  • Today I describe dreams very different from any I've heard of. They're caused by my nortryptaline and psychotic symptoms, and have been getting more realistic from medication.

      @@MyOddExperiences I've also enjoyed his art video about people that have mental illnesses or how they have Alzheimer's annd how they depict themselves in the pictures they paint or draw each year until they don't even Recognized themselves. Even if they had a mirror right next to them and drawing they wouldn't recognize themselves or be able to draw that's what the brain does at that point. It's sad truly. :(

    To start off, I'll just immediately tell you that I have a brain injury caused by high intracranial pressure brought on by some kind of bacterial infection, a few days after I was born. I have had similar dreams and mental problems all of my life. Like you, I have unrealistic dreams that involve many colors, crazy patterns, pain sensations, going out of body, reading or making up non existing words and even complicated music. These often come on as soon as I dose off and immediately something snaps and goes into overdrive, which causes my brain to go haywire. The more coherent dreams involve fighting to death, dying, being buried alive, being dead, being a victim in genocide (!), being electrocuted, being tortured. being stuck in dreamworld, knowing it, and yelling "help me" in my sleep to get out because it lasts too long. Sometimes intense dreams involve extreme physical tinnitus, seemingly brought on by a severe panic state. Other times the dreams involve multiple worlds colliding and interacting, evil or unrealistic characters or beings and Godlike presences that govern worlds. I have been researched for epilepsy, and while they found some irregularities, the most strange thing to me is that during these unrealistic dreams I am, from a neurological point of view at least, ... awake. :(
    Unlike you, some dreams simply happen in known places. Yet the events and dialogues tend to be nonsensical. I do not have much energy to spend during the day and I do not hallucinate in daily life apart from experiencing strange smells while being stressed. Irrational paranoia and fear does happen at times, but I still see this separate from reality, for the most part. This has become harder getting older, though.
    Anti-psychotics lessen the overal symptoms, but they can also modulate these strange states. For example, on asenapine, I simply got up a few times, skipping the sleep-like state, completely confused while everything sounded superloud and threatening, as if I wasacting out these states in real life instead of being seeminly asleep. As far as lessening these states goes, Seroquel works the best. Lyrica helps too. As do SSRI's. Good ... night? (lol!)

      @@keef78 I honestly kind of love Seroquel because it's easy to dose accurately thereby easier to wake up from and all in all it works rather well. And since you can take low doses like 25mg you limit the risk for tardive dyskinesia. My brain works quite inefficient meaning unrelated stuff pops up all of the time and Seroquel slows things down and filters out the noise. The first time you're kind of not expecting how it hits but you get used to it. Asenapine works even better but it tastes bad and is harder to wake up from. I did have a bad expérience with Abilify point being meds are hit or miss. Ability gave me severe akathasia.

      @alaididnalid7660 3 года назад +1

      @@elblondie69falconer65 no problem I'll take it as a compliment while in truth this weird stuff comes to me uninvited. The best part of it is that I kind of know it's not real. A blessing that people with psychosis do not have. I guess at the time I needed to vent but I'm at a better place now as long as I'm taking the meds. But of course, it's frustrating since neurologists have a hard time making sense out of it. It all might sound crazy since it's basically like a drug trip but at least I don't have epilepsy (yet). Imho, that's possibly worse as epilepsy is infamous for getting worse over the years when treatment should fail. The funny thing is...in real life...I'm creatively a disaster lol. Can't write a song or a poem for the life of me!

My mental health team haven't given me an official diagnosis yet but schizophrenia is the one they most consider. Themes of eyes, bright colours, distortion, mutilation, the disconnection but overdrive of senses, continuing to dream after you've died, etc. It is fucking intense but comforting to hear someone describe it too. Thank you for sharing. Hope it gets easier.

      There is a connection between both, or human experience colliding with or spiritual energy still connected to other dimensions. I personally believe in the theory that due to some still well connected to their other(s) lives beyond this dimension (human experience) causes conflict. If you are feed continuous negative words from birth to present you are going to buy in and allow that negative energy in which causes anxiety, depression, fear, etc which leads you down a path of self destruction to include adding meds that hinder your natural ability to find balance and self awareness. Some do fortunately find multiple paths that they are able to seek inner awareness to control and find peace due to having individuals with the same path in life. Unfortunately how we feel emotionally is passed on throughout like a string connected to all or lives in all dimensions. The anxiety he feels before going to bed is also the energy state he will be in on the other side. Which could explain the negative energies being attracted to him on the other side. Since he is still aware (3rd eye) he is able to remember and articulate visually and artistically. I would say he has a gift to manifest easily, I would say he is a Gemini. Geminis are more commonly to be schizophrenia from very mild symptoms, as myself, to extreme cases.

