Steve fascinates me he is articulate and eloquent how he talks of his time in music he is so talented and doesn’t show off thanks for this interview ❤️
I love him as an artist. His talent is phenomenal. What I love the most is his truth.
I like how Nils Lofgren is a thousand times better
@timeskew6197 hes a liberal jagoff lol
Him and 💩steen wouldn’t know the truth if it fell out of the sky and pinned them down...! Their greatest attributes are perpetuating propaganda to people too stupid or lazy to research and find out most of their spew is lies!
Badlands, rosalita, im going down, thunder road. The stuff they did in the 70s will never be repeated.
Boring
A great guy in Bruce's band. And a good actor. He brings energy.
love the e street band, thay all seem like very down to earth friendly people, kinda people u be happy to have as naibours, yet thay have rocked the world at the same time.bless every one of them, im glad thay all found each other for them and for all of us. finding good souls in this world is far from a given in life.
You’re a gem Steve. Keep on keepin on.🎶🎶
Steve is an incredible talent.
I'm in Marietta Steve Florida from Sarasota love you man you're the bad ass!!
Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in!!!
Lol
@@saifonlawrence2044 😉
St Anthony always comes through ❤️ First time I ever seen Steve outside the band lovely interesting guy
Michael Carton, how are you? Your grandma told us she used to make Steve and Bruce peanut butter and banana sandwiches in New Jersey
What you've never watched the Sopranos?
@@KarenMarrone-rw4bv hi Karen think you have the wrong Michael lol I'm in Ireland ☺️
@@davidmellish3295 yes I have watched The Sopranos 🤣
@@michaelcarton278 then how is this the first time you're seeing him outside the band as you've seen him in the Sopranos before?
What a talent!!! Musically!! His portrayal of a gangster as well should be documented as the goat!!!
He wasn't acting
loved him in Lillehammer
Yes Lillyhammer is truley a great series!
Oh that was brilliant 👍
Great interview.. Steven is an outstanding guitar player and writer...🤘🤘🎸✌️❤️
👍✌️❤️
🎸🤘✌️♥️
'When the greatest art being made was also the most commercial'. That´s certainly rare in modern history. Beatles really changed music and some of the bands that came right after them (Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc.) were awesome.
Wise words about greatness being popular
I remember the early 70s to the 80s. what a great time to be alive and experience good music.
What good music most of the so called good music is satanic
Little Steven is the coolest! Sitting backwards in a chair during one-on-one interviews and always sporting a fashionable bandana.
Excellent musician
Great musician!! Saw him last weekend in munich playin‘ with the Boss🤩🤩🎸
I love his style too👍
I heard Munich was 🔥🔥🔥🔥!! I’m seeing them in New Jersey U.S. in August.
Munich was great 😊
All I can say is...get his autobiography on audible or whatever. To hear him read his own words is just fantastic and it's a thoroughly enjoyable book. I wasn't sure who I wanted to see most on their current tour, Bruce or Stevie. Both brilliant.
Steven is always in style
Bruce was supremely focused and disciplined on becoming a musical artist, player and a songwriter. I've heard Van Zandt say another time he does not recall Bruce ever taking a non music job. I think perhaps the most dominant quality Bruce has had throughout his life is to be supremely focused on what he wanted -- a dog who would not let go of a bone. He said in a bio that when he taught himself guitar, (I wanna say starting at 14?), he'd shut himself in his room with his guitar and some 45s and work at teaching himself to play from 6 hours to as many as 10 hours per day, for days at a time.
the E-Street Band are a team with Bruce Springsteen
Stevie is great and the whole band is a part of it
Respect for everyone, you are wonderful
Im Loving this!!
St. Anthony, as well St. Agnes, is prayed to find again lost things/items.
Sambiase, a fraction/hamlet in Lamezia Terme(Lamezia Springs)
Loved Freedom, no compromise album in the 80s
Always a great interview. Articulate , insightful and so observant
GREAT COMMENTS. THANK YOU, SIR VANZANDT!!!
I really enjoyed watching and listening to this interview. Nice job!
Talento..admiração por esse grande artista.
Absolute Legend! Love you Steve!
Great musician and actor! Such a talent and integrity in intellectual personality
He was not acting in the sopranos
@miakhalifaworldofficial Be careful, ya might catch crabs or the internet equivalent (trojan virus) 😂😂 Yes, I'm talking about YOU "MiaKhalifa" 😅😂
Steve always cracks me up when hes on stage laughing at Bruce.
Love Steve love Bruce love the EEEEEEE Street BAND !
Love The Shirt 👍
Was saying to my son the other day [after attending concert at Villa park] I know you have your music, mostly gaming inspired, but I don't see any artists today that will have a similar following when they reach my age [he loves music from 70's/80's he is 22].
Love Little Steven.
True Legend! and Calabrian...bonus
My 1st recollection of SVZ was at Mandela Day at Wembley in 1988 when he joined Simple Minds live onstage and blurted out the United Artists Against Apartheid track - fantastic presence on stage that day and that performance has been typical of Steve ever since in moreorless everything he has done.
Bravissimo steve
greatness was popular. nice.
The man behind the amazing Radio station the underground garage
great man. glad to hear that his religion is still rock n roll
Wonderful charismatic funny guy! 😊👍
Class. 👍👍👍
Bruce is another Italian kid with a Dutch last name.
Steve said something about rock’n’roll that I always noticed about the Beatles: They were the best, the most avant-garde, and the most popular at the same time. As he says, that’s really, really rare.
But Bruce is part Dutch (also part Irish), whereas SVZ is not.
@@debpotter129 he's mostly Italian, though; his mother's maiden name was Zirili. That whole side was Italian, while his dad had Irish and Dutch.
