Now I know why I get the urge for a wee break with your sunroom videos! Turtle tanks! Lol. Thank you for opening your home and stash for us! Love your arrangement of your floss, stitchy area and stash! Your work area looks well stocked and comfortable, everything within reach. Very creative use of the bed table and the music stand too! I missed the notification of your video upload so I was delighted to see you tonight! Bless little Julie, getting her rest after her precious reunion with your Dearest! Have a Wonderful Week, Hon! Great to see you again! 😀❤️
+Beth McGuire I'll get a better picture of the tanks soon. The turtles have a tendency to freak out and dive for deep water whenever I try to photograph them. I think the tablet freaks them out for some reason. For dumb reptiles, they are pretty observant sometimes. Happy stitching!
You have no idea how much you've helped me! I have the needle needs frame and stand, but I've struggled to find a chair that works. Duh!! The folding chair is a brilliant idea and I've been stitching like a maniac ever since. 👍👍thank you!!
+Kyndle Boyd Glad I could help. I know how you feel. I kept sliding on the sofa and would end up slouching. Finally tried another chair that was better but not right. I kept thinking it was the stand...if I could just get it right. Then one day I was sitting on the sun porch with a friend and we sat for hours stitching. The next day I had a head slapper of a moment. :D
Your home is beautiful!! And I loved seeing how organized you are. And as you can see I am way behind in my video watching also but it is a nice feeling to not worry about running out of flosstube to watch :)
Your videos are so enjoyable to watch! Thanks for sharing your great stitching area and storage methods!
+Brenda Tomlinson Thank you, Brenda. They're fun to do, too! FT has been a great source for ideas. Happy stitching!
Hi Lori Lovely tour and well organised system for storage, love the music stand fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing your home with us.HugsAmanda from UKxx
+Amanda Williamson Thank you for watching, Amanda.
I just watched you for the first time...you ROCK! Had a blast! Thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed my humble little musings. I'm due for an update.
Really enjoyed the tour of your stitchy room. I didn't get sick at all. lol. The idea of the music stand was brilliant. Will have to check to see if I can find one. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Love watching all of yours.
+Febby Marsh Thank you, Febby. After I watched the video, I thought I should put a warning label. Glad I didn't make "everyone" sick! [grin] Thanks for watching, too! Happy stitching!
Great tour and you are very inspiring with your organization!!! Love the music stand...gonna go check the inner depths of my daughter's closet and see if she still has her stand from when she played oboe in middle school!!
+Traci Rickert Hope your treasure hunt is successful!
OMG. I am drooling! If you ever, ever, ever decide that you want to get rid of your HDF, I will buy them all from you!
Oh, my friend, you will have a looooong wait for that! [grin] They are so fun to work with. Deals are out there. Just keep an eye out!
+Organic Granny they are my absolute favorite!
I love your channel! you are so fun to watch
Love, love, love the music stand idea Floss-tubers have such great ideas! 👍 enjoyed this video as I do all of them. Have a good one!
+Rena Furman Glad to pass on a good idea! Thank you for watching - happy stitching!
I subscribe and watch your videos, but this is my first comment on any floss tube video! Don't know why I'm so shy about it since I'm a real life extrovert. Go figure. Thank you for sharing your organization and stitchy spot, love them and your puppy. I drooled over your sewing table, lol. What a blessing to still have that in your family! Love your very down to earth chat, feels like I'm across the table from you ;) please keep up the great videos. Love the pvc pipe frame idea.
+PJ Bear Thank you for your kind words! You may find it fascinating that I'm an introvert and *hate* being the center of attention. For some reason, taking to myself into the "dot" on my tablet isn't so scary at all. And I enjoy talking about something that I love. Thank you for watching!
I like your method of organization. It seems as if it was something I would do. I just lack the time and energy to organize my stash. It's all just thrown into my 3 drawer caddy in a somewhat manageable way. Glad to see another video from you! Keep em coming!
