    This video answered so many of my Gerbera questions. I always wondered why my plant never grew big leaves (as seen in most YT video). Now ik that I have the dwarf variety. Luckily my plant has never had any fungal issue even though it was extremely neglected (1st year gardener here)
    and kept in rains for long hrs. I've had it for 8 months now and it hasn't given me any blooms yet. Hoping to see some soon!!
    Thanks for another detailed video..

    I want to thank you so much for your "detailed" but not overwhelming instructions on this beautiful gerbera daisy. I just recently bought one, which got small lt.brown spots on it. I looked it up & seemed that it had some kind of bug? I immediately moved it away , I didn't have an insecticide, so I made a tea out of spearmint leaves. It is growing, but the leaves have the same little spots. I put it in quarantine, but I am not sure what else to do with it. I might just throw it away.
    I bought another one in a diffenent store, and after about 7 or 8 days, I decided to repot it. It is still growing flowers, 2 of the original flowers died over time, 1 is left. { it came in a 8" tall by 3" at the top (it tapers down to 3" at the bottom) with lots of holes
    I was wondering how many inches wide & tall should be in? The whole 8" by 3" was roots. How much should I touch the roots - they are almost connected across the bottom

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 месяца назад

      The base should be above the soil level and only roots should be inside, not too big pot though as it holds water

    Nice info on Gerbera. You have talked about the potting media of gerbera but more precisely what is your ideal potting mix for these daisies? And of course tell us about the type of planter that would be ideal for Gerbera. Plastic pot or clay pot?

    • @MMMPlants

      Mostly normal garden soil with some compost and bone meal powder and will keep it loose and well drained. Plastic pot is ok but please avoid overwatering, you can water when they go a bit droopy!
