I just found out about her death last week. I didn't know she passed away in January RIP Nerene Virgin
this is probably the saddest episode of the entire show, R.I.P. Hazel, and R.I.P. Nerene Virgin, thank you for all the wonderful memories of you and this show, how could we ever forget

As someone once said or sang “some things I don’t understand, some things are scary and sad, sometimes I even get bad when I’m mad, sometimes I even get glad. Why does a dog have to bark? Why does a butterfly die? Why can’t we play all the time in the park? Why can’t my kitty cat fly? Why why why why why I wonder why. Why why why why why why I wonder why”

There were 3 sad episodes
1. Butterfly
2. Phil's Visit
3. Wishes
This and Phil’s visit were the two most serious episodes of the show.
And..."Wishes" it ends with Jeff giving up his wish if finally being able to leave the store to save hus friends...and then walking to a window, sad and forlorn
I even cried in this episode. I know what it's like to lose a friend.
Every now and again I can still remember Baxter's soft white fur. I remember after my dog Baxter died. I purchased a stuffed toy dog
This episode has been with me in my memories since I watched it when I was a child. It taught me about death. Our first fur baby just passed on Jan 21st. Her name was Orea and she was 17. She lived long enough to see our newborn baby born in November. RIP my little OREA AND NERENE.
I had been trying to find what show this was because this one scene was etched in mind, even though it must have been from when I was a kid in the 1980s.
Great show, it was one of my favorites when I was a kid growing up in the 80s, too bad shows like this aren’t made anymore
When I was super young, I had a dog. An old English sheepie named Baxter. And he got to be old and we had to put him down and I was very sad when he passed away. I still keep his picture as my wallpaper on my phone.
Almost two years ago, a friend of mine from Fiji who was like a sister to me died. This episode reminds me of that.

See feelings are very powerful things. When you get angry and yell at your best friend or your mom or your dad or brother or sister or even your significant other it can make them cry
The woman who played The Mime Lady (Nikki Tilroe) was the vouce of Hazel.
She also did Ding-a-ling the telephone from The Christmas Toy.
Hazel was a cute schmetterling.
First my dog princess and then two mika and now Ella they both died from last year

You wouldn't happen to have "Wishes" would you?
Wishes was another sad episode. But Butterflies was straight up sad. Wishes was more like a dark comedy.
According to Eastern religious beliefs, Hazel will reincarnate. So she will be reborn, but as something/someone else.
