Sunday Freight Action at Goulburn, Cullerin & Tallong- 2/10/22

- The next video to come from the NSW road trip (it's coming to an end soon!) is from another day spent around Goulburn and some of the locations not far from there in Tallong and the Cullerin Ranges for another great day with more freight action than you can poke a stick at.
We begin in Goulburn Yard with the arrival of Pacific National's TT123 and TT122 on 2M41 empty ARTC ballast set which they stable in the yard before venturing out to Cullerin for SSR's 8242 loaded grain from Nyngan to Allied Pinnacle's Maldon facility with the all ex-Greentrains combination of RL306, 4908 and RL302 making a loud ascent up the grades, with this train being followed to Tallong where we also catch TT1206-TT107 top and tailed on 1297 empty aggregates to the nearby Peppertree Quarry as well as NR's 85, 68 and 116 on 7BM4. We then return to Cullerin to see 7BM4 again as well as ST24 XPT and a couple of QUBE grain trains- 1363 from Minto to Temora with 1107, 1106 and CM3313 and 3966 from Junee to Inner Harbour with CM's 3314, 3304 and 3301.
Returning to Goulburn in the last light of the day we set up on the station platform for PN's 9339 from Inner Harbour to Parkes headed by 8111, 8161 and 8171, finishing up with NR38, LDP006, NR110 and NR81 on 7YN2 crossing 8230, 8153 and 8167 on 9327 empty grain from Inner Harbour to Cootamundra.

I absolutely love the shots of 7BM4, ST24, 1363 and 3966! Brilliant!
It's a great area around the Cullerins, sometimes wish I lived a bit closer so I could get there more often.
4908 was definitely a highlight there. What a plucky little loco that was!
From what I've seen commented I think that one has got low wheel life remaining so it doesn't get out that often, very happy that it was out on that though!
That cross between the two freights in Goulburn is good.