    • @robps26
      @robps26 3 года назад +1

      I dropped the meds a long time ago, not soon enough. And I was able to learn about myself spiritual without religion. Just learning that yes we have a connection to everything which is created by one singular conscious. I went to learn from that point on and found inner peace. Most of all control which lead to me being far more healthier physically and mentally. My financial, relationships, friendships, love life, etc all sky rocketed over night. But that is me, I know this talk will turn off many. I was able to detach on self from the other, and that's how I control both sides to me and still satisfy one side that is always looking for a laugh that has no empathy is any situation, and the other who is thoughtful, charming, and intelligent. Basically an old wise soul with a very young heart. That's how I describe me

    I also try to paint my visions, but I'm not that successful :P In my case, the problem is that I can't stick with my plan when creating, I'm very ambivalent.. I think I might have negative symptoms, probably brought up by my use of hallucinogens..
    By the way, it's very interesting how similar is the 'nature of patterns', considering schizophrenia and psychedelia.. and not only that; many many things seem to be related... anyway
    You seem like a really decent fella. Stay strong friend

      It is pretty long overdue, but I'm planning for my 100 sub special to be about my art and the inspirations they come from. Hallucinations in general seem to be hard for people to remember in detail, so it makes sense that they don't end up accurate. My drawings are mostly representative of my hallucinations rather than replicas, and some visions are literally impossible to replicate in a physical image.
      I have heard of hallucinogen use causing positive symptoms, mostly sober visual hallucinations, but have never heard of them causing issues like emotional flatness or apathy. I am personally very interested in learning about psychedelics and the effects they can have on people, and I'll probably do a video comparing schizophrenia and psychedelics after some research. I won't be doing these drugs, just comparing descriptions. Best of luck with your mental health, it seems these drugs are generally safe if used responsibly and don't often have long term effects. Don't worry too much :)

    You could become a painter, I will be your client for sure :)
    I also thought that you could get in touch with some of the Rick and Morty team, I'm sure they would hire you to create aliens ;)
    When I drink a lot of alcohol, I hallucinate too.
    Sometimes I see things that don't exist.
    And I almost always see plants as "living" beings.
    Many times I see it as if each bush were a different living being, some cool, bad, old, children, couples ... in the same tree lol....
    I understand the sensation of even rationally knowing that they are only plants, I really believe that they are alive at the moment!
    It is very difficult to explain to someone who has never been through such a situation.
    Well, think about using your talent to paint those images ;)
    Cheers from Brazil :)

