- In this video Neha talks about the difficulty level of the Kuari Pass Trek.
Kuari Pass is categorized as an easy-moderate trek, more towards the moderate side. The trail climbs to an altitude of 5,500-6,000 ft within 3 days. The ascent is gradual and steady. Of course, there are certain steep sections spread out, but when well-prepared are easy to tackle. Also every day of the trek, you climb for a maximum of 4 hours (except on the summit day which in general tends to be longer). The trek reaches a maximum altitude of 12,500 ft. So it is no surprise that Kuari Pass is well-suited for beginners and trekkers who are looking to not do a demanding trek.
However, there are tricky sections to be aware of. Neha explains what the 3 tricky sections are so you can be cautious during these parts of the trail.

How can we register?
I done kuari pass in nov and it's right that you gain altitude very fast.
Was there snow?!

Tell us about the temperatures so.that we can bring our cameras or not
My Tip: No matter the temperature, get gloves you can use touch screen with.
Having said that, temperatures depend on the season you are going in Gaurav. It is usually warmer in the mornings when you trek (1 tshirt and 1 fleece sweater) and temperatures drop when the sun sets. So you will need to layer up well to comfortably tackle the cold.

I would like to go kaurai pass this December ls it good to plan at December
Kuari Pass is a wonderful trek to do in December. It makes for a really good winter experience in snow. You'll find all the details about the trek here - indiahikes.com/kuari-pass/
For an absolute beginner (first timer), which trek would be better to do in December? Kedarkantha or Kuari Pass?
Kuari Pass
I wanted to ask is April a good time to visit Kuari pass ?
April is one of the most beautiful months to visit Kuari Pass. It's spring time and you'll see lots of greenery and birds. You're likely to see some snow as well in the upper reaches of the trek.
1. Will we see snow throughout the trek if we start on 19th December? Or is that too soon?
2. Is January 8th going to be too much snow to start Kuari pass trek. Thanks
The answer to your question completely depends on when the winter comes in this year. It usually starts by second week of December, so you're likely to see snow throughout the trail even by December 19th. But if you want to see a high amount of snow, January is the better option. You'll be able to do the trek even in that snow (unless there's a weather anomaly like a snowstorm or so).

Can we go kuari pass in January
You can, it's slightly tough with a lot of snow. But if yes, you can do this trek in winter. The earlier in January, the better. Avoid going too late in Jan, unless you have a good technical team with you.
@@Indiahikes thanks, and your videos is very informative
How's the trek ?
Is mid May a good time for this Trek? What to expect?
Hi Arpita, yes. You can go for this trek in May. You will get to experience greener meadows and the forests coming alive. The comfortable temperature during this time makes the trek easier compared to other seasons.

@@Indiahikes okay. Thanks for the information 🙂
Hi!!
Do we get snow on the trail or at any campsite during end of April month??
Hi Rahul
Though it is spring season in April, you usually get the last of the winter snow, especially beyond the upper altitudes of the trek.
@@Indiahikes Thank you 😊
