Absolutely Wonderful ❤️ to see you doing something fun with your son and his friend. The imprint you're leaving in their minds and especially "Hearts" will last a lifetime. 💞
It warms my heart watching you interact with your children. We have 3 kids and spent many weekends camping or simply packing a picnic lunch and spending the day at Grand Lake fishing and swimming. It's wonderful hearing them as adults talking, laughing and telling stories of those sweet times. Cherish these moments with your babies... they will be grown too soon. I guarantee that when they are grown they ABSOLUTELY will sit around and laugh as they reminisce!
You are a great dad taking time to do this with the boys. Think we would have less problems in our world if all boys could have time to do something like this
For future reference, all the venomous snakes found in the US (with the exception of the coral snake) have a triangular/ arrowhead shaped head that is much wider than its neck, and their pupils are vertical. In your video, the snake clearly has a round skinny head and round pupils, indicating that it was non- venomous.
Long skinny tail = not a pit viper. With a venomous snake in North America (other than the coral snake), it's easy to see where the body ends and the (short) tail begins. This one, the body just gets skinnier and eventually is tail, but you can't really see where it changes, so not venomous. This appears to be a diamondback water snake.
Those boys sure are lucky to have each other and such amazing experiences. Most children are not as blessed. They will treasure these memories I’m sure! Both boys should be proud of themselves too, they are great kids!
Colby and Houston are so darn cute! Daniel you are such a great dad. Your kids will have such wonderful memories of your days at the creek! I think you are having more fun then the kids!♥️ you guys!
This brings back memories! I borrowed an old bathtub from my mom and created an Oklahoma pond aquarium for my classroom. Even found tadpoles and a bitty red eared turtle to go with the minnows. And yes, everything went back to my mom's ranch at the end of the year. We were a bit older when we homesteaded, and lived in a tin barn, but it was an amazing adventure. Keep up the great work!
Jacoby is so adorable! I chuckled at the beginning of the video because it looked like he had a wagging tail. However, the panting sound affects indicated it was actually Bella hiding behind him. What fun memories Huston and Jacoby will have from the summer of 2019.
Completely agree this was awesome, he reminded me of myself super quiet and shy , man just makes me very happy to see all different types of people together enjoying natural or anything in that matter , one thing I've learned about fishing is most everyone is very friendly and I come from a place were most people aren't, fishing community is the best
Jacoby has such a Great Smile! I can’t wait for him to break out of his shy stage! I Love all of your videos from the Everyday chores on the Homestead to the catch, clean, and cook! I especially Love the hunting, fishing, and trapping videos! You have a Beautiful Family! God Bless!
I'm from Vancouver British Columbia Canada...a HUGE city!!! What an AMAZINGLY privileged life Houston has!!!! I could only dream of a life like his!!! Wonderful channel 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Time for a crawdad boil 😁 Need to start a collection of the big ones. Water moccasins around here are very poisonous and their bite can cause tissue death. So good to see they enjoy outdoors so much. You do a great job with them Daniel and Happy Birthday! 🎂🎉
This is the Okeechobee Gardener's wife. I very much enjoyed your video about whether people believe there is a God or not. I wish there were a LOT more people that could have heard your lesson. I know that you said you were not a preacher or teacher but you did a FANTASTIC job of stating your point and explaining it very well. We applaud you for standing up for what you believe in. Last but definitely not least, thank you for your service as a state trooper. That is a much under appreciated profession. Stay safe!! We look forward to your videos.
Thank God for Mr.Ginsberg, who invented videos. In the future, when these boys have grown up and have families of their own, they can enjoy watching their beautiful memories with you, Sir! I bet, if videos were available, too, when you were just a kid, you'd spent plenty of time showing your memories with your Dad, too. Anyways, again, i loved watching this, even that engine-like sound that Bella's panting makes in the background, lol.. I really love your dogs, Sir, in fact i look forward to seeing them in your videos. Until then, take care everyone!! And thank you for sharing this!
What a joy to watch the boys, and Houston is quite the little man, reminds me a bit of watching ant hills when I was a little kid and crawdads in the creek.
When I was a kid, my brothers and I would bait our crayfish traps with a can of frozen cat food. The cheapest plain old no gravy type. Like mackerel or tuna. We froze it so when we put it in the trap, it wouldn't just fall apart and as it thawed it could come apart on it's own. It always worked great.
Houston looks so different with his hair cut. He's still as cute as ever😃 Glad you emptied the traps & not the kids. Snakes creep me out...But we love fishing with the family❤

Loved the video! ❤️ I used raw liver on a string to catch blue pinchers in a net. Sometimes a cut up hotdog. We would ride our bikes to grocery store and ask the butcher if he had any liver pieces. He would give us a little container free. Good memories
Houston love the haircut. It looks alot like mine, but mine is shorter on top. Good to see you getting the minnows out of the creek. Just make sure that the PVC pipe isn't off gassing in the water.
I did alot of fishing with my dad. We fished the ocean of Southern California. My sister lives in Oklahoma but, never met her. I would love to visit y'all soon. Huston you are an amazing kid. Love ya dude.

