Thanks a lot for this guide. I got baited by Zizaran and Carn's ''Slam Slayer'' that ended up falling apart as soon as it hit tier 16 maps, so I'm finally having fun again with your build. Also Indigon being dirt cheap this league just sped up the process a whole lot.

For anyone with mana issues, essence sap on amulet with high phys mjölner, lowered lightning warp to lvl 16 worked for me.
why do we need phys dmg on mjolner?

@@jessethornhill8934 I found a damage link (added lightning, or lightning pen, need to PoB it) on cyclone and a min roll Indigon works okayish. It just can't do -recovery, no leech, and no regen lmao. I was able to average like 1400 mana/s in costs and leech + regen 2300/s in perfect scenarios. Suffice to say it was a great day 1-3 build because you burst map bosses so my atlas was done really quick but I'm swapping to molten strike because I wanna give melee a try.
Thank god my 3 man dropped a mageblood day 3 because group play was ass. Re rolled into pre mageblood for about 100 divines. Going great so far! Really only have some mana sustain issues on ST but I’ll get that sorted I’m sure.
how did you cap the res when flasks are no up? slowy transitioning to that verison, just equiped squire and 2 split personalities and resists are ass
@@TheSnowKK need all jewel sockets with +10 all res so like level 100. You won’t die even without capped res if mapping cause flasks will always be up and so tanky anyways
@@subtlefps will try to upgrade my guear, meanwhile i put purity of elements eternal blessing instead of grace, the damage spikes whenever the flasks were down were a pain to mantain exp

How would it compare to molten strike of the zenith warden? I feel like MS is like the best skill to abuse the scorch and shock warden nodes because it hits a lot of times for the shock but also has big hits every 5 attacks for good scorches

tbh i think to call this a .25 build guide people would prefer to see it in either like day 2 gear or somewhere early week one. most people seems to have issues at the very start with bad accessories and stuff. id also recommend some good money making that the build will excel at, but yeah aim it at getting people into the build not showcasing

if you're looking for basics, this is not the build for you. mana stacking is anything but basic, it can get very complicated. it's good that the guide is very vague, if you can't put it together yourself from the provided resources, you shouldn't play it, you'll have a bad time.

Just wanna say this build is insane and cheap! I rolled it as my third build this league and everything expect MB was under 100 divines.
I’m wondering if anyone has had luck scaling the map clear. Because the build is so unique heavy, I can’t think of changing any items or flasks.

Build looks sweet, but as someone who only plays like every 3rd or 4th league is kind of intimidating starting from no prior experience with it.
Is this something you can muddle through and figure out over time or am I going to get buried not knowing the mechanics of the build from the jump?
test it now so you are prepared for league. to get started is hard, once you got key items like chest, mjolner, shield and helmet, things start to improve drastically

its been absolutely great this league too - im having a bit of issues with mana sustain, however this is more a skill issue on my part, but itl take me to 40/40 no issues

is the build complicated for an ok tier player? compared to the ice nova of frost bolt build, is it more complicated to set up? more expensive? is it less risky to go with ice noa of frostbolt which i did well last season? i'm very interested in your build but i'm afraid you need too high a level of understanding of the game to make it work?
+1 on rude awakenings for the melee colonizers. Losing flat damage can be either not a big deal or a HUGE deal just depending on the setup the skill likes to run. I think we're gonna see a lot of darkness enthroned recommended just to put quadruple-flat jewels in there

Trying to move to the crit version but for some reason Increased Critical Damage doesn't increase the damage. I have around 75% crit chance at this point but w/o multiplier that's useless. I wonder if that's a bug in PoB of I messed something up.
Remove Elemental Overload from the passive tree and it will count your crit multiplier :)

Im slightly more skeptical with regards to cyclone being able to compensate for the battlemages cry, but lets not forget that Essence Sap still exists as an annoint. Losing 500 es 500 mana isn't the end of the world, and in conjunction that will most definitely make up the difference.
You're gaining a TON of base dmg from the quality change to weapons on mjolnir too
That is largely irrelevant though, as the biggest source of cyclone damage comes from arcane cloak.

