The metagame WILL take over this game. It is an LCG. If you make your own decks and try to keep them balanced it will stay light and fluffy, but if you were to take it to an LCG game night people would be playing competitively. It can still be lots of fun but it is a totally different playstyle! I prefer to play those wonderful Battlelore type games behind you for my light GoT fix!
Ciao, ottimo video, come sempre. Ti ringrazio anticipatamente!
Is it worth to start collecting deluxe expansions nowadays since they've stopped printing it as far as I know? I've recently bought a base game at playlibra and don't know if I should continue buying more at this point.
In Dust what are some of the meta builds that soured it for you? Did you find that the cheap SSU artillery with spotters was overpowered? I have full armies for all factions and plan to convince friends to play picking units from what I have which I don't think will allow for too much power gaming. I was definitely given some grief at a tournament for having "cheese" units (which being new I really had no idea about) when I was obviously up against much more completive forces anyway; such as winter child and the SSU arty.
While I understand your "fear of the metagame", it is the nature of the beast if you will. The Fantasy Flight's LCGs are aimed (in my opinion) at the competitive crowd of gamers. They host tournaments, championships, etc.

Small Correction on the Plot Phase: The higher initiative CHOOSES initiative order, they don't go first by default. Great video as always.
Thanks for taking the time to make all your great reviews.
Great vid dude...GREAT explaining...Keep on producing :)
thanks for this great video. I can't wait to get my copy of this game! even my wife (who's not a board game person) wants to play it!

+Pigumami I hear Netrunner has gone that way, players need to basically but every single new set of cards to stay competitive.
Agree 100% with your statement about books vs show