That was a plain belly water snake or a banded water snake not 100% sure which one but it was 💯% not venomous. Lol they will draw some blood if they bite you though. At 9:29 it looks like it has round pupils. Cottonmouth have slit pupils. Could have cut the snake into chunks to put in the traps for crawdad bait. Waste not want not.
Exactly, cottonmouths in Oklahoma are mostly Western Water Moccasins and they are typically short and fat. I saw one that measured 16 inches in circumference at a neighbor's 3 acre pond and it was less than 5 feet long. I watched him dig up the pond and down by the dam it's 20 feet deep. He dug some channels across it and built a Gazebo out in 6 feet of water before it filled up. It was fed by a natural spring that old timers said had never run dry. It had a low flow of water though, but a 10 inches of rain in two days set of storms filled it up in two days. Since I was a bio/engineer he asked me about how best to stock it. We checked with the Oklahoma wildlife folks and they said any legal non-invasive species that we caught could go into it. The 2nd year after it filled up (only 3 months after its construction) water moccasins became a major problem because of the bull frogs that had moved in and he had to forbid kids from fishing. He had his whole property fenced, but if you had the common courtesy to ask him he'd let you fish there, but you couldn't keep bass or big crappie. Besides its slit eyes cottonmouths have blocky triangular heads and note its olive, dark tan, dark brown or an almost black body and having different colors it is hard to identify them just by color, but the head and eyes are your main indicators and that super thick middle. We rooted them out of there before someone got bit and also his wife was freaked out about them. I shot that one that measured 16 inches around its middle, huge freaking snake. Luckily a neighbor loved frog gigging and he reduced the frog population down to normal and I even tried frog legs, bit too fishy weird taste for me.
Those were some good sized crawfish!! That snake was a surprise in the trap! The catfish and that crawfish were going at it!! Awesome video looks like a great time!!

Snakes arnt poisonous they are venomous the difference is if you eat it and you die its poisonous if it bites you or stings you and you die its venomous
@@scottfielden6399 when i worked at Madison blue spring state park my boss explained this to me the first day because there were some baby coral snakes in the confederate jasmine. I thought she was being annoying but to this day you won't hear me say a rattlesnake is poisonous, its venomous, and yes it's a pretty big difference
Where I mean from water Mocisons and cotton mouths are the same thing And the venomous because the inject the venue and poison is by touching or consuming somthing
I think it is awesome how you are raising your kids and being such an active part of their lives.
Cute little boys. Am glad they’re friends. A friendship like that will last a lifetime.
Fishing at my pond this morning with my daughter, we relate to u guys in so many ways we thank u for being so family oriented

When I was a kid, we used to go down to my uncle’s cabin. There was a Creek and we caught crawdads with our hands.
That snake did look like a Cottonmouth. They are very aggressive. Great video. Looks like the boys had a great time.
God Blees Y'all.
WOW 😮!!! You never know what the creek is going to give you. 👍
Big snake but I'm in Australia got bad ones that sometimes chases me

@@ximenacharlicetee4155 gonna cry over it
What a magical life you all have!!
Great opportunity to teach the kids that dead snakes can still bite & be poisonous. Ie muscle movement or it they got pricked by one of the fangs.
But they're so precious
Snakes arnt poisonous they are venomous the difference is if you eat it and you die its poisonous if it bites you or stings you and you die its venomous
@@scottfielden6399 when i worked at Madison blue spring state park my boss explained this to me the first day because there were some baby coral snakes in the confederate jasmine. I thought she was being annoying but to this day you won't hear me say a rattlesnake is poisonous, its venomous, and yes it's a pretty big difference
Scott Fielden
And the babies are just as venomous as the big ones? Only difference is the big ones have more venom?
Ugh! Gross that snake gave me the Willie's!!!
Love the hair cut. Enjoy they grow up so fast. City kids do not know what they are missing.
Where I mean from water Mocisons and cotton mouths are the same thing
And the venomous because the inject the venue and poison is by touching or consuming somthing
savagebrad 2 in upstate ny we have tons of water snakes, but they aren’t poisonous
