On rally mode you can set the throttle response to offroad which gives you less punch. This still allows you to change the traction control from 1-9 when riding.
I have just turned 50 (still feel 20) and ride a 300rr and love enduro and ride every weekend but lately i have also been riding an adventure bike and loving it. Thinking about moto camping . Loving your channel still.
The view of the dam was awesome, killer destination point! If your friends are on board with getting adv bikes, you guys are gonna have a blast. Great video, nice work with the variety of camera angles 🤘
The rally throttle is not great on steep technical stuff but great when blasting gravel tracks. The slip is great also lower it and the bike comes alive.
Brilliant! Rode this trail in December on my 250 and the whole time I wished I was on the 790! Love this part of Wales, my go to happy place! You weren’t far from the Devils Bridge and Devils staircase roads, not off-road but worth checking out next time you’re in that area if you haven’t done them before. Happy adventures!
Welcome to adventure, sir. Solo trips can become very addicting if you're not careful. For example, you can pack up and leave to go camping, and then decide after you've left that you'll go in a completely different direction. You're completely free to do whatever you want. Plus, one bike riding past that gate probably isn't a problem but picture if all your mates are there and now there's a rowdy pack of bikes trespassing.
Yeah, really enjoying this content mate. I was on the fence about getting an ADV bike for a while, but now I have to get one! Solo adventures are brill! 👊🏻
Awesome place that me and a mate did that lane a couple of weeks ago plus a few more lanes, im about in mold North wales if you ever want a guided tour of some lanes round this way 👍
I got the same tyres on my t700 definitely not a fan when it comes to the lose rocks and water and that’s one of my favourite green lanes up north wales just keeps on going.
it is so strange to me how you have this big empty areas with no forests. Here you'd have to go up the mountains above the treeline to see somethng like that.
@@SuperGizzzmo its called the Elan Valley, its in mid Wales. You can go to all the Dams / lakes etc on a normal bike as its all tarmac roads, but there are lots of green lanes and Byways etc in the area too if you want to go offroad. Make sure you fill your petrol tank on the way though as its literal wilderness
Brilliant trails to ride around mid wales. At the dam if you went over the bridge to the other side (where the sheep are) turn left through the gate you can come back on yourself through the river crossing and that’s a good little lane to ride 👌🏼
Damnit, I really need to make it a thing of NOT watching your adventure bike stuff...I was so set on getting an Indian but every video I watch I'm quickly being swayed!! It looks so comfortable to ride and the fact I live in Australia in NSW, where adventure is literally out my back door. Long rides and plenty of places to visit, an adventure bike seems to be a no brainer. Great vid man, I now know what helmet I'll get when I get my adventure bike 😂😂
It really is amazing to be riding on a smooth road and then just turn off into the countryside. It's a great feeling to have a bike that does both so well. Good luck man.
I went all through the Elan Valley last year on my MT07 but in the opposite direction south to north, I didnt realise how long it was and my fuel tank was showing empty 3/4 of the way. Zero signal on phone for sat nav, got to Devils Bridge and if I turned right there was a Petrol station about a mile up the road, but not knowing I went left, to absolute nothingness, went most of the way to Aberystwyth when I managed to get signal, it sent me down a mad road where I nearly had a head on with a Combine harvester but got me back on the A44. I literally ran out of petrol just before the entrance to the petrol station and had to roll to the pump 😌
I did that route the other year on my 300 views for days we did the strata I think it was called another great video oh and a bit of knowledge apparently that dam was used in a top gear series I think 😂
Loved your video man. Does that microphone attachment to your gopro help lower wind noise? Ive been using one of those foam thingys and its been ok but could be better.
Awesome.. I’d love to know where this as I want to try something on my Hyper - go somewhere and get lost and see if the either i die or the bike does 😂😂
Great video bud pretty new to the channel been a good watch. Looking forwards to getting out my self.. restricted to a 125cc for now. 👍👍 also, any body now if the MGB ATX 125cc adventure bikes are any good? Thanks
Think I’d load “what three words” on the iPhone now. Believe me it can come in very useful if it all goes wrong and your on your own in the middle of no where. 👍🏼
I still think you would love a KTM 500exc. They make good all purpose bikes and will take almost anything you throw at them. But you do whatever you want, it’s your life not mine.
They are pretty comfy on the road, and I think those 700cc+ engines sound amazing. That being said here in America drivers are scary, I don’t want to ride motorcycles on the road. My dad had a scary crash way back, I’m sticking to tearing it up in the mountains.