Spells do not leech mana, this is why the discussion of cyclones damage is relevant in the first place bruh.
@@MWaever weird fact about this build; it struggles super hard in 100% delirium because cyclone does so little damage with their deli damage reduction. You can usually pop cloak and still kill the pack but it’s really hard to get back up to full mana because even with multi target and battle mages cry (now defunct) you just aren’t doing enough pdps for effective leech lol

I leaguestarted Inquis Tornados and like it for the most part but feeling squishy for endgame shenanigans. I'm wondering if I should switch to this so I won't have to re-level. Seems a 6L chest and squire are only like 3-4div combined this league and everything else is under 10c, though I didn't search too hard on the trade site. Thoughts?
Hello legend! What do you think about int stack whispering ice build? Is it something similar def/DMG scaling-wise to your zenith and manastack builds?
As a starter, it's good to follow Phoenix's Arc Heiro and then swap over from there. There's not much necessary on the respec either. I've found that to be a pretty easy route.

This build sometimes employs the call to arms and battle mage cry, but that should have been rendered useless in 3.25.
What does dread banner do? And Battlemage's cry? Struggling to understand the interaction from the gems description for this build...
so more duration on the cloak is actually bad right since we need as much mana spending within last 4 seconds? if i dont stop cycloning, will it keep going up or only take into consideration the last 4 seconds worth of mana spent? if i got cloak on auto and it drops at 20%, does my damage drop to nothing? how to i leech to full mana on a boss?

I started Rolling Magma -> Arma brand (10 refunds) and after second lab (AoE ascendancy) i went into BV, it was preety strong, so strong that withdraw any expensive items i could do maps to tier 10 withdraw any problems, ontho on higher tiers jumping into pack of monsters to deal dmg was a bit annoing.
I wonder if an Archmage fire Mjolner will be viable with the new 1h axe craft. Suffix gem links like crit/crit-dmg would work, but 1h axe prefixes are kinda bad. Maybe some 8-9L Archmage Firestorm w/ Squire.
I thought so as well, but as other people reminded me, The problem is that it doesnt include the spell being free which rules out archmage.

Hey Conner, all this talk, several videos on the Mjo build and you haven't cover the most important aspect of it? Namely, what are the mtx's you are using (armor, helmet etc.)? How else do you expect us to play it and have fun with it, we can't play the chars that look as $hit, so the list of mtx's if you please :-)?
I played this build in 3.24, and it was really good, but that was my 2nd buiild of the league, not sure how easy it is to league start this?

Work on its cooldown, use eldritch orb on boots for the cd recovery for travel skills and go +20q on gems

Beware if you're a noob... this build is not bait but the progression is not like other league starts. Look up Asmodeus's 3.25 templar leveling guide. I'm basically taking that, making almost no tweaks, and then respeccing in early maps. I would also reference Conner's 3.23 1-90 "leveling guide" mainly because he talks in more detail about how he prioritizes jewels and rings as his first upgrades and also what mods are valuable. You're gonna have to frankenstein together information and yolo the league start. I'm league starting this for the first time and I'm going in expecting progress to be slow in early maps and that I won't have what he calls "day 2-3" gear until part way through the first week or the 2nd weekend.

