Congrats! You're now one of the few people in history to be the fastest vehicle in a convoy while driving an air-cooled Beetle. A very exclusive, hilariously slow club.
Over 45 years ago, my uncle had a VW Bug. He drove it like an I-95 madman on the curvy roads in the hills of northern PA. If you ever got into that little Bug with him, you hung on for dear life.
I've been over that bridge, or another very much like it from NJ into PA. I was stuck behind someone scared to death of traffic in the other lane who encountered someone coming the other way who was also terrified. It was basically a stand-still in the middle of the bridge as they stared at one another. Eventually one moved and I didn't have to die in my car.
Did that Herbie formerly belong to Nathan the suicide prevention activist? I remember it having the roll bar and I think he got those '71-'72 front seats at some point.
Yeah, I think they were just ham-fistedly crammed in there. The tracks welded to the floorpan differ between '63 and '71. I'd totally grab them for my '71 if the bases aren't ruined, as I need a pair to cut down to mount other seats.
Double comment but damn am I jealous. I don’t have a group of queers to hang out with, and I no longer have a group of car people to tinker and drive around with. And y’all have both of those together. I’d be too awkward to be part of something like this anyway, tbf
You all are hilarious, not a huge fan of the itty bitty cars but you all sound so fun together. As someone also part of the LGBTQ community and older who really does not participate in car shows down here in Florida it is refreshing to see.

THERE'S A THEY THEM IN THIS THERE BAR! 😂😂😂😂😂 I am ded. Also, best convoy ever. Super fun shenanigans.
That killed me too 😂😂😂

“Right where Husain was hiding” took me OUT
I was actually in tears and hurting from laughing so hard
Veronica talking like Brian is the most adorable thing ever.
I’ve been watching rcr for a decade at this point, it’s genuinely just baked into my humor and has been for years now lol
"There's a they/them in this here bar" is about the funniest thing I've ever heard. I wish I could have made it to the show! Cool!
you must not have no idea of what comedy is
Cope
Me: "Can we get a fire truck?"
Jay: "We have a fire truck at home"
[the rest of the meme completes itself]
actually its still probably more efficient and obviously cheaper than an American fire truck
@@yeoldeseawitch It could go on bike lanes. If the US had any.
As a transfem person who feels very alone in their local car scene, I cannot tell you how much hope and joy this brought me!
I feel the same way. Very glad I got recommended this video.
🏳️⚧️💗
Same! I want queer car friends!
watching this, steadily realizing that I don't actually dislike cars, they just need to be more gay

"pre-9/11 optimism" floored me LMAO
Idk how to explain it but your glasses just fit you so well
Loving the content so far! Keep it up!
And I'm so glad there's finally a trans automotive content creator! We like cars too!

Yep! And yea however those seats are not long for this world they’re pretty horrible lol

This show looked like a super fun time, and great road trip!
2:40 in. I am betting the Alto Works makes it flawlessly. Why? Because it *Works!*
Damn, that Alto Works is so cool!
Also yoooooo Muzzy!
You know they designed the taillights to look like afterburners!
You mean the most rad line up of vehicles! Ridiculous would be the same damn 68 Camaro over and over again.
Nice video really like your vibe.
You seem to have a really great queer car friend group, wish I had that
I need a Herbie of my own
You all are hilarious! 😂😂♥️
God dammit you are so cool!
5-year-old me wants to be you when he grows up!
Damn, how did I miss an RCR meet?!?