+Jennifer Apodaca My "somewhat manageable way" started to get out of hand and I needed to find a better way. As long as you can find what you're looking for, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Love your videos, too!
LOVE all the moving disclaimers! Had me giggling. Nice stash and great stitchy set up. I had my hubby add arms to my cheapy floor stand. Makes a big difference. Not sure how you sit in a folding chair. I sit in a recliner and still have tushy issues. lol Love the video and I will be tuning into your videos! I am off to find myself a music stand!!!
+Judy Richardson I have the most delicate stomach when it comes to motion sickness! I just wanted all who share my affliction to be warned! The folding chair helps me sit upright, I think. I seem to slide forward in anything else. When you find your music stand, I hope you like it as much as I like mine. What a sweet find. Thanks for watching!
I liked it! Gave me a little giggle and time to fasten my seat belt!
Thanks for inviting me into your home for a visit. I honestly felt that I was sitting just across the table from someone I really enjoy, having a chat and hot drink. I wasn't ready to leave just yet, so I am off to hang out with more of your videos.
My first time to watch and my first time to comment.
+gail farrisp I'm glad you enjoyed the "grand tour". Feel free to chat back! [wink!] Happy stitching!
thank you for the video. you inspire me every time. though I found a LNS, flosstube is still a must see.
You are so organized, I need to be more organized. It makes me a little sad seeing all the pretty HDF silks knowing I can't buy anymore lol not that I really NEED more, but as you said, I'm not going to deny myself! Love how you reused the music stand, very smart use. I also use a hospital over the bed table, its my little laptop table and holds all my stitchy supplies and cup of tea. Since I am in bed a lot these days from pain or in my recliner it works great. I agree with what you said about working on the fabric that makes you happy, I am an aida girl, working on anything else just made me frustrated and confused, I feel happy working on my aida. Of course it helps to have a big container of hand dyed aidas and other fun fabric choices when you want to start a new project, and yet I never seem to have the right one ;) I am fairly new to flosstube, haven't done my first video yet, I must get around to it. I used to be on the HDF forum though so if you were there you may remember me as romansmum.
+Button Addict I discovered HDF just before she quit dying silk. I ordered a hank of premium black - the most beautifully inky, light absorbing black I'd ever seen. I was an instant fan. I was shocked and dismayed when her website folded. Sorry, I didn't hang out on the forum. I really didn't get a chance. The table with wheels is such a handy thing to have. [sigh] Hand dyed fabrics - If I had a LNS, I'd probably have a serious stash of that, too. I hope you do a video! There's almost as much fun to make as they are to watch. Thank you for watching mine.
I used to get silkweavers and enchanted fabrics hand dyed of the month club, so I built up quite a stash in that time.
Lol!!! I'm watching you too!!!💕.
I love your stitch spot tour - loving your system! Thank you for doing me tag! Love how you have the music stand and hospital bed tray lol!
+Teresa Little Stitcher Glad you enjoyed it! Tags are fun, aren't they?
xx
Oh I will have to get mag eyes lol! I love how hubby goes to his barn lol! Oh motion sickness sucks - I'm so pleased I don't suffer that with 4 hours of commuting a day. I love your project box that you take with you!
+Teresa Little Stitcher The MagEyes were a great investment. I hope you enjoy them if you get them! 4 hours of commuting is possible in my area, too. If you can figure out how to stitch during that time, that would be fantastic! Don't think you could take a HAED though. [grin]
LOL!! I think I will stick with the perforated paper Mill Hill kits for the commuting lol!!! Although I have received a great tip on Elizabeth Bradley tapestry minis - I could do them on a train - so think I'm going shopping lol :)
Love watching, like you say I don't always get the chance to comment but that's because I normally watch on my iPad and commenting with that is a pain. But I'm on my PC now and watching (mainly listening!) while working! Need to catch up!! Thanks Lori :)
+Pyrex Stitches You're welcome! I've tried to watch on my iPad, too. Easy to watch, but you're correct about the commenting. Love your collection.
