Perfect song to play for a drummer. Props. This song shows Akane's chops off perfectly. She is the worlds happiest drummer. Love when you show people Band Maid.
Just be course there is a drum solo, it does not show what Akane can do. In fact, the whole song Freedom, including the drum solo is a more like a break for her. It's so straight forward. She does 10 time as much impressing stuff supporting the rest of the band in most other songs.

@@nussekuddenxxx6564 I agree with both you and @kevenbridges9433. She does amazing things in many songs, but this song is good for someone completely new to the band. It's easy for the band, they play it almost every show, and Akane's solo has a theme (the bass drum 1 & 2 & motif) which drummers will catch very quickly (but not something a lot drummers would do). But if you want your socks blown off, the "Manners/Black Hole" combo is more impressive. But leave the sweets until after the entree!
I am confused. Are you mad at me for suggesting that its a good solo or are you saying Akane's solo in Freedom is no good. I have been a fan of Akane for 10 years now. My comment was meant as a compliment to her. What is her best playing and what is not is a matter of personal taste. I respect your opinion about what you think is her best or Band Maids best. The Maids performing one of their (two) most performed songs: Freedom and Real Existence. But the Maids in this MV are pure perfection, aren't they? I mean, what can you fault? And those faces... their attitude... their music... their playing... their story... and their joy! Band-Maid is a world treasure, imo! You still can if you get a ticket, the extended VOD is still up until December 26th. I believe it will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD at a later date but I'm not 100% possitive on that.

If you are looking into Japanese female drummers, you should check out Miki Tsunoda. She is the drummer for Show-ya, the longest together female rock group in the history of rock & roll.
Miki should be treated like the queen of rock drumming, but she, just like her group is highly underrated.
The music industry made millions off of them and their concerts when they toured the US, but the record labels snubbed them because they were asian and never once promoted any of their albums. They would pack the house with their performances and got very little in return.

By the way, in case you were wondering, Yoyoka Soma is on the same top 500 drummer list of which she is one of the 13 females to be on that list.
Lastly, here is a video of Yoyoka doing a cover of another female drummer on that list. Ironically, Karen Carpenter did not do her own studio work. The drum tracks to her songs were laid down by the late, great, Hal Blaine.
Only by watching this video can you understand just how talented Yoyka Soma is.

Actually Akane's drumming and solo in Freedom is nowhere near complex compared to other recent songs.
Hope he gets to see her drumming in Geovanni or Blackhole.

Let me point out that that dead cat apple could be any of those 3, or more. Or Akane. Multiple drummer's is even possible.

Or Kanade Sato, Murata Tamu, ... There are a lot of great female Japanese drummers that are worth checking out. And males as well, Mio from Asterism and Fumiya of Unlucky Morpheus are 2 that come to mind.

Love what you do love your reactions love this amazing band. Tired of hearing from the same windbags over and over on every RUclips reaction video. None of these clowns ever give it a rest at least once. The worst thing about this group is stomaching the fans. Because many of them think they are just as important as the group itself. Listen how they pontificate and go on and on about themselves and each other. Barf bag is in order ! Everybody's a legend in their own mind ! Keep up the good work.
The maids are the only musical group. I'm aware of that where gimmick outfits because they enjoy it and that's the only reason because of when you take the outfits off. It doesn't matter. You strip it down. They are world class if it was a 17th century, maybe the 1600s they'll be hanging out with Beethoven and Mozart box. I mean they'll be running those circles. It's just modern times
