Gotta love lore inconsistencies. First with Lewis and how gangs worked in Bilgewater, now Kai’sa can apparently live on the void with no repercussions because her bodysuit is made of dead bug skin, while Kassadin is barely human after hunting down the best anti-void armaments throughout runeterra
Darkin exist because the freaking god ascended warriors of shurima werent immune to its corruption, but a 9 year old can just live all her formative years up to adulthood in the void with little to no mental scarring, let alone physical scarring
@@omarjimenez6861 if Riot wants to roundabout this inconsistency, they could write that the suit is protecting her from the Void while slowly consuming her for itself (maybe give the suit a developing conscience, like Blue Beetle).

@@lesterantenor1026 symbiosis doesn't exist for the void, it just consumes and adapts. Kai'Sa having some Ascended's power for some reason and it slowly trying to consume her would be the only thing that would make the lore make sense.

Kinda strange that Kassadin have his skin blue as he does everything to resist The Void, but Malzahar who accepted whole heatedly still with a normal color skin.
Apparently according to his new WR design that blue skin now its proper armor. But riot forgot to update him on pc as usual
Wouldn't make more sense if he had blue skin, just like Ryze has blue skin from runic energy he collected to kill the void?

@@x-nimator9997 Ryze repelled Vel'koz-guy while he was touching his skin. So we can argue that rune power can protect from corruption.
"I love that Riot Games punishes me for not buying a smurf account". Exactly my feeling when my friends complain I play too much Lillia, but whenever I try to play anything else it feels like it's more try-hard than ranked games. Thankyou for making me feel like I'm not alone in having this issue.
I think design-wise the main issue to me is actually looking too close to the void. The void is not actually magically corrupting him, that's all the doing of his many artifacts, especially the nether blade. The only kind of "corruption" void is doing to him is just a mental psychological trauma making him lose his sanity. Where Kai'sa has this 'fighting fire with fire' theme and adapts to the void's enviroment to fight against it, Kassadin is the opposite. He has scrounged random artifacts across all of Runeterra that can help fight the void, he should look like an invader that does not fit that environment at all, like an insult to the Watchers and Malzahar.
His design could be better, but I like the idea of it looking a bit goofy considering it's random pieces of gear from all over Runeterra. He's like the type of RPG player who wears ugly random gear just based on what has the best stats.
He and Veigar should start a "Looted OP artifacts as a fashion choice" club

Nah. They should redesign him to fullfill the fantasy of absolute badass fighting of the Void by himself. He should meet Jax.
Wild rift did a good job with the redesign. Just...give him some ACTUAL voicelines please

I almost agreed until the last part. Kassadin's doomed tragic narrative is what makes him good. He is still an insanely badass doom slayer type, only this time he's actually got a proper narrative which the DOOM games never needed. He's a doom slayer mixed with narrative. Jax is a much better character to fight the void and still have his shit together and just overall be a more pleasant person. Kassadin is not fully mad and corrupted (Unless Riot forgets and fucks up his lore next time they write him), he is barely keeping his mind together and still determined to be a nigthmare for the void.

Imma be honest, wild rift did an amazing job in redesigning Kassadin just enough just so he makes sense in runeterra. Now he has actual armor and no blue skin, his gauntlet is the missing pair that ezreal has, his mask looks more badass and he has ACTUAL LEGS THANK GOODNESS.
I freakin love his story man, and i'm sad riot has not done anything with him other than a brief mention in bel veth's story 2 years ago. A father who has done everything in his power to walk thru the void and slaughter every single purple bug he finds ala doom guy just to find his lost daughter. Guy's badass! Just port his WR design to pc and give him ACTUAL voicelines please :'(
Love to see another Kassadin enjoyer. His story is so underrated. His color story is really good but it's sad he didn't get anything after. Bel'veth's mention of him got me excited though.

Kassadin's gameplay perfectly fits his lore, he dives into the enemy team like no tomorrow (just like how he dived into void) and then just... wins
Kassadin is basically Doom Slayer of Runeterra.
To me he has a Zealot (StarCraft) phase blade for a weapon. He does need a lore rewrite, but sadly that isn't exactly on Rito's radar

He's much more of a Doom Slayer with a tinge of Punisher in my eyes. Vader he's only really in visuals and being a dad. I think this is easily the most underrated champion lore in the entire roster. His plot is relatively simple but written so well. I think he surpasses Pantheon in pure testosterone-inducing badassery, it's only that Pantheon has his music theme. If he got a good DOOM-inspired music theme people would love him more. The nether blade is easily the coolest weapon in the entire lore, especially if you go digging deep enough to find rioter's statements about how fucked up it is. He is such a perfect doomed hero character and I hope more people realise eventually how good his lore *already* is. His color story is really damn good and again very underrated.
Also, props for getting the lore right and knowing that Kassadin thinks his daughter is dead and isn't trying to find and save her or something.It's a common misconception I see online. His motive is purely suicidal revenge.

I think it could be a fun twist if maybe he has so much anti-void artifacts fused to his body that he literally needs to absorb void energy to survive at this point, so if he stops fighting it he just dies.

I knew form the moment the notification popped up that this episode was going to be misery for you Nicky. We tend to have very similar taste in everything that involves league and I literally couldn't care less about Kassadin.
He looks so lame and goofy, his gameplay is SO boring and stupid. The only reedeming thing about him is his lore, which is so underdeveloped and non existant and has been that way for so many years that he's in the same boat with champs like corki, shaco, and twitch waiting to stop being olimpically ignored and something, even the smallests of efforts be done for them as a part of the League of Legends IP.
