Uganda has really mothered people from all these countries. Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, Somalia, Ethiopia, Eriteria, South sudan I hope people from these countries will appreciate this country once they return to their countries❤
I remember that place, i used to graze our heards of cattle before being occupied by the refugees in 1990s. The refugee camp was at Kashojwa. And i joined Kashojwa primary school and left their in 1998. UNHCR should bring water from the lake Nakivale to their homesteads. They're really walking long distances to fetch water. Am praying for you, love from Bukanga, Isingiro district.
Great work brother. Iam a ugandan but I have never visited that place. You have such a good heart, may God bless you abundantly . And may God open doors for all those refugees and bring peace to their respective countries 🙏
I resided just a few minutes from the place called “new Congo “ for a few years until I moved here to America with my family. I miss it so much dawg😭😭😭
Have never been to that part of my country. Crazy that I speak Kinyarwanda as a Ugandan and these are my people as we. Will definitely have an outreach and reach out to these people and try help anyway I can.
I'm just grateful to meet my friend Mukamba January Alumnae from Nsamizi and I'm happy that still have that passion of Social worker. I liked the Guy from US too👍
2021 is the year i visited and stayed in this blessed beautiful land though being a Ugandan had went to get refugee in somali community evening times at basketball court to enjoy the nakivale
The video was awesome. It reminded me a lot of memories. Saw the people that I missed for so long!!! Good work. But you did not make it clear by not telling the audience that you once lived there!!
If development partners really care for refugees then there's no use of taking them to west but rather develop their communities and improve household incomes because what I see here these people are skilled and have potential to create jobs the only thing they need is infrastructure development
Instead of taking those people to europe and usa, the unhcr should just develop that community by building its infrastructure ,agriculture and industries .This will create enough employment for these refugees. It's very easy to implement
There are very many people in the camp with lots of different skills and expertise. They can do anything if given the opportunities. But also there are some organizations that are supporting those with different talents. Thanks sir for the ideas.
Was it necessary to let the lady mention her husband's fone nbr on the cam? Anyway thanks for the video, my thought about the camp is different of what I just saw, I have never been in any camp. You said the place is too hot and wonder how people live there on the other side I see you greeting old friends, have you ever been there before? And how many languages do you speak? Next time visit Burundi with Janvier.
Thanks for your contribution friend. I lived there about 11 years ago. A lot of things including the climate have changed. I will visit Burundi next time.
For those who want and know how, they cultivate but also there isn’t much land for cultivation as refugees have increased in numbers. Pray for peace in their home countries
U’ve killed two birds with one stone. I guess very few people gat that kind of a helpful heart. May u keep it up brother George.Greet me Alain Muruhura, my OB at Kashojwa Primary School, the likes of Anto🤚🤚🤚
Fir clarification, nakivale is a refufee settlement not a camp.....therevis a difference....in nakivale you can have access to small piece of land and do afew domestic things but for a camp, everything is distributed to you and normally live in tents
You need to read and understand the history of the partitioning of Africa! The European colonialists separated communities into different countries. So in DRC, Tanzania and Uganda there are Kinyarwanda speaking tribes. Burundi is pretty much similar to Rwanda. The languages are the same with slightly different accents.
This camp has thousands of refugees from different countries in Africa. Let us pray for peace in all the countries so that these beautiful people can one day enjoy peace in their own countries.
I was born here and thank God we cane back home in 1994. Long Live RPF Inkotanyi

@@OlameNdame 😅ok ok🙌
So, Nakivale has iron-roofed houses unlike most of houses in Kyaaka2 Kyegegwa district, Uganda?!
I enjoyed this place
My friend, if you didn't know Nakivale is a model settlement
Instead of taking those people to europe and usa, the unhcr should just develop that community by building its infrastructure ,agriculture and industries .This will create enough employment for these refugees. It's very easy to implement
Refugees have been since 1990s I guess and most of them are now absorbed into Ugandan communities as citizens
There are very many people in the camp with lots of different skills and expertise. They can do anything if given the opportunities. But also there are some organizations that are supporting those with different talents. Thanks sir for the ideas.
