      I love the if Harry was in Slytherin theory video That’s was so good!!! The best thing about this was Draco redemption arc!!! I loved everything except for Harry and Hermione together. I don’t really see why Harry being sorted into Slytherin changes the affection Ron as for her, even if he developed a crush on Cho. Hermione’s crush on Ron starts early when she was the only one to see him for who he really was, a brave and capable wizard, but with Harry in Slytherin, Ron would have way more opportunities to shine. So I don’t see why Hermione wouldn’t still like him?!? And Harry never never considered Hermione as anything but a friend. So why would Harry being in Slytherin change that.

    How to work backwards to when Dumbledore died: The chapter of DH where Dumbledore's will is read happens on Harry's 17th birthday and Hermione criticizes Rufus Scrimgeour for examining the bequeathed items for the maximum of 31 days. So, July 31 - 31 days = June 30th.

    The reason Bellatrix isn’t at the tower I think is because it shows Voldemort did not have much faith in the plan, after all he expected him to fail. So Voldemort sends some that he believes are expendable, sending Bellatrix would be to much of a risk, she is by far his best death eater that can do death eater things (cause snape can’t) that is available to him right now, a lot of his best people he sent to capture the prophecy because it should have been a relatively easy task but was extremely vital in his eyes. Whereas killing Dumbledore was an extremely difficult plan that he never expected to work. So he sends death eaters like Yaxley and the Carrows because they aren’t as important, as can be seen by them being stationed in the ministry and hogwarts next year, because they are loyal members to the cause but not as great at actual death eater things. This is different to Snape because on the one hand Yaxley and the Carrows were in institutions that Voldemort already controlled, whereas Snape was undercover in the school run by Dumbledore, arguably the greatest wizard of all time, and the only one Voldemort ever feared. One of them takes a lot of skill, the other does not. So in summary Voldemort didn’t want to send Bellatrix because it would be to much of a risk.

    For some reason, every time I think of the events that unfolded at the Clock Tower, even though I like the implications of Snape casting Avada Kedavra on Dumbledore in the place of Draco and the question of who actually killed Dumbledore (the curse or the fall because of the color of Snape’s spell), I think it could have unfolded in a way that mirrored Ariana’s death. Picture this: it is just Draco and Dumbledore alone at the tower, with the former pointing his wand toward the latter, similar to how it went in the books. Harry suddenly appears with Ron, sees what Draco is about to do, screams “No!,” and decides to quickly cast Expelliarmus, but Draco’s adrenaline-filled on-edge state makes him react to Harry’s spell casting as the latter was drawing his wand, dodging it, and as Ron casts his own to help Harry, Draco deflects it back at him, knocking Ron back. Draco then quickly casts Sectum Sempra at Harry, cutting both his hands and making him drop his wand, disarming him in a brutal way as a way to both reflect how Harry cut him in the bathroom and to create a moment of parallelism between both to show how he is both different and very similar to Harry (using spells to disarm, but what each spell does represent their moral alignments and emotional states in the moment and their upbringing). Harry freezes as his hands are bleeding and looks attentively and in desperation at Dumbledore, who softly say’s “Please Harry, don’t” while Draco points his wand at Dumbledore, trembling, and screams at the protagonist, “Stand Down, Potter,” half-crying, with an expression of guilt for what he was about to do that almost felt like he was asking Harry to do everything to stop him, but also to truly stand down so Draco can kill Dumbledore and save his family from being murdered by Voldemort. Time starts moving slowly as Draco turns his back from Potter to look at Dumbledore one last time and ready his Avada Kedavra. Harry stands up and positions himself to “tackle” Draco to prevent him from firing the killing curse. Seeing that, Ron, who thinks Draco could instead kill Harry if fast enough to react to the protagonist’s attack like before, screams for Harry to stop, which actually makes Draco become aware that Harry is going to tackle him, making the former move his wand toward Harry and try casting Depulso to push the latter away from him. But Harry is too quick, and as the spell leaves Draco’s wand, Harry’s tackle to remove the wand from his hand pushes the spell in the direction of Dumbledore, ultimately causing the headmaster to fall from the Tower and die from the impact. This moment would haunt Draco, Harry, and Ron for a long time, being almost in a similar configuration to the fight between Grindelwald, Dumbledore, and Aberforth, with Ron feeling like he caused Draco to cast Depulso by trying to stop Harry (something that could have been explored further through their Horcrux conflict in the last book); Draco feeling like, even though he did not directly kill his headmaster, he inadvertently did by casting the charm that caused Dumbledore to fall, saving his family and helping him be promoted by Voldemort in the same way he was in the books, but feeling some form of hidden emptiness and remorse for doing so (which could justify a sudden redemption arc in the Battle of Hogwarts where he joins Dumbledore’s Army after dueling Harry one last time, a moment that would test Harry’s compassion, goodness, and forgiveness because he would use the moment to thrown all his anger after Dumbledore’s death at Draco and want to possibly kill him), and Harry feeling like he was the one that accidentally aimed the spell at Dumbledore, being the most responsible for his mentor’s death, somebody he loved dearly, much like Dumbledore loved Ariana so much. For Harry specially, after Voldemort cast Avada Kedavra at him and he went to the limbo King’s Cross, his conversation with Dumbledore could result in the latter being able to finally absolve himself from the guilt of his sister’s death by helping Harry forgive himself so the latter does not live a life blaming himself for this incident and suffer because of it, or at least, if that is not Dumbledore but a part of Harry’s consciousness or soul, Harry can help forgive himself by also releasing Dumbledore from his own suffering, something not even the greatest wizard could ever do, who would probably see and appreciate the gesture from the after life