    I don’t remember what I was on at the time but I was a lot younger. The dream I I can remember almost completely was based on reality but it included a spirit of a big screaming head hurling towards me in my school hallway after everyone suddenly vanished. Giant serpents that lie on the entire length of my hill. And a goat with human eyes in the formation of a spiders, a big duck bill full of baby teeth, a horrible shriek that I can’t compare with anything natural, gross silver and thin fur, and a double sided butter knife lodged in its head like unicorn horn. It was in my kitchen alone, no one was around and all of my furniture were gone, parts of my apartment that I didn’t venture to were just black voids. I got close to the duck goat but after a while it looked at me, shrieked, then pierced my side with its knife. I can remember the pain, I know it’s not comparable to an actual butter knife managing to puncture you but I did feel a pain. It ran off into the void of my hallway and I was bleeding out on my floor till I woke up. I believe I was 9 at the time, I was starting to go to a therapist because they thought I was beginning to see things. I never told him about my dreams but he never asked, which I feel like he probably should’ve. I died a lot in my dreams. If I had the attention and patience I would love to draw mine. They’re no where near as colorful as yours. This does inspire me though, I really want to put what I saw into something. Not just my dreams but things I’ve seen with my very own eyes that I guess never really existed. When you draw them do you feel any kind of release or did they never really bother you that much to begin with? Probably the one of the worst thing I’ve experienced was having a dream where it was so normal that I wasn’t even aware I was dreaming but then sinking into the sidewalk like it was mud into a void of purple, pink, blue, and black. It looked like silk and it twinkled like a galaxy. But not long after I was there a huge entity arrived. It looked like if a giant blanket of spirits was covering a person. Then it’s thin dead hands lifted over me. For what felt like forever I was being ticked across my entire body. I was screaming and crying alone floating in a different world. At that point I knew that whatever dream I didn’t like I could try to die to change it but there was nothing I can do. I pretty much passed out then popped into a different dream after. I can go on and on and on and on. Dementor like things bursting out of an abandoned house slaughtering everyone I knew around the property, the only escape being a booby trapped bridge being watched over by an old man, then me diving into that bridge in 3rd person to explode.
    Or a shadow that leaked out of my wall made of tendrils and mouths tasking me to take out humanity with its ooze that I stored in a coke bottle. I took that bottle and poured it into a pool then told the town that I made the tastiest drink. Word spread and almost everyone in the world was infected with a black ooze that poured out of there eyes and holes. But then to be completely thwarted by a single idiot that drank the rest of the pool before everyone else. Before I could get angry the being jumped out of someone’s mouth then instantly annihilated me, making me wake up.
    As horrible as they get the worst ones are when they effect me emotionally. Really I feel like I can’t find peace and I’ll go into phases where I do not want to go to sleep at all so I don’t have to feel pain or see things. My day dreaming and imagination are exhausting though, I have to be watching, listening, or playing something to not think so much. I genuinely don’t know if things I’ve seen a while ago were just my imagination and I remember that more than the actual moment or if it was something that actually happened on the spot. One night I was kept awake because one windy night something was banging on my window. Keep in mind on on the second and top floor of an apartment complex that over looks a big hill. No tree, not even in front of the bottom floor. It was definitely windy but I have zero idea what can be big enough to cast a shadow and consistently bash my window for 30 minutes, because it did go away. My parents didn’t believe me. I saw a woman in my parents bed, I thought she was their one friend. She waved at me and I waved back. I asked my parents why she was there and they told me to wait in the living room so they can look but didn’t find anything. It was that time they finally took me to see someone. Now I’m having dreams where im slowly being pulled off my bed or what feels like my soul trying to fight against crushing gravity, prying out of my body. I’ll be on my side and all the colors will change like a lava lamp or be an intense fog of whatever, usually yellow or green. The furthest I’ve gotten out of body was when I managed to get my head over the end of the bed, using the gravity to make me flop off my bed. But then I got dragged under my bed. But when I was able to stay on my bed and lift my head in the air in a different time I was catapulted into the air. My peripheral was an orange hue and it looked like I was flying in hawaii over the water. The gravity was gone and I felt pretty nice for once. I don’t think I’ve had that kind of dream ever since I succeeded. Im kind of venting right now but it’s the only time im comfortable talking about what’s in my head. I feel like I’ll be less invaded when it’s just data over the internet.

    Very insightful stuff.
    When I was younger I remember having these unreal dreams myself, but they only occurred when I was ill and in the middle of a fever. I would often get fevers whenever I caught the flu. So this was usually the time I would get these psychedelic dreams.
    Many involved some of the most bizarre visuals, I would even feel I wasn't even there but an observer. Sometimes I would even feel like I had no body and my hands would morph and feel like they were not fingers at all but silly putty. It was very disconcerting. I would see checkerboards and trippy animal motifs but they all were abstract, with some visuals almost representing a space invaders game. Abstract objects would whizz above me and gradually become quicker and quicker like the final alien in space invaders, I had this ominous feeling that if I let it reach the ground I would be done for. And lo and behold the dream would end with a thundering crash and total darkness.
    The odd part was these visuals were almost entirely the same each time I would have to sleep whilst having a fever. Luckily for me that ended after my early teens. I never liked those episodes and even dreaded going to bed when I was unwell. It felt like a roller-coaster ride that would never end. Totally disconcerting and unsettling. And I don't miss never having them since.

    Another dream I had recently involved knife wielding psychopaths living inside the walls and under the floors of my house. There were about six to eight of them, and they would come out of the walls just long enough to leer at me before dissapearing back into the house. I came into a room to find one of them dangling out of the ceiling to try and snatch my baby niece. I ran in there to try and grab him and beat the fuck out of him, but he just laughed and dissapeared back into the ceiling while somehow replacing the drywall so I couldn't follow him. They seemed to be part of some kind of cult, and they all looked dirty and disheveled like homeless people. I used a pry bar to tear up part of the floor to get to them, because the police would do nothing when I called, and I confronted them in some sort of lair they had dug under my floors. One of them attacked me with a linoleum knife. If you have never seen one of those, they are shaped like bladed hooks. It was terrifying.

