Funny thing is I just watched his 1k hr review the other day...Looking at getting a cab machine myself. RUclips is an amazing resource for researching for sure!
Cab is a godsend when you get into stinging insect nests while mulching. On the dash 5, both the thumb design and the seat/ergonomics are improved and much better. LOVING my u55-5!!!
Thank you so very much for your information on this model . I am looking for one now 11-2023 and need to understand what to look for size ,weight towing etc . Appreciate your time .
So, I will ever be operating this machine or any machines for that matter. I listened to your entire presentation. Good job, you should be a salesman.👍
The thumb on my newer 57 is a different design, it seems ok. But it is all I know. In hindsight I would have ordered without a bucket/thumb and got dual auxiliaries. The AMI graptor rake looks very handy for what I do. Eyeing a Rut MFG tree slayer, but haven't loaded the money bazooka yet. You and Tim are WAY ahead of me in hours since I have a day job.
Agree on the huge value of videos like this on RUclips. From watching a LOT of them, it's clear as day how many people have gone to Takeuchi skid steers. If I was going to buy one, that's the first one I'd look at. Likewise, the Kubota and Yanmar mini excavators stand above the others. There is always the potential for bias. People are not necessarily going to post videos that make them or the equipment look bad.
Seems like using your currant thumb as a base, cutting and welding any new configuration would be pretty low cost to get the thumb you want. Also some simple sun screen/shades as seen in tractors and combines might help cool your cab without tinting glass.
Also where did you buy it. Marshalls is up in PA and they are a Awesome Dealership i know many people that go to them never had any issues in 18yrs of buying equipment and parts from them.

Love the Hat. You know if you know. Just received my KX057-5 and love it with just the few hours I have in it.
Thanks so much for this vid Davin! I’m looking at a U55-5 now and I think I’ll pull the trigger on it.
Awesome!

I just purchased a brand-new Kxo-080-4 based on info from your videos. I'm having a mulching head installed right now.
Still can’t wait to see Munchie running on the new ASV.
Something you might try to help the AC work better when it's ready hot is to just slightly tint the back and side windows
Great coverage of your expeience with the Kubota.
The arm wrests are adjustable on my kx040, there are 2, 12mm bolts underneath the arm wrest and extra holes drilled to raise them.
Good video brother and very informative
RE: not using a smaller machine for mulching - your use of the front blade as an outrigger in negative sloping areas is big help too.
Good Sunday morning, God bless you & have a wonderful day
Thanks for the video take care of yourself.

I really enjoyed your review.
Find a way to put guards on the hose-lines.

I bought it from Marshall
☕Good morning!🤗🇺🇸👍
How is the emissions? Filter or def ?
How much did you purchase your machine?
what are you charging per hour for mulching?
Can you improve the thumb? Fabricate teeth on the sides space them out from that one(?)
They have two different thumbs you can buy.
Be careful of the control switch it can move slightly towards the middle and the controls will act like there is no hyd power.
Correct about height of joysticks, doesn't feel right . Takeuchi, deere/Hitachi more comfort
Nice
You could widen that thumb with some metal work. Might not be pretty, but it would be cheapish.
When you say ford gas is yours a 7.3 or the 6.2
I can tell by the tailgate emblem it’s a 2019 or older so it’s got to be the 6.2
Very informative video too bad you didn't wash it shame on you have a great day God bless
The taco is a much better machine than Kubotas, in my opinion.
Good video brother and very informative