How relevant are the nerfs to determination and grace to the build?
you lose a bunch of armor and evade lul; like 5-7%, it sucks honestly both of your defensive layers basically lose that much off the top. You go from potentially being evade capped and 90% Phys mit to, less than that and its just a straight up nerf
Any tips to have a smooth start? I'm a 2k hour player with intermediate ish game knowledge and usually do safer league starts with handholdy guides. I've been eyeing thisbuild for 3 leagues now and I think I'm gonna finally bite the bullet and league start it.
What worries me is people talking about 1) Conner's tendency to underestimate the price of items in a leaguestart situation and 2) not having the game knowledge to bring it together in a way that works. I think I generally understand the concept... stack mana, use arcane cloak and archmage support for a proportional buff based on mana spent.
However I don't quite understand how the defensive layers work. I assume we hide behind a big mana pool using MoM, but other than that I didn't see what else we were using. In the early maps BV set up he's only using Wrather or Determination depending on the situation. Are we armour then? More mana? In this setup he has many, many unused gem sockets and I can't help but wonder something can be added there. I understand mana res auras would massively gimp our damage, but surely some kind of DPS buff, curse or mark would fit.
I know Conner doesn't make hand holding guides and we've just got to piece together the final details ourself, but something in my gut says I can do it this league. I just don't know what info to focus or where to get it, I was hoping Conner had a Discord but if he does I couldn't find a link to it.
I just put a lvl 68 version of the BV setup and am going to be testing it out in Standard over the next few days before league start.
Any general advice would be appreciated!

Your defensive layers are your ES, evasion, mana, and endurance charges. You can feel a bit squishy to start with, but it’s honestly not that bad, and you kind of scale your damage and tankiness simultaneously with shapers touch.
@@alex7435 Got to the point where I transitioned from Novabolt archmage to mjolner and I immediately felt much squishier than Ziz's guide I was following. Probably due top the cyclone playstyle rather than casting from a distance. Very new to this build and am trying to figure out ways to increase the tannkinessin meaningful ways. A little bit of evasion with a jade flask helped. I currently opt to not use a quicksilver to use an amethyst, maybe I should try a stibnite in its place instead.
@@angelo2268 you can always spec into instant leech on your passive tree, it’s around 4-6 points but it can make your build feel better until you’ve got enough mana and ES to not need it. Hard to say without a PoB though.

@@vanechi Kind of. Mostly I crammed some evasion on a belt with the bench craft, put in a jade flask and use elemental res flasks. The biggest issue with the build is boss fights that don't end immediately. Unfortunately mana sustain isn't feeling too great -- I'm hoping to fix that by getting more dex on my jewels to squeeze in some levels of the mana leech jewel.
I think getting a watcher's eye with clarity energy shield mod will help a lot once I save up some currency. I'm not entirely sure how to continue improving defenses of this build -- other than continuing to cram more nad more intelligence into the build. I did get a int/mana split persnality and work that into the build which did help a bit by just giving me a higher health pool.
I'm still not capped in resistances hence the flasks. There's just not a lot of room to fit them in. Every piece of gear, including the jewels, are starved for affixes. Ele flasks help a lot and with 3 charges on hit affix they're basically permanently on during maps. It's just prolonged boss fights that get hard. You gotta back off to let mana regen and if you get hit, the no flask charges left can really screw you if it's a big ele attack. This hasn't been a huge problem yet, but eventually I want to delve and I have no idea how I'll fight Aul or even the architect with where the build is now.
It's possible though, we just gotta ffigure it out. If you have insights I'd love to know hear it lol.
edit: I should also add that, generally, t16s are not a problem at all. When you start juicing though, you can just pop.
How do you keep up charges on coruscating elixir on single fight?
Get more damage lol.
In seriousness you only need the flask up if your mana is low and you’re in danger of taking chaos damage. So if the boss does chaos damage and you’re low on mana (and not close to killing it) just stop cycloning, chill a bit and let your indigon stacks wear off so you can start cycloning without losing all your mana.
If the boss doesn’t do chaos damage don’t even worry about it (unless the flask is what’s capping your fire res, which it really shouldn’t be, capping res with flasks is for mageblood users only.)

