You say "campy megazord" as if earlier incarnations moved like that when none of them did. This mechagodzilla literally moves fast like kiryu, nothing about is creepy or animatronic like it's movements.
He was weakened from blowing hole too the Hollow Earth then went on to whoop Kong then went on to take on Mecha but what do I know just ask the director 8).
Mechagodzilla has come the closest of all of Godzilla's adversaries to killing the King in every single battle they've had across time and media. King Ghidorah may be the most popular and well-known of Godzilla's archnemeses, but Mechagodzilla is the most threatening and deadly.
Not only that he showed he could take way more of a beating than Kong considering how long it took the people to wake Kong back up and then how long it took Kong to decide to help him out.
This just show the only way to beat this iteration of Mecha is to jump him. Godzilla was getting tossed around with Mecha closing every gap Godzilla has.

The thing I hate about these movies is the inclusion of the forced human drama plot points, why can’t we just have a movie about monsters fighting each other….