    Also having vivid and bad dreams due to (I think?) my antidepressant medication. They are crystal clear, almost exactly like reality, and time passes incredibly slow.
    The weird thing about my nightmares is that there's not technically anything scary about them most of the time. A lot of the nightmares are actually somewhat mundane: family dinners, walking on the sidewalk, driving, etc. And they often weirdly seem to be based on memories of my own that I'm very nostalgic for. Even though nothing scary is usually happening in the dream, I still feel incredibly uneasy, like something is very wrong and I don't know what. Over time, this feeling of dread builds up and I start panicking or just generally feeling horrible. I cry very frequently in my dreams, sometimes so violently that I *wake up crying*
    But the worst part is, whenever I have a dream like that, I feel like I'm still in a dream for the rest of the day after I wake up. It's one of my least favorite feelings.

    This is very interesting. Thank you for sharing. Your illustrations are excellent ! Many of these experiences sound more like dimensional travel, though many people don't believe in that.
    I was intrigued by the turtle dream you mentioned. The Lenape, the Iroquois, and others believed the earth is carried on the back of a giant sea turtle. The Hindu have a myth or belief that a giant turtle supports 4 elephants that hold up the world. Interesting that you would see that as well. Best wishes to you.

    When you see those things, are you aware of the fact that they do not exist, or you realize it just when they go away? I mean, while dreaming I'm not aware that I'm dreaming until I wake up, is it the same with those things you see? Even though you see them while awake and the "real world" is around you? Can you tell those things are not real since you have seen them before? Can you still perceive the world correctly and move normally and safely? Sorry for all the questions, probably stupid questions, I admit my ignorance on the subject and I'm trying to understand and learn more. Thanks, I hope you are well.

    I recently had a dream that involved clown-like interdimensional beings somehow inserting themselves into people's bodies, posessing their minds, and altering their physical structure to allow them to bend and twist and stretch in unnatural ways. A man who was a father of a family I was having Dinner with, suddenly started convulsing and threw himself through his living room window. When we got up to see if he was okay, he stood up with a big Joker grin on his face, giggling like a mad man, and his eyes were black as night or maybe even gone. He then proceeded to grab his head and stretch his neck to like 5 feet long as his legs and arms lengthened, then he started laughing as he came through the window he had just broken to come after me.

    WOOOOWZA THIS IS INSANE
    When I was younger (Like maybe 4 to 7) I had the SAME experience EVERY MORNING without fail.
    As soon as i wake up, I would literally hear something like a bell in the distance, then I would see a green Face thing with a big eye in it (VERY similar to your first picture), the eye would open and I would get pinched on my bum, always the same place, sharp pinch.
    After years of this, I got to the point where id wake up and wait for the bell, then the eye to open (I cant say where the eye was, its like i would automatically see it wherever it was, almost like i was remote viewing it), wait for my pinch, then id start my day. That first picture is VERY similar.
    This stuff is not dreams, its real, but most people are not exposed to these things.
    I also had to deal with a man on a wolf-like creature, the wolf was spiky like its back looked like this ^^^^^^^, spiky like that, if it touched you, you would get electrocuted. Horrible it was, had that EVERY night for many years.
    Its a shame that you are taught that its your imagination, you guys are seeing things beyond the 3 dimensions for various reasons. I know my reason, i dont have any kind of mental health problem, so you dont have to have an issue with your brain to see these things. Well people can access this with DMT too.
    The eyes isnt a common theme for you, it is just what they look like. It goes without saying, if you mention the name Jesus Christ, these creatures will flee.

      I hope I didn't ruin your trip!
      I'm happy to say that my nightmares are much more rare and much less severe than at the time of making this video. My average dream is less surreal than when this video was made too, probably due to my antipsychotics.
      I can't say how alike a schizophrenic episode is to an acid trip, and I don't want to promote drugs on my channel, but I do believe that psychedelics shouldn't be thought of as temporary schizophrenia. Delusions are more of a factor in schizophrenia and visuals are less of a factor than in a psychedelic trip. And of course, schizophrenia isn't very fun or euphoric. I'll be making a video about delusions and one comparing schizophrenia to different descriptions of drugs within the next couple weeks of you are interested.

    • @20ZZ20
      @20ZZ20 6 лет назад

      I don't think the average acid trip is at all similar to schizophrenia from how you explain it, the only time I could say I've experienced something similar on drugs is when I mixed weed, alcohol, cocaine, ketamine, acid and mdma and around the house were shadow people talking to each other and socialising, and i had an intense fear that i was going to be arrested by the police in the morning
      Also, I've died a few times in my dreams before (although i don't have schizophrenia) especially from drowning, most people say it's impossible to die, but i disagree.
