You are literally my new favorite channel. I absolutely love car history stuff, AND you solved a mystery for me. I have a video somewhere on my phone from 2-3 years ago of a Chevy Venture with the WB logo on the back in front of me at a stop light and I remember saying something like "Who would love WB enough to put a metal bugs bunny on the back of their minivan?" and sure enough, I learned today the factory did it! Hahaha.

There was a lot of cross-promotion between WB and Chevy in the early 2000s, including Chevy drivers driving special Looney Tunes paint schemes in the 2001 and 2002 fall Richmond NASCAR races.

We had a Venture when I was a kid. Not the WB edition, but the LT instead, which was more luxury instead of a TV (luxurious for a 2000 GM plastic-wasteland minivan, anyway), but I was aware of the WB as an option. Brilliant video. I live in the UK now but lived in South Carolina as a kid in the late80s and my grandad had a new Jimmy 4x4 V6 - I seem to remember it was pretty high spec with alloys, two tone paint and half leather. He nearly brought it back to the UK too.
Whacky special editons are great - Ford and Vauxhall here in the UK churned out limited editons by the dozen in the 80s and 90s. I have always been intrigued by the crazy specials that Ford/Lincoln did with Cartier, Mark Cross, etc. they’re amazing!

Since you used the Saturn footage at the top of the video I'm surprised you didn't mention the actual 1994 Homecoming Edition. It came with a pearl white paint from Cadillac, leather/cloth seats, ABS, power accessories, special 15-inch wheels and blacked-out badging. They also did another one in 1999 with a full leather interior and this sort of "mint" color.
Another one of my favorite GM special editions was the 2013 Avalanche Black Diamond. It was sort of released as a "last hurrah" for the Avalanche, similar to what the Eldorado Collector's Series was. It came with a special badge and a coffee table book which showed the history of the Avalanche; as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the Silao production plant, and was personalized with a copy of the owner's window sticker and commemorative photos of their truck.

Now that you’ve reminded me, I remember going mini van shopping with my mom, dad, & little brother around 2000. My bro & I were young, me 10 or so, him a couple yrs younger. I remember going through the brochure for the Chevy and seeing the WB edition. Nothing about the WB bit really registered with me at the time. Glossed over that, but I do remember lusting after that TV. She ended up leasing a Windstar, without a TV. My brother and I made it our mission to lobby for one with a TV every time the lease was up from that point on. 4 or 5 years and 2 Windstars later, they finally relented and got one with the TV, about the time I got my learner’s permit. I got to enjoy that TV for maybe 2 months before I was in the front seat, driving. A few months after that, my mom totaled it. After that she graduated from the mini van to a Volvo XC90. It had a Yamaha built 4.4L V8 making a little over 300hp. That was a lot of power back then. It sounded phenomenal, and to this day it’s one of the smoothest, fastest revving, best V8s I’ve ever experienced. I think Nobel used it, a modified version of it, in the M600. Which, at the time, was one of, if not the fastest car(s) in the world. It may not have been an inbuilt TV, but it brought me the same kind of joy over a car as if it were.
I still lust over that motor, and have always wanted to put one in a project car. In a few years, when mid engine Vettes become a bit more plentiful, I’d love to find one with a blown up engine & transplant one of those 4.4L Yamaha/ Volvo V8s ((re)built) in its place. Or, now that I’m thinking about it, possibly a Lotus Evora/ Emira w/ the same, to take full advantage of the packaging/ transverse layout. Dunno if you could squeeze one into an Alpha Romeo 4C, but, holy shit, would that not pleasure all to completion every time it let you take it out? A MR2 might be more attainable, just as high maintenance, nearly as invigorating, but asks for nearly all your time at mere fractions of the price. Resell’d go the same. So, unlike the Italian, you’d be married to it. Ah, but to be made a fool for love any way you cut it?

Over the last couple of years I’ve become a Jeep XJ and WJ Cherokee guy and was surprised to find they made some weird editions of those too. One was branded a Columbia Edition… literally partnered with a clothing company for some weird reason. You should do a video about all those weird Jeeps lol.
Also surprised not to see the early 90’s SS Silverados in this video. While not super wacky, at the same time it was odd for the Super Sport badge, that was exclusive to muscle cars, to be put on a pickup truck. But boy did it work… those were cool.

I own a 2006 Cadillac Escalade 2wd 6.0 with "Diamond Edition" graphics in the rear quarter windows. It has pinstripes, gold badges, the full stick-on woodgrain trim package covering every switch and vent bezel in the interior, and what I'm pretty sure is a dealer-installed backup cam tied in to the factory touch screen. I've been trying to find info about it before I start changing things, with no luck. My theory is the original owner went all out on the dealer installed options.

Hey pal, One of the quirkiest modern cars I've ever seen was a 2012 Transformers Edition Camaro. The owner told my 2012s were the last year they made a special edition Bumblebee. It was a $3,000 option apparently and it's an RPO code embedded into the vin so someone can't just fake it. He said the metal autobot emblems on the fenders are factory and even have a GM part number. That is so ridiculously geeky and I searched that emblem and it's a couple hundred bucks each from Chevy parts. Absolutely crazy my man

My favorite obscure GM special edition would have to be the Sportsgirl Holden Barina.
The Barina was a small batch - it was a rebadged Suzuki Swift (cultus) / Geo Metro / etc
Sportsgirl is an Australian clothing retailer - as the name implies, catering towards girls.
From memory, I think it even came with a Sportsgirl giftcard, on top of the Sportsgirl decals and bag.

Three that I would have touch base on that I find to be rare is the following the first one I don't know how rare it is but I will include it.
1 GMC Safari GT there was also a Chevy Astro version of it but I can't remember what they called it.
2 most will remember the Chevy Monza Spider Edition but there was also a Scorpion Edition.

In 1979 GM had A Extremely rare interior option for the cutlass it was called the designer interiors there were two types the Tahoe which was a cream color with a white and red native design the other design was called Mojave which was a black seat with a crazy black white and red pattern (think grandma's carpet) My father owns one of these cars with the Mojave pattern on a Oldsmobile cutlass supreme (fully loaded), To my understanding the cars were color keyed to the seat base color Tahoe being a creamish color the car was as well, same thing goes for the Mojave black seats black car. Only 500+ cars were produced and barely any remain in good condition as people would buy the cars and swap out the interior as people (me and my father included) would think its some ugly aftermarket job thankfully our car is a survivor and is in fantastic shape although it has been painted in some spots.