That’s my godfather. I am so proud of him.
Your godfather is Silvio Dante?
Love SVZ. But could have mentioned this was 6 years ago. Steven Van Zandt

ele toca muito uau abraços pra ele Deus abençoe sou fã mesmo de Bruce também os dois são maravilhosos
This has to be a re-post of an interview from before this year because Stevie is way back down to his early days playing weight on tour this year, and this interview is Stevie before that.

Super LittleSteven❤
The Beatles on Ed Sullivan got him started into rock and roll why am I not surprised
Sylvio!!
Those two misfits have managed to scratch out a living playing rock and roll.
🙏
Many thanks. What makes him and Springsteen so articulate? Not exactly a given among rock types.
Que lastima que no se pueda traducir al español, es que en latinoamerica tambien nos interesa
I've just done it! You press the translate button.
Silvio!
Johnny Henriksen!!
💜
I love Steve, saw him live twice lucky enough but why is he sitting towards the back of the chair
To hide his gut!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I would buy this guy a pint.
Ahh his family is from Calabria, that makes sense how Silvio had his sudden outbursts.
You know?
Im maket you Bruce and im maket you youre a wonderful Pepple so we Bruce❤❤❤❤❤😂
Jesus I still think of him as sil man
Im waere notds in the U SA this its a to great coüntry and im have nots many a little many have awounderful day ❤❤❤❤ and this send Waltraut ftom.Germany❤😢😮
It was possible then....now I don't know...still writing and playing without traction. You gotta be a freak now...writers not welcome. Sad. I'll never forget getting off the greyhound at the Freehold junction though....under a drizzled sky...thinking it was perfect...only because that's where Bruce was born....it was a mecca. From there hitchhiker to Philly the next morning.
I'm 71 grew up with rock and always loved the rebel/question authority aspect, felt it was important for society. I have to say it breaks my heart to see Springsteen, N Young, Joni, Dylan all doing and saying exactly the opposite of what Seeger, Guthrie, and our old-timey REAL heroes would be saying now.
WTF happened, too rich, too much pure unadulterated echo chamber, what?
It is so obvious our media, our schools, our gov't has been completely taken over gutted from the inside, and what do we hear from our rock and rollers we have lover forever? Crickets or even worse.
Thankfully we have Sound of Freedom and Jason Aldean; but I guess bruce et al are busy counting their millions.
I'm not far behind you age wise lol, Pad.
Interesting comment you have there, well here is
how I see it. # I don't know, care, etc, anything about
Jason, other than he is Country, todays Country , which
was take over/coopted by pop, a several years ago.
Jason's new song; 'Try that...' is a good song, a great song,
and political on top, which is a rare combination,
a song that actually works.
Again, a good/great song.
NONE of our heroes from the 80's, following the era,
are / were
able to write anything that measured up to their old
level of writing, NONE...
ZZ Top, came out with something
recently , last year or two, it isn't even close to what Gibons
was writing in the 70's 80's ... once again, it seems that
NO ONE today can write anything really worthwhile compared
to the music they gave us in the 80's ~. Lost City of Atlantis,
like their soles were taken from them lol.
Aldean really? Like his new song? Filmed in front of a courthouse where a black man was lynched in 1927. So is Aldean a racist or just too stupid or ignorant to understand history?
Don’t worry … Jason and the makers of Sound of Freedom are counting millions too !
Luckiest person in Jersey! Acted ok but mostly on the coattails of his betters.
Not even a journeyman guitarist and still considered a rockstar!😅 Smfh
Lilihamer
Steve...😂
He says rock and roll is his “religion.” I pray that he turns to Christ, as a guitar won’t bring salvation into heaven. Only Jesus Christ will.
He sold his soul long time ago
Steve has his dream job and accidentally got wealthy from it.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
P.S. You Will Always Be Catholic 🙏 You Are Truly Blessed.
Although he's not an active Catholic, Bruce Springsteen says: "You're always on the team."
@@JStarStar00 Nonsense.
@@auramac
Hardly. He discussed it at some length in his book. The gist of the statement is his saying he was born Catholic, went to Catholic grade school, as an adult drifted out of active participation in the religion, but still feels the group identification and regards Catholicism as his religion inasfar as any specific denomination.
Catholic are SO FAR from being blessed, as is anybody who feels the need to succumb to the indoctrinations of a "Religion". For every man, woman & child it is enough to believe in God and what He shows them personally.
Every time hear that someone is religious I lose respect for them.
Why does he always wear a rag on his head ?
To hide his baldness
Springsteen does not love his country.
You should know, you are a well known patriot. Thank you for your insight.
It’s YOU he and all of us dont like Nazi
Underground Garage is the best radio format around. Dan Rather is a disgrace. Basically accused Dan Akroyd of being racially insensitive for having classic R&B artists in the Blues Brothers. Hang it up already Dan. What are you, 90?
Dan Rather is a great journalist, a great American. What have You done lately?....
He was an idiot, for quitting the group, before the huge 1984-85 tour, to pursue a, umm, solo career.
I wonder how that worked out?
He’s not a great musician but he’s very entertaining when he goes off on an unhinged drunken TDS rant about conservatives
So him and 💩steen have the same political views? Never thought their music was great, just a couple of good songs, but it seems like they tried to convince everyone they were the greatest....? Let your music do the talking and I will be the judge!
Mediocre music at best
Springsteen is a douche like we care about his opinions.
Biggest farce...religion is God?? Lol ugh
At least he worships trump and putin.
Van Zandt is vehemently anti Trump.
Neither.
This must b a bot talking ...couldn t b further from the truth
How does it feel?
Cbcw76 😄 Only in your wet dreams. He's not an idiot.