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it.
+Christine Cannon Thank you for watching, Christine. Happy stitching!
Thank you for responding, we are all very busy, but it is nice anyway. Thanks again.
enjoyed your video.thanks for the tour!
+olive mae Thank you watching!
Love your stitchy area, it is very hard to keep up with everyone now but I try also happy stitching sweetie xxx
+crossstitchbutton Thank you, CSB. And I'm so excited that everyone is making videos! This has taken off in the last year. I hope we're helping the industry.
Glad to see a video from you today. I was just telling my mother about you and your "collection" earlier
+auntie jenn stitches Oooh, I hope you were gentle!
I loved the tour - thank you so much for taking the time to do it... You look so well organised and I love your stitchy spot... Does the window behind you look out into a garden? It is amazing what you can do with the space you have isn't it ;) I think one of the reasons I love these vid's is the fact you get to glimpse into other people's homes for just a short while -perhaps I am just a voyeur at heart ;) Take care now..
Sharon - Australia
+a stitch today - the rest tomorrow Alas, the front window looks out onto a fairly busy street. The back is much more peaceful. Happy stitching!
NCIS....My fave!
+Jeannie Tews Me, too!
Love your videos.
+Donna Ross Thank you for watching!
Great tour! I love your music stand--and the hospital wheeled tray thing ( I wonder what they really are called?) is a terrific find. You have a lovely stitchy area!
+Jeri P Hey, Jeri! I found it on Amazon, it's called an Adjustable Non-Tilt Overbed Table / Hospital Table. Thank you for watching!
interesting video. love to see how other people do storage!
+Val Wellings Thank you for watching. There are quite an array of methods, aren't there?
Loved the video! Nice set up! hehe Would love a little more room! Thanks for sharing :) and take care of yourself and that really cute puppy! :)
+JayCei Thank you! She's my stitching buddy. And thank you for watching.
My Turtle wants to move in with yours he needs a tank like that
loved your video
+Sheila Cagle Oh, dearest would be over the top with joy if he had to clean *another* turtle tank. They're higher maintenance than I thought they'd be. And, if properly cared for, will outlive us all.
Oh for sure they take much more care than I ever tbought I will be dead for years before mr turtle goes
Great idea on the music stand. Going to have to find me one.
+Jo Gregoire Hope you stumble on one. I found mine at my local thrift store. Good luck!
I've been curious what the water noise was in your videos! Turtles. So cool! How did you start keeping them? I can't remember if I've asked you before!
And I enjoyed seeing how you store all of your things. I can't wait until I have the space to set up my own stitchy spot!
+BlimeyCatStitches I've had my turtles for about 8 years. A co-worker had them before me and her great dane kept trying to eat turtle snacks. I felt bad and in a fit of weakness, took them off her hands. THEN I did my research on how to properly care for turtles. My free turtles have been very expensive and labor intensive. I would strongly recommend no one get one. They may out live me. :D
I'm so happy to hear you looked into proper turtle care. I feel like I've heard stories where people buy tiny baby turtles, who then get bigger, and stay in the same cramped tanks. So good on you for caring for them!
haha, yep im 155 videos behind
+Stitching Joanne [sigh] And farther and farther, too. But we're keeping the craft alive!
Hi Lori, I've paused the video so I can ask a question regarding the red 3.0 magnifying glasses you showed from your pool box. Do you wear those instead of your day-to-day glasses you are wearing in the video? Or do you somehow wear them both at the same time when you stitch? And back to the video!
+Tara Ward Hey, Tara! The 3.Os are just readers from Sam's Club. I just use those instead of my glasses that you usually see me wearing. When I use my Mageyes, I use my "regular" glasses under. So in conclusion, 3.Os by themselves, Mageyes with my regular glasses.