The amulet is annoint with primal spirit and not call to arms :c

@@sikssilver9698 also auto exertion does not work with eternal blessing anymore. So you would need to cast the warcry manually. I highly recommend enduring cry over battle mage as you'll get more survivability, i also recommend to link it with urgent orders to make it cast faster.
Same as eveyone else, i'm already using indigon and can't sustain mana / damage on bosses, build is bricked in 1v1 scenarios
The mana leech is based on the raw damage done by the cyclone and not the spells cast by Mjolnir. You have a couple of options to fix the mana sustain, going from best to worst:
1. Use a Foreboding Eternal Mana Flask at 20% quality. At 10k mana it will give you back half of what Arcane Cloak uses.
1a. The mana flask queues the effect up to 5 times, so you don't have to wait the full 8 seconds before you use it again. I use it every 3-4 seconds and get the mana restore 8.4 seconds after each use, 3-4 seconds apart.
2. Get a Coruscating Elixir 20% quality and instill it with "Use on Guard Skill" to protect yourself from chaos damage when your mana gets low.
3. Make sure Mjolnir is 20% quality
4. Get a Mjolnir with as close to "100% increased physical damage" as you can
5. Get an Indigon with the lowest mana cost increase you can, 50%
6. Make sure Mana Leech is level 20 quality 20%
7. Hard cast Battlemages Cry for a big cyclone damage increase (Autoexertion can automate this at the cost of a lot of damage from lost mana)
7. You can add flat elemental damage to attacks on your rings for a slight increase in cyclone damage
8. You can skip an Arcane Cloak cycle to restore your mana then recast
9. Worst case you can replace Lightning Penetration with Mana Leech on Mjolnir, but you will lose a more multiplier.

7. -> battlemage cry was reworked it doesn't work like that anymore it doesn't increase cyclone dps that much now.
9. -> Mana leech only works for "attacks" our spells will never leech to us.
What i did that actually did help slightly:
1. replace jade flask with amethyst flask for better uptime against enemies that deal chaos damage.
2. replace move speed flask with Lavianga's Spirit flask for mana regen.
3. lethal price that also had 20% increased melee damage (rage 30% more damage would be better, but more expensive).
I will be treating the build only as a map farming speed demon, not realliable for bosses until you get damage to oneshot them easly

I cant do t17s. Sitting on 30m dps / 0% chaos res / all ele 75% / 15k ES / 15k mana, 180 div invested so far.

@@jessethornhill8934 you mean arcane cloak not battle mage cry? you need coruscating elixer flask so you won't die when you reach 0 mana. Also you need to have indigon before you transition to using arcane cloak
If you can sneak mana on hit in somewhere, problem solved. 'Improvise' on a max mana small cluster jewel works. Opportunity cost, but...convenience.

@@MAytacTan no last league I bought the base for like 30 div and the crafting process was like 5-15 d depending on luck.
There are also crafting tutorials on this channel, and crafting is a essential part of the game. If you don't want to craft it is your fault and ALL builds get more expensive.
I guess I'm missing something, but why is there +max life on everything when we're going LL/ES?
The Ivory Tower "+30 to maximum Energy Shield per 100 Reserved Life" is the reason. This gives pretty big increase in total ES when we use auras.

go to pob where you see all the numbers, then there on the left side you'll see a section that regards triggering rate, there are numbers of ICDR you need to hit the next breakpoint.
Tldr: max 3.79 Aps with 0 cdr, 4.33 Aps max with at least 9% cdr.

Pantheon varies based on what you need at the current state of your build. Brine King if you need freeze/stun immunity, Lunaris if you dont for mapping or Solaris for Bossing. Garukhan for reduced shock effect, Shakari for less chaos damage taken, Gruthkul for more physical tankiness, and Ralakesh if you don't have corrupted blood immunity.
Is manaforged no longer viable for 3.25 ?
Battlemages Cry got knee capped so it lost 80% of the damage. It can probably still break 100 million dps but that's at multiple mirrors and not really worth it.
so why not play manaforged arrows then? i dont understand why even bother with this if you can just go MFA? I have to honestly say, I dont exactly understand all of the mechanics yet where exactly the damage comes from, and even though connor has some vids explaining bits and pieces, there is no video that explains the damage sources and things to pay attention to. so i played manabond mjolner and MFA, but my MFA was very much lacking, though i got my manabond quite up there.
you can't league start manforged arrows cuz the bow needed for it to work is expensive. So u league start mjolner and transition to manaforged later on when u got some currency. also the big damage comes from the huge multipliers from archmage, indigon, and arcane cloak, along with stacking as much str, int, and mana as you can get your hands on.
Because all your damage comes from battlemage cry and weapon swap, which does not work anymore. My MFA this league goes from 4 billion dps to 450 mill without cry.

