I’m currently in my first relationship (post-college) and when they mentioned how much you take on as an adult (time with family, time with friends, advancing in your career, etc.) and trying to balance THAT alongside your partner, YES. ABSOLUTELY. RELATABLE. In the late-20’s spectrum, there is definitely more freedom and maturity supporting your relationship - something I knew I wasn’t going to get in middle/high school/even college! As a young adult, I watched all (literally, every single one) of my friends go in and out of relationships, and I always thought ‘aww, what was wrong with me?’ and alllll that teen-melodramatic assumptions, lol. 10 years+ later, I’m incredibly relieved to have been a “late-bloomer” because up until now, I never knew who I was as a person, much less what I really wanted in a partner! So that is a MUST to set straight before anything else! 👍🏼
College relationship feels routine and safe because both of you are on the same path. Post college really stress tests a relationship because there are a lot more career, life, financial decisions that can drive people apart. That's what end up happening to me but at least it was a mutual breakup. Adult dating is hard af though cause there's so much more at stake so I have to be super picky.
should talk about how to make life long friends during college or after college for next lunch break cause i feel like after high school its hard to make new friends when everyone has a set of really good friends from before college.
In college : you are in a relationship, life is easy, sun is up lul After college : work = you broke up with your college boyfriend = you work with random ppl with 98% of the ppl older than you = you’re lonely af
I feel like it's the opposite. You have little time in college because your working and taking classes. Once you're working you have a bit more time (of course depending on the job) and more time for each other plus you more mature than you are in college
Post college dating I've noticed my friends use dating apps and either they get lucky and meet their soul mate instantly or have been on the apps for years getting more disappointed/jaded when things don't work out. But it's totally true, I've seen my friends in their late twenties/early thirties get married, have kids, and buy houses vs when we were younger and relationships weren't as serious.
A few friends married their bffs from college dating--and are still married 35+ years later. People found jobs and stayed in the same area after graduation. Some later moved due to work or even had "weekend marriages" for awhile during grad school.
I just stopped talking to someone, and I am a sophomore in college now. You guys give me motivation to try and make more friends in college. Thank you guys!
tmw i'm still going through first breakup feels in college and I found this video... 😭 LOL tbh though this video helped me realize some stuff. relationships aren't forever, but eventually with experience you'll know what you like and don't like, which will hopefully lead you one day to a fulfilling relationship. thanks for the video!! love this series hehe
So many great references! Also, loved the not-Deadpool reference, but everyone knows Ryan IS Deadpool IRL. AND shoutout to Sherry for the awesome editing!! ❤
I watched this video and it reminds me of my first ever relationship that started during my second year. Sadly now I am in my grad school and I don't even have time to cook for myself. It's a whole different thing we experience once you start working and focus on ourselves. It's sad at times but it's real ☹️
Whoa I'm actually early for once! In any case... @7:20 LMAO I looped that three times to see each person's reaction HAHA wow that took a dark turn for a second
I've graduated from college for a while now and will be going to grad school. And I still have no dating experience. Maybe I'll find someone in grad school. 😅😅😅 Also Jenn's cabbage reference gave me LIFEUUUU 💙💙💙
I didn't have a relationship all throughout University, and entered into a relationship right afterwardsthat lasted 10 years...so didn't realize until my thirtys how much I hate dating!
This couldn't have come at a better fitting time.. Just had a conversation with my boyfriend today about life after undergrad :/ (we don't really have the same places in mind)
hello MWF, been caught up on your channel due to WongFu Prod. it was fun getting to know the other crew members from WFP. i ran out of your shorts to watch and also really liked the one or first debut film released to Netflix. with the example of the writing in that long form film, there is a slight letdown in your discussion in your lunch breaks. the story of the film spoke to couples with a past or want to commit to something new. but more importantly it was not about getting in conflict possibly with your other friends over your love. which results in me getting a slight dizzy spell on who was the writer. the members are great but the subtlety of the two characters is important. i guess i chose the right one to write about the film here. please keep up the discussion - sometimes it's good to spend 10 or more minutes eating and listening to something of another form. elle for coffee after college
I would totally consider it a date if me and my potential were to shop for groceries!!! SO CUTE. You can totally make puns. *picking out apples* "This one's bad...this one has bruise..Can you help me look for a good one please?" "Sure" "--Oh, wait! I found one!" "Let me see!" "It's you. Cause you're the apple to my eyeeeeee"
I always think about if the guy I could be with is someone I can marry and deal with for the rest of my life and I am under 18. Go big or go home baby 😭😭😭
@11:07, Yep, I agree with Chris on that "either it's happening or not" idea. That's why I already gave up on my love life. I'm 32yo right now and an Asian-American dude, so, when I was in my mid-20s, I thought "either it's happening or not"... And it did not, so, I'm not gonna let that BS interfere with the rest of my life. Shhh....
In college: looking for a relationship... After college: IDGAF anymore... More time and money for me to spend on myself! Anyone else feel that way, or is it just me? Haha. (Oh yeah, I'm an Asian-American guy, if that even matters...)
NEW MERCH is now live at wongfustore.com!! 😏
Will y'all resupply the Soondooboo cropped hoodie in size small any time soon?!
I love how Jenn loves the last airbender
Jenn also loves how Jenn loves the last airbender
More Wong Fu but does jen loves how kathryn love how jen loves the last airbender?
I'd love it if Jenn loved how I loved how Jenn loves the last airbender.
Side note: "Water, Earth, Fire, Air. Long ago the four nations lived together in harmony."
Kathryn I absolutely like Jen now because of that.

