going to react to it every week or so? It’s been so damn long since you guys watched it how could you ever remember anything it’s only 10 episodes but you’ve watched other series sense? It’s one of the best shows ever and you decide to watch a bunch of crap instead? It’s just amazing to me.
It really was and we finished it so long ago, all the episodes have been on patreon for months but it keeps getting copyright claimed whenever we upload it on RUclips but I believe we might have finally found the solution to that. Apologies! 🙏
@@myegyptiandadreacts4824 figure it out man. 🤷♂️ I love the reactions but that annoyed me because I love that series. And you are two awesome dudes who have good reactions to that stuff.
@@BriBryBriBry You want to watch it so bad don't be cheap go on patreon and give them a little money.
