  • The Swift SW150 is a good low-cost microscope that will get you started in amateur microscopy. I was not paid for making this video, but was sent the microscope free of charge.

    I know this is an old video, but because of you, I purchased one of these off Amazon via Canada. I ordered it yesterday and received it today. I'm so overwhelmed (in a good way). Thank you for all your help.

    One point, i would like to add is the possibility of changing objektives because of the "normal thread". I´ve exchanged the 40 with a 20x and it works very well. I bought this model because of this possibility. Good to see that you also like it.

    Hi Microbehunter. For observing pond life and photographing/filming them, would you suggest the Swift 150, the Swift SW200DL or the Swift 380B? I could get either of the first two microscopes now, but I’d have to save up a while for the 380B. Is it worth waiting for, compared with the two cheaper microscopes?
    Edit: Additionally, what’s the difference between the Swift 350T and 380T? Both seem very similar.

    • @MicrobehunterMicroscopy
      @MicrobehunterMicroscopy  2 года назад +3

      The 150 an 200DL do not have a condenser. They are also much smaller, what you do not see in the pictures. Microscopes with a condenser such as the 350T and 380T are significantly better. The difference between the 350 and 380 is that the latter has a better focusing system and optics. It is also a bit larger. But the differences are not too large.

    Hello, I have watched your channel a lot and I have wanted to buy a microscope, due to the budget I have been thinking about the sw200 but I have a question, is this microscope compatible with commercial eyepieces? Or does it only fit the ones that come by default? Thank you very much for the content, greetings from Mexico

    • @MicrobehunterMicroscopy
      @MicrobehunterMicroscopy  7 месяцев назад +1

      The eyepieces are standard 23mm, but the objectives are not standard.

    Is it possible to upgrade to a 23mm 10x eye piece for this model microscope as opposed to the 18mm eye piece upgrade?

    • @MicrobehunterMicroscopy
      @MicrobehunterMicroscopy  2 года назад +1

      23mm field of view eyepiece does not exist for this kind of tube. The tube of the microscope is 23mm in diameter already. Maximum would probably be a field number 20 eyepiece.

    • @MicrobehunterMicroscopy

      Yes becasue it is an eyepiece camera and they can be used instead of an eyepiece and the size of the eyepieces is the same.
