That one handed interception was one of the greatest picks I've ever seen and it was by a DE too. Crazy.

What a performance by West Virginia, there offense and defense absolutely raddled that North Carolina offense and defense too, the future looks bright for West Virginia.
Not sure what you saw. Their defense was good at times, especially in the 2nd half. But it's not like they were playing against a good team. Their offense is going to need work if they are going to win the Big 12 next year. It was ugly in the first half and kicked multiple FGs instead of getting TDs.
About half of North Carolinas starters opted out of the game. WVU might as well have been playing East Carolina 😂

@sunwheels, Hudson started the season as a walk-on. I believe if I remember correctly that PFF graded him as one of the 4 highest graded Freshmen wide receivers in the country.

His play calling in the red zone and time management was absolutely horrible. Saying those things doesn't mean people hate him, we want him to do better and make better decisions in those situations. No true WVU fan wants their coach to be horrible. NB has a great season except for the Houston and Oklahoma game. Next year is gonna be awesome

UNC fans can complain all they want, but if that’s your future talent going forward, you’re in for a long tumultuous ride. WVU had players out as well.
Zach Frazier- donaldson - Carter were huge players missing for WVU + half out defense was injuried and transfer portal . UNC had their star Running back we didn't.

They weren't there because half of the top players didn't suit up. Thats the issue with non National Championship bowl games, players just opt out to play making this bowl game irrelevant even more
With such a young football team, West Virginia is definitely back as a winning program again. Very impressive win over a talented NC team.

At end of 2nd Q, NC did have a TD before (hopefully at 3rd and 4 they get TD after) and almost blocked WV FG attempt which still ended in success to give 7 point led.

The '07 team should've won the national title.

On that fake field goal, why isn't the holder ruled down the moment he receives the snap given that his knee is on the ground when he catches the ball? This is college football. He should be ineligible to advance the ball as soon as he has possession.
Think about it. If the holder was ruled down then every extra point and field goal kicked the play would be ruled down and there would never be a point scored.

Mack Brown is a too nice guy, which is his strong and weak sides at the same time. He recruits one outstanding QB, stick with him 3~4 years, and never even considered to recruit another 5 stars. QB motivation problem always follows his QBs b/c there is no QB competition in his team. Problem? google QB list that Mack Brown hadn't even considered to recruit: Drew Brees, Matthew Stafford, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin, Ryan Tannehill, Nick Foles, Ryan Mallett, Jameis Winston... @@DB_3900_E.S.O North Carolinas starters had no interest in this game. WVU might as well have been playing East Carolina instead. For comparison, Florida State has over 20 guys not playing in their bowl game but Georgia is bringing EVERYONE.
