You are most welcome and thank you so much for the support. They keep growing well..only please don't over-water. Before watering, always let the top soil dry out. Wish you all the best!
My gerbera flower petals became dry within couples of days of blooming. I placed it in South facing balcony and Get full day sunlight. I use growth NPK and flowering NPK alternatively in every 10 days, also I used micro nutrient and Epsom salt, I also spray NKP and Fungicide in leaves. All leaves are healthy. Then why my gerbera flower Not stay long, please advise
Thank you so much for your words, much appreciated! Sure, that would work too..but if possible, you can try using Potassium Humate..because it really works. Even if you don't use, it's okay. Just no of flowers may be bit less. Whenever I grow any flowering plants, I always aim for Maximum Flowers :-) For example, My Bougainvilleas are blooming NON-STOP from September...7 months NON-STOP flowering and it's really a great feeling :-) Hope, you got my point. Good luck with your plant!
Sir, what are the alternatives for Fish Emulsion & Panchagavya + Flower boosters. Not possible to keep all new types of fertilizers. Kindly suggest alternatives too.... Thank you !
I can understand and you are totally right. It's not possible to keep all types of fertilizers. That's why I provide result after using different things. And, we can get more flowers on Gerbera by using other things as well and I already did a video 2 years back (Soil mix was different too). Please watch here - ruclips.net/video/xb8pERHDEok/видео.html The most important thing is to provide basic Nutrients like NPK and other Micro-nutrients in time. We can achieve this by many ways n I always like to experiment different things. At the same time, I also provide many ways to achieve the same result so that my viewers can follow at least one method :-) Thank you and Sir is not required actually...Good luck with your plants :-)
Can we provide these liquid fertilizer, which you showed, in March month also? we lived in western ghats in Karnataka state. after and before giving these liquid what about watering the plant?
Sure, we can. It's organic and doesn't harm plants. Before applying the fertilizer, it's actually good if the soil remains on dryer side a bit. If the soil is wet, impact would be bit less. After applying, next you can water like you do as usually (It's better to top soil dry out before watering).
For Gerbera, both are okay...but hard to say which is better - either Sand or Perlite. Because, it would depends on the plant & the quality of the products itself. Sand + Soil -> Gets too compact over time. Sand + Perlite - Doesn't become too compact over time. Choice is yours..thank you!
There could be only 2 reasons - 1. Too much water and soil is soggy 2. Lack of nutrients For Gerbera, please always use extremely well drained potting soil mix and water only when top soil is dry. You can check the soil..if it's wet, keep it in a place where it can get more airflow. Stop watering for next few days and do it when only top 1 inch soil is dry. Eventually it would revive. You can also keep the pot on the top of a pot which is filled with dry sand or soil. The bottom pot would absorb the excess moisture. In other case, you would need to fertilize your plant. I hope, it helps, thank you!
