I gave up on this piece of shit mission. After the choppers and boats come. I destroy them then tells me to activate emp. After I do it Mario just dies each time.
For everyone having trouble like I did, just use the fire leech rpg or rebel drop it in. It makes the tank, boat and chopper part a whole lot easer and less impossible. If you don’t know how to unlock it, look it up

First kill the paratroopers with any gun you have then go to where the mission starts(where there is the weapon closet) opposite that you'll see a mounted gun use that to destroy the coming boats and heli's, then just fly towards the EMT and activate it. After the emt remaining tanks can be destroyed by rockets and granades. Just did it this way.
This mission is making me to the point where i want to smash my f***ing tv. and heres the dumbass part if mario dies or if the emp is destroyed it puts you at the checkpoint with the things at so low health its bs UPDATE: FINALLY DID IT OMFG
Just got this game. I finally beat this level after maybe 30 tries. Came here to vent. Glad we’re all in the same boat here. The same fucking gunboat. I can’t shoot the paratroopers’ parachutes for some reason, maneuvering around the shipwreck is a shipwreck, the aa guns are amazing except that they can’t aim at anything besides helicopters since they’re surrounded by indestructible, immovable fencing that prevents them from shooting below the horizon, and fucking stupid Mario INSISTS on helping instead of staying in his fucking bed, which of course only gives you a giant target that runs around the map and into enemy fire while shouting shit like “pRotEcT mEe RiiiiIicOooOo” holy fuck. Fuck this mission. I haven’t finished the game yet so I don’t know how it ends but I’m praying hard that Mario dies.
Well, most you guys forgot about the canon next to training sections in this stage. It can destroy helicopters and ship easily. Moreover, you can you the canon to shot pẩchutes as well.

Get the mech rebel dropped on the beach before you start mission, it will still be there in the mission. Then proceed to take soldiers & vehicles out. Makes it so much easier.
This has got to be one of the hardest missions I have ever done. I felt like I was in a never ending loop always destined for failure. Finally completed it though, and I will definitely never start a new game because of that mission alone.

I found the Emp the problem for me. It almost blew up the first time I did it. Second time I completed it. Just get to the soldiers before mario and try to kill things before they can kill you

There's an easy way to finish thi mission... Just complete the Stingray ray area misdion, get the Eden spark gun,and voila, use that Eden spark gun in this mission and and missions... should be far easier now...

Yea, Di Ravello is cheating alright. But you also have some cheats on your side, it’s called “infinite ammo on specific weapons” and “delete all enemy vehicles at specific times”
Fuck that I need a cheat code this is impossible, those who beat this must have a cheat code for Mario’s health or something because it’s impossible and I’m not starting the mission over to just do all that work over so Mario’s health is just low at every retry. I can’t get any progress and I’m stuck