The best part of the video😹😹😹😹😹
Maybe he meant he wrote about that relationship in some of the shorts
I love it at 9:00 when Wes dropped his chicken and he picked it up again wait for a while(checking whether it will fall again) then eat it 😂
CoMMiTmEnT IsSUEs
haha, the second time he picks it up: "OI. YOU STAY THERE. *NOM!!!*"
Jess Kidding I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed that!!!
Jess Kidding 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m DYING
Good, many people noticed it too 😂😂😂

I feel like it's the opposite. You have little time in college because your working and taking classes. Once you're working you have a bit more time (of course depending on the job) and more time for each other plus you more mature than you are in college

i love jenn and phil's relationship LOLLLLL too funny when Jenn makes references that Phil will just never get... haha
Post college dating I've noticed my friends use dating apps and either they get lucky and meet their soul mate instantly or have been on the apps for years getting more disappointed/jaded when things don't work out. Jen and Phil would be great BFFs. Their personalities match so much.
I watched this video and it reminds me of my first ever relationship that started during my second year. Sadly now I am in my grad school and I don't even have time to cook for myself. It's a whole different thing we experience once you start working and focus on ourselves. It's sad at times but it's real ☹️
The fact that a short probably came from this discussion, I'm in love

I would love it if you guys did your own podcast omg. Or like go on Spotify and just put the audios from all of your lunch break talks.
Wes is always poetic when he talks :)
Jenn's highlight is blinding me thru my screen
March 25th 2 years later, this appears on my youtube homepage, right as my first year in college ends
Whoa I'm actually early for once! In any case... @7:20 LMAO I looped that three times to see each person's reaction HAHA wow that took a dark turn for a second
Jenn's expression was the best lool
Loved this! Great job guys!
I've graduated from college for a while now and will be going to grad school. And I still have no dating experience. Maybe I'll find someone in grad school. 😅😅😅

Sherry, editing on point! loved the references 😂😂
Phil: “Today we want to start that conversation with you guys”
Wong Fu: builds a whole series around a lunch break topic

I like how Phil tried to stay away from really mentioning Ryan Reynolds... but Wes called him out. We know Phil's love for Ryan Reynolds :P
I was just staring at the fan art on the wall and thinking, "It'd be cool if Ted visited at least ONE time on a lunch break."
@11:07, Yep, I agree with Chris on that "either it's happening or not" idea. That's why I already gave up on my love life. I honestly just had to pause the video and @ 1:01 to appreciate the atla reference. Uncle Iroh would be proud.
In college: looking for a relationship... After college: IDGAF anymore... More time and money for me to spend on myself! Anyone else feel that way, or is it just me? Haha. (Oh yeah, I'm an Asian-American guy, if that even matters...)
"MY CABBAGES" from Avatar the last airbender!!!!
