Duktig reminded me of "molodets" from Russian. You usually use it when dealing with someone on a lower skill level that showed achievement. Usually kids or pets. Doing so because you were impressed by a virtuosic performance, for example, would be seen as extremely condescending.

Basically the postal service was turned into an enterprise in the 90s and I guess they just wanted to save money so they closed all post offices and outsourced some of their services to supermarkets and kiosks.

Vi har ju Svenska Akademien, men den hittar inte på nya ord längre. Om jag tycker att de ska syssla med sådant? Nja, i slutändan är det språkbrukarna som bestämmer vad som slår igenom.
