I need to share with you about what happened to me. I have Hoshie and I was having a very hard time taking my meds when I was on vacation so by the time I got home I was crashing. They had to check me every 6 weeks and keep updating my dosage one step at a time. The diagnosis was that my Thyroid was dying. Some where I started making celery and carrot juice and my ratio was 2.5 lbs of carrots to 1 juicy bundle of celery. I was buying a big bag of carrots at Costco and I think it was a 5 lb bag so I was using 2 bundles of celery per big bag. It started healing my thyroid so much that every 4 weeks the dosage was way too much and was driving me crazy. Yes my thyroid was healing! I hadn’t figured out that what dairy I was still getting was causing inflammation ( haven’t used milk in years since it was homogenized ) but I was still using some cheese, buttermilk and dairy yogurt. The ENDO Dr was getting mad since he was having to have to back off my meds every 4 weeks but it should have been sooner. My primary care doctor told me to keep doing what I was doing! I found I was difficult dealing with all the left over pulp and that became a hassle so I am not juicing but I am eating lots of fresh food. My thyroid would probably heal all the way if I just didn’t back off but it is pretty stable. I just was able to bet a 40 lb bag of beets from Mexico and I am eating the as well as canning them i pints. I need to boost my Nitroxide level so my heat will do better. Anything that helps my blood vessels also makes it easier on my heart and is the best I can do to make the LAD stay open . I need to let the Adventist Health study know what has happened to me since Dec 2019. I have been studying lots of Dr and Nurse level maternal on UTube and taking care of my own health but one of these days I likely will take another stress test or do a recheck in the CATH lab. I don’t look like I have any issues so I carry my pictures from the CATH lab. I also trained a dog to detect that I am getting ready to have a heart attack and that I helping me a lot since I was getting silent attacks ( yes, the lab tests see the enzymes) . I was going to be the one who was going to drop dead from a heart attack as the 1st symptom since I am a type A person. I slow way down so my heart is getting enough blood since they were only able to open that artery to 50 % from 90% blocked when they thought it was only 70% blocked. I am doing all I can to keep it open and open up the other ones that they didn’t touch. I saw what Dr Crows pictures looked like so I can read lot more blockages and I have nailed the cause down to inflammation. I know that even if the had been able to put n a stent it will not stay open unless you find and fix what is plugging up your arteries to begin with. I have been telling my youngest son to change his diet but now that he has had 2 known heart attacks the Dr read him the diet act. My little service dog alerted on him and prevented a 3rd attack but I was not expecting her to alert across people. He was just setting down when she alerted and he didn’t understand what she did but as soon as he told me I told him how she is trained. She is so good about her job you have a 2-3 hour warning from her. I know that because I had one that wasn’t stopped by the meds and that was how long it was after I took meds. None of the tests show the attack even when it is happening. I was having a heart attack in the Dr office and they couldn’t tell since the EKG was normal and I didn’t have pain. I had another attack before I had tough my service dog how to alert and we were in the Drs office and she was worried so much so that they could see it and said something.. I am the one that said something was wrong and even after the stress test they though I was fine until they compared the blood flow tests. Then we had Covid and except for my wellness exams I am my own best Dr and I am better now but I have done a lot of extra studying to get better. There is so much more I could say but this is enough. No, I should tell you what set me off that there was a problem! My arms were burning one the soft side from the elbow to the armpit and the left side of my neck. Cant use heartburn with me, or shortness of breath and that is just normal for me but the burn was just wrong. I don’t remember chest pressure or tightness so I was almost totally symptom less. If I move to fast now I get a numb tingle down the outside of my right little finger, this is my canery in the coal mine and I slow down .
Chinese Hot Pot is a great idea but in my area, my whole family could eat elsewhere for the price they charge for just one person, and if I'm only really eating veggies, well, no thanks. IBS-D tricks that seem to work for me beyond a blue-zone diet: intermittent fasting - evening meals are the worst to include and breakfast is the beast to include 1 tsp homemade sauerkraut 3 times daily reduce or eliminate beta-glucan from yeast, bread, mushrooms etc reduce or eliminate some high-histamine foods (except sauerkraut) like vinegar, aged meats, etc added inulin - 1/4 tsp daily worked up to tbsps a day limited salt reduce or eliminate fructose supplemental or foods with a great amount of: beta carotene, zinc, vitamin D, and potassium are particularly helpful

If you don't have time to read Maria: dietary calcium is not absorbed when it reaches our intestines and is the cause of bone diseases (e.g. osteoporosis mentioned at 15:30). Green leafy vegetables, after the intestine microbiome transforms them, provide calcium.

I was told animal milk dairy yogurt is inflammatory but soy or nut based yogurt is ok for occasional use. My oncologist said this. Her reason is because there are animal growth hormones in animal milk which encourage the baby animals' growth. Not sure if all docs agree with her or not.
There is arsenic in rice, but it varies. I tend to avoid it altogether, but you can boil it and drain off water to reduce arsenic. There is much more arsenic in chicken, and it depends on where the rice is grown--California rice is the best, SE US rice is the worst. Most Asian rice is good, except for Thailand
How do lower income people afford organic food. I buy a little but certainly not the majority of my purchases. No on ever gives suggestions o how people can manage to buy healthy food. Not eligible for SNAP & not a generous budget for good food.
this might sound kinda weird but i love beans. I get 70-80% of my calories from different types of beans, and the rest of my calories from starch, fruit, and vegetables. My question is: is 160+ g of fibre per day unhealthy? I’m 119 lbs and 170 cm

Clearly you know nothing about the ketogenic diet. For one thing It's not a diet, it's a good healthy way of life. Two: Keto is meat, fish, and plenty of green vegetables. I think you'll find fibre in them. Not too sure, but if you are a vegan, you should know that, shouldn't you? Oh, yes keto people also consume some dairy where required and eggs of course. Nuts and a few fruits as well. The ones that contain the most "FIBRE" I know you Americans don't spell it quite that way, but I'm not from yank land.

What are your thoughts that rice contains large amounts of arsenic? If eaten too frequently, this heavy metal can cause damage to our organs.
I have heard that rice from the Orient does not contain arsenic as does US rice.
Just don't buy rice grown in Louisiana, Arkansas or Texas! This is where they used arsenic fertilizer to fight boll veevils on cotton crops!

I drink organic milk & use it make yogurt. Brings comfort & great taste. Don't know if it's harming me.
