Great detailed and logical presentation. Black melamine is very handsome, and I have used it for the sexy look in my shop too. But I've since come to favor white melamine. Love to know how much you spent on your assembly table.. I'm about to build a 2nd table now that I've been woodworking for a few years and I know what I want in a new table... it will be the first all plywood table I build with drawers I will build myself
If you were to build this exactly the same way I did and get everything brand new it’s going to be over $2500. That is the biggest reason I decided not to do plans for this because I know that that is out of the realm of possibility for a lot of people. If you already have the MFT’s obviously that would save you a dramatic amount of money

Yeah, after looking at the Rockler site, they have either 28” or 32” tall legs, and various widths. I do have their router table and it is very nice and solid. Hi Jason, I was a bit surprised that you used three rather expensive MFTs to make the assembly table. You could have achieved the same by using a full 8x4 sheet with CNC cut holes on the base frame or using one of the deep profiles to make the frame. It would guarantee all holes were true and avoid any risk due to the link bars getting loose. As it seems the rail is always used in the same place the hinge and end brackets could be fixed directly to the frame so you wouldn't miss the proprietary Festool profiles around the MFTs. I like your mitre station.
