HI, how often do you change water in leca? and whats the use of charcoal in cuttings?

I flush lecas once a month and discard any remaining water in each pot. I use charcoal to seal the "wound" of the plant and keep it free from bacteria. I don't use charcoal for cured cuttings. It's only for fresh cuts. 😊
