    I guess this would be considered as a stupid question for seasoned users of drum plugins.
    How do I know if I am purchasing the correct product? For example, I see ad packs. I see that it is an expansion pack. However, where is the core software, where the expansion pack? I am trying to figure out on how to check a custom package. I am afraid that I select 3 adpacks, 3 midipacks, 3 kitpacks, but forget something...
    I guess if I buy an expansion pack, install it, start Ableton Live a d voila, I can start using that expansion pack. I mean it's an expansiom of "something else", right?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  4 года назад

      Hi, you'll get to pick your content for AD2 custom once you done the purchase. Once that is done, you can install your products through our Online Installer and run them through Ableton Live(you don't have to pick all content at once). When you picked all your for the starter Custom bundle content, you can always expand your AD2 set up with more sounds and beats by getting more content. If you would have any further questions about how it works, please contact our support: www.xlnaudio.com/support

      @@xlnaudio Sorry but I still can't find the answer to the question. Is there a core plugin I have to buy first? Or do I just buy the sound packs? The website does not offer to buy just the Addictive Drums 2 engine right? Does that mean you force the customer to get a bundle?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Год назад

      @@dundrowpommes651 Hi, in order to get started with AD2 you will need to get one of the AD2 Collections, this comes with AD2 content and the AD2 engine. Technically if you own content for AD2 then you will have access to the AD2 engine.

      @@lincolnmmitchell Got it! Given the amount of available knobs and sliders in Addictive Drums this would be not be a small task, but I agree that it would be very neat to be able to control AD2 from a midi controller. I will pass on your feedback to the prouct team.

      @@xlnaudio even if you just had midi learn or a limited set of features, usually it’s just a matter of wanting to adjust the balance of direct, over, and room mics, serious editing I’d be on the mouse for sure.
      But with drumsticks in hand, I’d love to be able to assign some of the basic key functions.
      I was using a touch screen monitor for a while and this was ideal - ad2 = best edrum module ever!

    "... authentic performances by outstanding session drummers" ... why??? Surely the samples are single beats (of various velocities). Sure there are loops if you really want to use them, but they still consist of single beat samples. I don't get why they need a professional drummer to record a drum being hit.

    • @xlnaudio
