How cool….everything in yoga and our classical art forms has purpose and reason …. How we rub our hands and place them on the eyes after yoga, how we move our eyes in classical dancing, the kind of ragas we sing, the long om / bhramari pranayama…. Thank u for explaining

I highly recommend that you lay flat on the ground or anywhere flat when you start getting a panic attack. Drop everything you are doing and separate yourself from the situation that’s making you get a panic attack if you don’t start setting this boundary with yourself it will get gradually worse . Take control of you

Thank you .I have a kidney defect and pass kidney stones .
My disease causes pressure on the Vagas nerve it makes my blood pressure drop stops my bowels, I get dizzy it also triggers my hunger makes my left leg swell .
It also causes depression like bi /polar disorder after the kidney stone passes everything back to hood.
    Meditation has improved my lifev90%
I am very hard on myself when the stones get stuck and cause this.than I say Lori it not your spirit it is a physical reason from a birth defect.

Out of all these, I strongly believe deep diaphragm breathing where you try to squeeze out all the air ( by squeezing in the diaphragm) is possibly the best for vagus nerve activation- atleast physically.Activated vagus nerve has the power to get work done even by the weakest and most fragile organs.
Stress is mind related mostly and Mantra Meditation ( where the lips are vibrating, your ears and tongue are all forced to tune in a particular image or sound ) ensures deepest forced attention on the object of meditation and therefore works really greatest on stress.Hence our shastras confirm that mantra meditation is best of all sadhanaas which destroys past negative karma.

How amazing!! You remind me of the perfection and rafinament that our body is made of and it's not only the image in the mirror or with other words the physical appearance . There was so much effort and self-sacrifice that the Hyppocrates' followers put into over the ages in decoding the mystery of this manifestation of the Creation made of stardust and divine breath.