How can i get almost 20k ES and mana?
Very late game when you can get the right jewelry, rare jewels, 2x Split Personality unique jewels, and closer to 2000 intelligence. Only the last iteration of the build, the "Omega endgame PoB" in the description, breaks 20k ES/Mana
Does the attack speed for cyclone matter much?
Yes, significantly due to having to synchronize your attacks with the server ticks. Tldr is that with no cooldown reduction 3.79 attacks per second is maximum before your dps decreases, and with 9% cooldown (precisely)its 4.33. the default cyvlone attack speed with mjolner is 3.45 which is a little rough, so do try to get as close to 3.79 as you realistically can without sacrificing too much to do so.

That would certainly by one way to do it. Very expensive though. I usually do 1-2 rare jewels with attack speed instead of str/int. There are also synth implicits for adorned setups. There is even +1 minimum frenzy charge suffix on rings if you are desperat.

How many div for this build ?
i spent arround 10 div for my build. doing t16s now, i still die in some maps but im lvl 87, and been doing t16 since 75. sweet spot on the build is arround 120div.
Agreed with Eric, everything for 120div is super doable. However, I would suggest getting cheap rare gear and saving for MB. It helps a lot with resistances and overall QOL (stating the obvious)
its exactly the 3.24 build guide... but my char teleports nion controllable all the time around... you are sure, that you use Lightning Warp in your Videosetup ? Cant controll these teleports every second....
The lightning warp will feel clunky at first because the cast rate and cast speed are low. When you get your Cast While Channeling gem to level 20 and your Less Duration Support to 20/20 it will feel so smooth it's almost like your not teleporting at all. Also keep your mouse relatively close to your character for more control and further away for more speed with less control. Also, if you followed the BV early mapping build there were increased skill duration nodes that slow down lightning warp and you need to make sure to get rid of them.

Looks like you are using tattoos for additional mana. Will they Even exist next league, that will be a huge loss of mana.
I got 1080P..... I only got 2 Divines this current league, sooo..... What do you reckon for a very limited budget which is also probably low chaos cost ?? What build / setup ??? Cause some of us never make it to bosses or kill them ! Never made it past that wall plus don't craft, lack of assets.
Deadeye builds tend to perform the best on low budgets imo. I had fun with elemental hit of the spectrum last league when i wasn't spelunking with mjolner. in reality tho 2 divines isnt gonna get u much, maybe u want to figure out a better currency strategy too?
2 divs the entire league? That's rough. Either you played like 10 hours or you are lacking some understanding of the game.
I'd recommend you do chaos recipe until you can at least clear T16s :)

Its just a shorter way of saying other options will work better assuming equal investment.. In the context of the build he is discussing it is effectively removed
I mean he explained it in the other video that due to how breakpoints work it's much more than 33% nerf..
In the case of 1% attributes its an infinite nerf since getting 100% mult adorned is almost impossible now

Not to mention that adorned only really starts to beat the classic setup of dual split personality, healthy mind etc once you get a 130+ adorned and atleast 6 jewels with 1-2 synth and corrupt implicits, and costs 10 times more. Would i consider a 100% adorned? Maybe, at the veeery endgame, but it is unlikely. On the flip side, no more getting trapped in Einhar-hell for hours at a time!
Did you consider doing similar breakdown for zenith build? I believe you told it's either jugg or champ (or smth), so I was wondering if we could get some way to not create several characters for the league :)
