I'm so glad you have a video about geting a spray tan. Some people do not understand why a person of color would get a spray tan. I'm African American (about Gabrielle Union's complexion) and I spray tan and self tan. It evens your skin complexion, hides scars, cellulite, bruises, etc. I love the sun but not skin cancer or wrinkles. Yes, Black people can get skin cancer. Bob Marley died of skin cancer. Your body is fire. I need to hit the gym. LOL.
It can do both depending on the color you get. I'm dark on my face (think Fenty 445/450) but have yellow under tones on the rest of my body. My legs are a lot lighter than my face and look pasty pale (in my opinion). I get the darkest self tanner to tan my legs. So on my skin, it darkens it. It also camouflages a bit of cellulite on my thighs and other scars. I traveled to the islands this summer for vacation. I knew it was going to be very hot, so I used a bit of self-tanner on my face. It evened out my complexion. I didnt need any foundation, maybe just a bit of powder for shine and some concealer to cover my under eye bags due to partying/alcohol. LOL. I hate wearing lots of makeup in very hot climates.
Some of those famous models from Brazil who walk in the Victoria Secret show either use self tans or spray tan. I remember seeing them do this before the show. I'm sure they also use an SPF, at least for their face, when they go out in the sun. But they depend on healthy looking skin. Its what pays their bills. Sun damaged skin does not photograph well. But, I suppose if you don't care about wrinkles and/or skin cancer its not an issue.

Use an SPF everyday and a bit of self-tanner or spray tan if you want a bit of color. I am a darker skin African American and I use an SPF of 30, sometimes an SPF of 40. Because Black does crack if you don't take care of it. Trust me, leather looking/sun damage skin is not cute. Safety first.

i hate when people braid the beginning of twists .. i know some people say it makes it more secure, but when you learn how to do them correctly they dont come undone.
Essence Bennett I thought I was the only one that noticed that! Any stylist that braids that way isn’t that good in her skill. Back in Africa, all the women start the twist from top. Doesn’t look so good when it starts with actual braids. And for £155? Wtfff?? LOL!
It’s painful but not a lingering pain. Short lived and quite good results if that’s what you prefer to do. Now the lips/ labias are really sensitive. My eyes crossed a few times from removal of hair from that particular part of the vagina. However the pain was not a deterrent from having it done.
K What helps me is drinking coffee of grean tea (gunpowder, not the ones in a sack). It does kind of lessen the pain. But it’s worth it. Make sure your go every 1-2 months depending on your hairgrowth.
One thing I do not miss is waxing and I work in a wax studio where all waxing is free for employees. I leave work and I go pay for laser hair removal. Waxing/sugaring is soooo painful and everytime i was up on the table I used to be like wait why am I doing this to myself again !? 😂😂 you look soooo bomb though sister!!!

mckenzie thorton I’ve tried both and in my experience hard wax gets rid of really thick and dense hair the most effectively and after your hair gets a little thinner and less dense then I’d recommend sugaring. But both have worked well for me. Even though for me regular wax was more gentle on my skin (it matters when you have to go over areas) whereas sugar wax wasn’t as gentle.
Is your tan affected if you use face products like masks or that include acids eg hyaluronic , glycolic or washes with sacylic? I know you mentioned exfoliators rub it off but I'm curious about how it would reacts with these other products! 💁

I've gotten sugar waxed for the last couple of months - noticed little to no ingrown hairs! Not sure about hyper-pigmentation though. My sugarist recommended I use witch hazel to even out my skin tone down there 😊
