Excellent explanation.. no other auto channel has cover this very particular area of 4 speed AT in MSL.. all cleared now on down shifting and OD. Keep it up guys . Job well done 👍
Crisp, to the point, checking ✔all the check boxes, good video quality, explains each and every point whatever we wanted to know. You have done an amazing job. Hat's off. Extremely good video for brezza, urban cruiser and s cross automatic owners and aspires,
I wouldn't recommend one should drive this way too often, I think it L & 2 functions are more to be used in hilly areas or where one needs engine breaking. If one drives regularly like this, i.e. starting from L reviving till red line than shifting to 2 and to D and holding 3rd and than 4th, it will wear out the TC gearbox soon and may not be safe. If it would have been safe and intended for such use I am sure MSL would've provided a simple tiptronic function to make it easier.
TC gear box wont wear-out, but excess heat is a chance, because of the fluid dynamics involved. Tiptronic function is possible where there is a cog wheel gearbox. Here its more continuous (range of gear-levels is high), so it would be lil tough for the user to adapt to.
Very well explained sir. What I am understanding is, in the event of overtaking, we can engage 2nd or 3rd as required and on the move, and get the required power from the engine. Pls confirm if I am right.
Changing from D to 2 or L & vice versa requires break to be pressed? Or how can it be done also for 3rd Gear Lock will break be required or just button has to be pressed.

very helpful video i was wondering what is 2 L and OD function u helped me understand beautifully thanks buddy subscribed ur channel as well all the best
Thank you for all the information bro. Just one question: Sometimes the hybrid automatic stopper does not work. Yes I hv manually turned on the hybrid button given on the right side. Its still doesn't work. And then the second day or third day it starts working again. Did anyone come across this situation?
It happens mostly when the Li battery is low. Or if it's overheating as well. It can also happen when ur ac is set too low(auto mode) and the cabin isn't cool enough and so start/stop won't work. it needs the engine/compressor to run for ac cooling. Fans will work tho and can bring the already cool air for a while.
In manual mode, using paddle shifters agar 4 gear mei gaadi slow karke roke bina gear (-) kiye to kya automatic gear 1 mei aayega or kya gaadi still chalu rahegi?
Brilliant explanation. I have an older suzuki TC-AT, I wanted to know about the Auto engine ON/OFF. The D > L or D>L2 cannot be done above certain speeds in my AT. But from L>L2>D can be done at ease.
Thanks for the in depth review very useful for both beginners and experts I was wondering who will show it driving in 2 and L only you did, thanks. I don't want to even do 2 and L let the gearbox do it for me with "D" will it be ok?.
D is extremely dangerous downhill. The speed keeps on rising (gears kept upshifting) even without accelerator. You'll have to keep braking and this might overheat them and you may not get breaks after a few kms. So use L or 2 in these scenarios.
Very well explained...how about the overall AMT performance...I wanted to buy Vitara Breeza Dual Tone AMT...how about the performance and is it worth buy ?
Can you tell whether the Brezza Automatic would have any trouble climbing Hairpin bends in hill stations with full load of passengers? I have seen the Baleno CVT sweat heavily in a relatively small climb.
Nice Review There is one more button on the gear know other than overdrive what is its purpose When should the overdrive be used for driving... ie for highway drive or city drive
As I.understand, other Button is to unlock the gear in case of emergency to move from P to N, in case vehicle don't start and need to be towed or pushed. Without pressing this unlock Button you won't be able to move from P to N without starting Engine.
Here’s the list of RPM's when the transmission is in 4th gear at different speeds: 60kmph @ 1,500 RPM 70kmph @ 1,800 RPM 80kmph @ 2,000 RPM 90kmph @ 2,200 RPM 100kmph @ 2,500 RPM 110kmph @ 2,700 RPM 120kmph @ 3,000 RPM
Amazing explaination. Sir i have small question. Let's assume I am on highway cruising in 4th gear (D) and around 120 kmph.. Now i want to overtake one vehicle and I need more speed. So for that I need to shift to 3rd. If I press the break lock button... Will it downshift to 3rd from 4th..?? Thanks
P will lock transmission. Vehichle will be hard to tow, on gears. N frees up transmission when towing, or when you want to coast. Waiting on signals, we either need to brake / park-brake , if we are on N. alert : Engine vaccum assist will be UNAVAILABLE normally in engine off situation, so very risky to brake the vehicle, never coast the vehicle in N in unpredictable situations
