I was originally here for coldplay, but literally stunned by how great the athletes are in the video footages along with coldplay's song! It is not hard to imagine how much effort they have paid, how many challenges they have to conquer to earned their place!
I actually love the song Strawberry Swing, it's such an incredible song and to hear it live would be amazing. Had I been there, I think I might have fainted from the sheer awesomeness. The entire ceremony was really good. Much better than the Olympic closing ceremony.
I was a games maker volunteer at the Grange St. Pauls Paralympic Family Hotel in central London and was lucky enough to be given tickets to attend this ceremony and feel the amazing atmosphere inside the stadium. It was one of the very best nights of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to have been a part of the London 2012 Paralympic Games!
I was priveledged to be at the Olmpic Park watching the weekends wheel rugby finals and then the closing ceremony, words fail to convey the true joy I felt being there, being a part of magical summer of sport. To all who made it possible Thank you.
Why wouldn't it?? Fix you is a song about unconditional love and about no matter what happens, I'm here for you, I love you and I'll support no matter what you're going through
Phil Craven’s pirate anecdote is honestly one of the only engaging bits from the Olympic speeches I’ve ever heard. Can he do them all instead of Thomas Bach?
Lucky enough to have got tickets and wow wow it was absolutely amazing - the lights in the stadium were spectacular, the sound system was sensational, the atmosphere electric and then you add Coldplay to the mix and it just became the best gig ever with the added bonus of being the last night of London 2012 - what a way to finish the Summer!
Absolutely super-fantastic. Technical wizardry, aerial acrobatics, infectiously delightful dancing, crazy-fantastic artistry in set & prop & vehicle design, music integral to the themes and performers all wholly invested in celebrating the athletes, volunteers, and supporters of the Games. And the bits of commentary from the livestream show help us non-Brits identify the special guests and performers.
sin duda coldplay la mejor banda del mundo, exelente cierre de los juegos y que mejor con coldplay en su mejor momento...ojala lleguen pronto a chileeeeeeeeeeeeee...
Closing ceremony as it should by always...One big party with an excellent band live......After this I decide to see coldplay live no matter what.....I m not their big fan , even I like few their songs, but the energy Chris gave to the show is unbeliavable and I want to see him live
The whole show was brilliant , the planning that must of gone into a show of this scale , cold play were perfect for the occasion , I for some reason was proud of my england ,something that rarley happens these days
I wish the Olympic Spirit was the truth of humanity, but we have a long way to go, much to clear up, to put right to grow and change if we want to survive. If life was like it was that day, humanity could even overcome war, pestillence and destruction and terrible injustice. I pray we will discover that Spirit within us forever.
"To the athletes of the world. To the people of London and The United Kingdom. To the volunteers. And the staff of the London 2012 organizing committee. Thank you for an unforgettable summer. And thank you for inspiring the generation. GOOD NIGHT AND GOODBYE!"
The whole concert you almost can't hear the crowd because of the size of the stadium and and Viva la Vida (1:31:15) you can hear them so hard in the background... INCREDIBLE!
i was only 9 so i don’t rlly remember much from this night but there’s something about hearing mylo xyloto and charlie brown which makes me start balling,, i can literally see the lights and feel the vibrations of the music in my heart like i did on that night :((((

Disagree with Jay Z being there. I can understand Rihanna being there because her country is a part of the commonwealth. But Jay Z has nothing to do with UK or the Commonwealth realms.
***** I wasn't referring specifically to the Commonwealth Games. I meant that he is an American, and it should have been kept a English/Commonwealth affair. He was only there for viewership!
actually Chris martin (lead singer of coldplay) and Jay Z are really good friends, they hang out and stuff so I think it was chris' choice to have him there. Just saying, coldplay would never want viewership they are awesome and worth viewing already without jay z.
The idea of every Olympics ceremony is to showcase various aspects of the host country. The UK has a rich history of storytelling & mythology, which seems to have been drawn upon here. Some aspects reflected our pagan past, some of which seems dark, but really is about death/rebirth, light coming out of darkness, spring following winter. In paralympic athlete terms, these scenes symbolised (to me) triumph over adversity, rebirth, "keeping the flame alive" inside and rising to meet challenges....
Do we all know.... this is probably the best music and entertainment display this world has ever seen. I have been totally enthralled... and by the way... I am (or was not) a coldplay fan. This was incredible........ roll on... coldplay I am now a fan

