Both my parents have dark hair. When I was younger I have very pure light blond hair. As I've gotten older it's gotten a tad darker... I got it from my aunt.
It's not REALLY rare actually if a few grandparents have blond hair it's common for the kid to have blond hair
+Ninja Chipmunk Actually, it IS rare. Seeing as blonde hair technically is a genetical mutation, it's easily over powered by stronger genetics, such as brown hair.

Blond hair is a recessive trait in your genes, so someone in your family has blonde hair, but two dark Browns, a dominant trait, will have a 1/4 chance of creating a blonde hair child.

I am the oldest of five. My great uncle lives with us four days out of the week. And half of the year my nana lives with us. We live in a 1,700 sq foot house housing 7-9 people. I say children should have to learn to share rooms with each other.

Or maybe one of the parents had blonde hair when they were younger, but they just grew out of it. And probably this person was lucky and kept the blonde hair, and didn't grow out of it.
