In my interpretation of it and from what I relate to in real life is showing a “different” you to the different groups of people around you all in hopes of fitting in and having everyone like you. But after you do this for so long you lose sight of who you really are. You no longer know which you is the real you. At the same time you realize that the people around you don’t really like you for you. They like the “different “ you the one that you created. I think the big message is that you shouldn’t put on a fake act to win the affection of those around you. You need to keep sight of the real you and have people accept you for who you are. You gotta love yourself first before you let other people love you. This song honestly opened my eyes to the way I view myself and the way that I act around people.