By far the best paralympic ceremony ever, 10 years later this it's still hard to do better
best closing ceremonies of any Olympics, any time, ever.
No pressure on Will Champion at all with that last drum solo...
I actually love the song Strawberry Swing, it's such an incredible song and to hear it live would be amazing. Had I been there, I think I might have fainted from the sheer awesomeness. The entire ceremony was really good. Much better than the Olympic closing ceremony.
That was one heck of an evening the stadium rocked, an excelent conclusion to an excelent Paralympics.

- the hosts' voices = perfect concert
who else had tears in their eyes when coldplay started with scientist and the clips were shown!? world is still a beautiful place!
At first I was upset they didn't do my favorite of theirs Fix You, then I realized it probably wouldn't go over well in this situation.....
Why wouldn't it?? Fix you is a song about unconditional love and about no matter what happens, I'm here for you, I love you and I'll support no matter what you're going through
Even though that song is about emotional fixing, I can see why it might be tone-deaf.
No he visto banda igual en años, son increíbles, su musica es grandiosa! me encanta!
I can say "I was there"! Great paralympics!!! Thanks to all volounteers!
#1yearon since @rihanna @coldplay and Jay Z put on a show that no one could forget >> bit.ly/17KIkfS #ParalympicMemories

Phil Craven’s pirate anecdote is honestly one of the only engaging bits from the Olympic speeches I’ve ever heard. Can he do them all instead of Thomas Bach?
Coldplay you are so perfect...
After this amazing historical event ended , this will never go on again for another 60 + YEARS this going to be remembered forever, god save the Queen
I was there. Brilliant concert.

La mejor clausura que he visto la vdd mis respetos Coldplay estuvo increíble uno de los mejores grupos que puede tener Inglaterra lo maximo

This was more amazing than Olympics Closing Ceremony. Thanx Coldplay for being so talented! Amazing footage!

The "my love" part sung by Chris Martin in "Yellow" is INTOXICATING~ love love...

I can't describe how much I absolutely love Coldplay. Their instrumentals, lyrics and just energy is amazing
Coldplay were amazing, but hat's of too all the paralympic athletes.
sin duda coldplay la mejor banda del mundo, exelente cierre de los juegos y que mejor con coldplay en su mejor momento...ojala lleguen pronto a chileeeeeeeeeeeeee...
1:13:50 Go on my son ........ fANTASTICreally meant it that little lad...his Mum & Dad must be so proud of him...
Ah Bluekillion, thanks....One of the most inspirational things this cynical old heart has ever seen
Chris Martin awesome! He has the charisma of a squid
+Ronald Griffiths..... and you have a rather cynical view of life....jealousy perhaps?
Ein Highlight in der Geschichte der Paralympics. Diese Abschlussfeier stellt so einiges in den Schatten. Thank you London!!!
Let's be honest, we came here for Coldplay and not Rihanna or Jay-Z
Not gonna lie lol.
Kyle Fang i came for Rihanna 😍
Yes. Hahaha
happy 11 years london 2012
No.. are you serious Coldplay 😂
I really want to cry of emotion every time I see Coldplay's performance. UNFORGETTABLE.

