Very good review - not only for the bike but also for all these components! A lot of added value in it. Actually I have received answers to many questions about the fork, shock and especially the brakes. Thank you, man! Happy riding!
Maxis tires seem to have a thread problem lately, as in they're failing or manufactured incorrectly producing the wobble you described. I have a DHF and DHR2 which both do this despite being perfectly mounted on perfectly true rims. When paying such high prices for them I can't say I'm not very disappointed. Going back to Schwalbe, who always deliver. You might want to try Eddy Currents on your Ebike.
That sucks to hear about the tire wobble considering the price of nice tires. I'm sticking with Schwalbe or Michelin for the most part. Ive just never found a Maxxi Pad that I truly liked. Plus I've found the Schwalbe Super Gravity casing to hold up about as well as the Maxxi Pads DH casing tires. Also hard to beat the Magic Mary front and Big Betty rear combo IMO P.S. TRP DHR EVO brakes all day!! 🔥
I would change the AXS ( its sweet but heavy. Got it on my TrekTF ) and the casette for something lighter. Sprung mass in the rear holds down the suspension. This + coil I think would do magic. Good rev ! Nice riding :)
This bike is amazing in value as well as all Polygon bikes are! How I wish they can be set as a mullet because my short legs cannot stand with 29er wheel 😂.
Great detailed review. Between the Collosus N8E and the Siskiu T7E, if you had to choose one to be your every day, do it all bike, which one would you pick? Out here in Ottawa, anything we have available to ride is elevation wise is laughable to BC offerings. We have a few "mountains" that have bike parks but without lift access, and this is where the eMTB is most appealing, to get the laps in. But locally we have XC style trails in Gatineau Park etc, so there is a bit of a variety in what I would ride regularly, sort of 50/50, al a matter of which direction I want to go in. And one thing I noticed, you didn't have the chonky display on your bars. Is that removable? MY preference is to have a minimalistic control/display. If you removed it, are you using your phone to monitor your battery life throughout the ride?
The Collosus in this video is the non-electric enduro bike… that’s why it doesn’t have a display. The display on the N8e and T7e are pretty small and Rick away beside the stem. As for my choice between the 2… I’d choose the N8e. Much better build and it’s so capable.🤘🏻
I don't even know what to say.. why I assumed that was the eMTB baffles me! Appreciate the input though. The fact that it comes with higher spec components vs the T7e at a reasonable price point is certainly a selling point.
Hello! Im looking into this bike as my first enduro dedicated bike for east africa. What would be your opinion on this bike compared to spending 4-8 thousand dollars on a top notch enduro bike such as a santa cruz, commencal.. etc Would you reccomend upgrading it as you said in your video, or just going for a bike with top end parts! Great video ❤
Would you say it’s kind of dumb to have both a Colossus N8E and a normal pedal Colossus N7 at the same time? As in, I don’t have a normal full suspension (not Ebike) and I’m wondering if it would make more sense to get the D7/T8 vs the Colossus N7, since I have the N8E.
Most definitely! The T8 is a much better pedaler and still super capable on the descents!🤘🏻I have mine over forked right now with a 160mm fork and it rips!
Excellent review of the bike it’s capabilities and on the parts, wheels, brakes, etc. I’m looking to get an Enduro bike and in between sizes which I know has been asked 1 million times. How tall are you and what size bike are you on in the video?
I already replace rims with crankbrothers synthesis, swap tires to vittoria mazza with front 2.60 and rear 2.4 tubeless, brake lever with xt, caliper with magura, rotor magura mdrp, sprocket with slx, barset with burgtec, both shock with kasihma, and stil 17.6 kg only reduce 1.2 kg 🥲
why is it that the only reviewers that rave about polygons and marins are the ones that got the bikes for free?? is it just me or is there a problem here?
I honestly think these bikes are as good as bikes twice the price! I love supporting brands that make cost conscious products that are designed to get more people out on the trails and enjoying our wonderful sport! There is no problem here.✌🏻
do you deny getting free bikes from those brands? that's called conflict of interest and makes your opinion biased. Should you not declare it clearly at the start of such reviews?@@TopToBottomMTB
@@aliasrandom9241 every video I make with products provide to the channel for review/content creation has that declaration. It says “includes paid promotions” at the top left of the video when it starts. It’s part of google’s policy. Polygon supporting the channel is not a conflict of interest and me telling my audience I’m stoked to ride these bikes is the truth! ✌🏻
can you not see the conflict of interest? you are paid by Polygon to ride and review Polygon and the only way you let people know about this is with "includes paid promotion". EACH VIDEO SHOULD START with "I'm paid by polygon so take my review with a grain of salt because if I say anything bad about them they'll dump me" @@TopToBottomMTB
Polygon does not pay me… RUclips does. I signed up to be a Polygon Ambassador because I love their bikes and what the company stands for… Creating a lower barrier to entry for more people to join our sport is what they focus on by making great bikes at affordable prices. My aim is to simply show my audience how capable these bikes are by riding them in the most demanding terrain I can find. And BC is full of it!🤘🏻

Cheers fin! Glad you got something out it! Thx for watching!🤜🏼🤛🏼
@@TopToBottomMTB I thank you for the first hand info - nothing compares to experience!

Will do! Thx for the tip! Glad to see I’m not the only one out there.🤜🏼🤛🏼
I have a maxis recon on my xc bike and have the problem too. I trued the wheel and it is still happening. very strange.
Yeah… it’s like the mold is crooked.

P.S. TRP DHR EVO brakes all day!! 🔥
My Assegai's also have the wobble, as does my sons DHF

Thx homie! Few tweaks and I think she’ll be close to perfect!👌🏻
Have fun servicing all those bearings and linkages!
Absolutely agree about the TRP brakes...mine are amazing!
Best brakes I’ve ever had!👌🏻

Yeah me too… As a racing machine though the 29s make sense! Suck a sick bike!🤘🏻
Great work, Ben!! 🔥
Thx Guys!🫶🏻
in my experience i get wobbly maxxis tires from pulling too much during mounting.. did not get wobbly tires after using tire levers during mounting
Awesome video! Thank you very much!
Love this man every video is my new fav
Thx homie!🤜🏼🤛🏼
I use maxis forecaster and it sometime wobbling
Great detailed review.

Upgrading! You get to pick and do it yourself witch is half the fun of owning an awesome bike!🤘🏻
is that a full 29 front 29 rear? thanks

What’s you distortion and FOV
You in Tahoe bro? If so, where is this trail?
This is Whistler

You need to convince my town to make a trail😅
That’s on you Mark! Maybe make one on the hush…🤫
I want to move to polygon
Do it! They’ve been great for me and I ride them all pretty hard!🤘🏻
The tyres are a running joke. It gets called the "maxxis wobble" both of my minion dhfs on my bike have a pretty serious whoopty in them from factory

Amazing videos as always. How does this compare with YT Capra? Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thank you for amazing contents 🫡
A little pricey-er than the Capra core 2 but a way better suspension platform and rear shock. Oh! Plus it’s in stock!