      It varies based on private or public and the state you're in. As well as how many, if any, days school was cancelled due to inclement weather. I was raised in Illinois and went to Chicago public schools. We started our year the first Tuesday in September (that Monday is a federal holiday, Labor Day, so no school) and our last day of the year was anywhere between June 19-22. People graduating from 8th grade or high school ended earlier by a week or two, usually.
      I had friends who went to Catholic schools and they usually started in August and ended in mid to late May. That was roughly the same timeframe for students in suburban school systems as well.
      If our public schools were ***officially*** cancelled due to extreme weather, if the cancellations were more than two days we'd have to stay in school a little longer if I recall correctly. That's probably not at much the case anymore thanks to technology. UNOFFICIALLY depending on the weather we were told we could stay home and it wouldn't be held against us on that day. Days in school is mostly a government funding issues. Catholic schools were a lot more relaxed about closing for bad weather as some of my neighborhood friends loved rubbing in my face.

So it was still a shock too me when he died. But my brother spoiled to me Sirius Black will die after reading that somewhere in a Youths Magazine. I was kind of mad but on the other hand I didn't want to believe it Oh, and I overheared two fellow students talking about Deathly Hallows and one of them told the other that a readhead will die but had the other one guess which. Bellatrix: Uh, I don't have a buddy; we have an odd number! Draco: Ugh . . . Alright, fine, Aunt . . . You're up here with me, then. That's HILARIOUS!! 🤣🤣 (Yes, I'm watching/listening to this @ work right now. Shh! Don't tell anyone! I'm alone in my office right now; no kiddos . . . 🤫)

      That is correct. In Deathly Hallows he was leading the gang of snatchers, including Scabior, that caught the Golden Trio. It was specifically mentioned that he was allowed to wear Death Eaters' robes, but had never been given the high honor of a Dark Mark on his arm, which Fenrir considered to be a shortcoming on his own part.

      @Levacque Год назад +1

      That's just the choice made in the movies. The description in HBP makes the details of the attack sound much more vague and serious at the same time, just that he won't look the same anymore and Ginny can barely even talk about it. Not just a scratch by any means, but he survived due to Greyback being in human form at the time.

    • @aggravatedstrawberry
      @aggravatedstrawberry Год назад

      @Levacque no, fenrir being in human form is why Bill isn't a werewolf, Fenrir wasn't trying to kill him. We know that because if greyback wants to kill you, he will.
