I would like to speak to the comment made about Waylon, saying he would roll in his grave over his grandson's rap music. There's nothing further from the truth. I saw Waylon speak in an interview about racism and how much he hated being taught as a child that there's a difference between people because of color. He didn't believe in that and said whole heartedly that he saw no difference and that was one thing he would have wished to be taught different. He would be nothing but proud of his grandson to know that his influence made an impression on him and that he's learned to be true to himself.
Me and Struggle were watching the news in jail when they announced that Waylon had passed away. It was devastating and I'll never forget the pain in his eyes. That may have been the worst night in jail I ever experienced. But Struggle has risen from the flames like a Phoenix and I am so proud of him.
@@Travelingmanvegas you couldn't be more wrong. We were at CWC off Harding Place in the sheriffs dept. drug program called New Avenues. I have known his family since 1975. I'm sorry you're not knowledgeable.
I’m 52 and Waylon was the first music I can remember listening to as a young kid, 7 or 8 maybe, and the djs were so critical of him and Jesse. They would play his music but bash him for snubbing the Nashville establishment. I remember they would play one of jesse’s songs and say what is a girl like her doing with a guy like him. My mother and father couldn’t stand Roy Acuff and laughed when Waylon took his music told Roy to shove it and created his own label. We saw waylon’s shows every time he came around. At least this man Struggle knows what the term outlaw really means. God bless Waylon, God bless Jesse! God bless Struggle!
I am a big Waylon Jennings (annoying when people refer to a celebrity by their first name when they don't know them). I dig what you are doing, I grew up with hip hop early to mid-90s, your music has the integrity of that golden age of hip hop

Who names their child "Struggle" ?
Struggle is not his real name. He earned his nickname through life.

Struggle don't .....
Knock it off...
Please :-(
Shooter's first band Stargunn was as far away from country as you could get, but he still supported him
The REAL DEAL ❤ Shooter, Is Badass Also ❤
We have a lot in common
It was the year 19888 when Waylon had heart bypass surgery
That doesn't sound right to me, too far into the future. I think The Outlaws would be kind of settled down

Waylon was not a drinker. He did the cocaine, and he smoked cigs, but in no way did he do a "bottle of whiskey a day"
So you guys are gonna act like you know Waylon (a total stranger) better than his own grandson?
Was he not drinking when he was taking speed? You know when he was diagnosed with Hepatitis A and almost died from liver failure? That was before Richie Albright introduced him to cocaine
Waylon was never a drinker. He even said in his book that he wasn’t. Coke yes