Not gonna lie lol
No.
Closing ceremony as it should by always...One big party with an excellent band live......After this I decide to see coldplay live no matter what.....I m not their big fan , even I like few their songs, but the energy Chris gave to the show is unbeliavable and I want to see him live
I'm scottish, and I'm proud to be british 🏴🇬🇧
The whole show was brilliant , the planning that must of gone into a show of this scale , cold play were perfect for the occasion , I for some reason was proud of my england ,something that rarley happens these days
1:31:20 goosebumps for 30 seconds. Nice to remember that concert.
+Luis M. Rivera This part always give me goosebumps.
The best ceremony of paralympics games!
ohhh so cute!! Rihanna and Chris Martin looked so pretty together
He was the drummer with the amazing way of drumming!!!!!!! So proud of him!!!!!!!!!!
I wish the Olympic Spirit was the truth of humanity, but we have a long way to go, much to clear up, to put right to grow and change if we want to survive. The scientist and game highlights were just heartwarming and inspiring
1:19:30 until the beginning of Strawberry Swing is pure bliss
"To the athletes of the world. To the people of London and The United Kingdom. To the volunteers. And the staff of the London 2012 organizing committee. Thank you for an unforgettable summer. And thank you for inspiring the generation. GOOD NIGHT AND GOODBYE!"
The paralympians are the real sport heroes. With dissabilities they still do sports on the best level
when coldplay started with Us Against The World,i screamed,my favourite EVER song!
Coldplay is the way, always said that.
The whole concert you almost can't hear the crowd because of the size of the stadium and and Viva la Vida (1:31:15) you can hear them so hard in the background... INCREDIBLE!
OMG Rih sounds so gooooood *_*
i was only 9 so i don’t rlly remember much from this night but there’s something about hearing mylo xyloto and charlie brown which makes me start balling,, i can literally see the lights and feel the vibrations of the music in my heart like i did on that night :((((
These announcers killed the songs. :/
+TheRoqco Then look up the Songs on RUclips and make a Playlist.... that's what I did.

these commentators are getting to me! i just want to hear coldplay sing i don't need all this commentary! wth!
@Coldplay Live Official we want the last song - politik - and i mean that version :D
2:05:00 that is awesome. The guitar, Rihanna being at her best, pretty good rap too.
why have people disliked this
and also commentators talking in the middle of sons. that ruined some of the starts, especially Yellow!!
my mate macy is in town and thank god some of my mates landed back home now i can see them and kinda chill...last time i was told i was deaf in bradford.. thanks macy ..

Just fantastic Coldplay. SO the right band to have on stage this night, so many good causes supported by them over the years. Great band, superb guys
Disagree with Jay Z being there. I can understand Rihanna being there because her country is a part of the commonwealth. But Jay Z has nothing to do with UK or the Commonwealth realms.
This was the Paralympic Games... not the same as the Commonwealth Games :)
***** I wasn't referring specifically to the Commonwealth Games. I meant that he is an American, and it should have been kept a English/Commonwealth affair. He was only there for viewership!
The olympics is a global event so why shouldn't Americans be at the ceremony. By your logic only the host country should be able to compete...

They have conspiracy
as one of those many volunteers... seb coe's speech is still a highlight I have never forgotten some 12 years on
I wish the commentators would shut up.
Watching again, it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, what a wonderful closing ceremony
This is unwatchable with the folks talking over the awe-inspiring art.
Let the performance speak for itself.
Amazing. Very inspirational. Great performances. All athletes are Warriors especially the Paralympic athletes.
Shut it commentators!!
A bit too much jabbering by them announcers.
i just want to...cry because he exists in life love you chris martin and thank you for your beautiful music you gift us with
Dark preprograming..big bue pill..at our expense..sad
Evidence please
Just watched this again. Such a great vibe and the music and the dancing. After such great preparation they should have taken this on the road.
Absolutely sobbed at Viva La Vida. Geniuses. Complete and utter geniuses. So beautiful!!
Strawberry swing really is a great song, and this performance only amplified that awesomeness!
Brilliant show, Coldplay were awsome, whole show wass put together well, and I was brilliant as well
I was there on the field as an athlete...magic moment....unforgettable!
I was there as a member of the OBS team and cold play were amazing, the whole thing was a once in a lifetime experiance
WHY DOES NO ONE EVER TALK ABOUT ABOUT PARALYMPICS THIS IS BRILLIANT
The idea of every Olympics ceremony is to showcase various aspects of the host country. The UK has a rich history of storytelling & mythology, which seems to have been drawn upon here. What can I say.. Coldplay you are more than amazing.. Love you
Thank god this is on RUclips! Went on holiday to the USA and they didn't even show anything from the Paralympics at all, meaning I missed this,
The last clips made me emotional..I wish i could experience the upcoming Paralympics live
the paralympic anthem was THRILLING
THEY'VE DONE AN AMAZING RENDITION AND A GOOD WORK :)
