Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

People constantly say "Bravo Vince" but this is definitely Peter Gould's show. Stay Gold, Gould
Thank you for making sure that Peter gets his roses. Rhea, Bob, Michael, Jonathan, the whole crew were tremendous but what Peter did helped paint the full picture for all of us fans who follow everything they do
@@MoarMike what’d he do? Pls tell me
@@aliyaaanx Well for starts he had more of a hand in this show than Vince. Vince was more involved for the first season and the last two seasons. Also, he created Saul in the first place plus Lalo and Nacho.
People really understate Gould’s involvement. There’s a reason he’s on equal billing with Gilligan at the end of each episode- Bravo Vince has become a meme, but Bravo Gould should have become one alongside it.
@@aliyaaanx he is the show runner of Better Call Saul.
Rhea seehorn crying as she says goodbye to the show at 0:41 is literally all of us the fans at the ending trying to accept that this series is over. She is amazing and I love her and this show is definitely my favorite show I’ve ever seen❤️
She SHOULD be proud! One of the best characters in television history
@@jaykdos9521 isn’t she a bit boring though

Wow they didn't just add black and white digitally. They did it on the entire set without any digital effects. Truly one of the tv show of all time. Bravo Vince!
@@IonizedComa omg bro 😑
I thought they wore black and painted grey everywhere
They used a time machine to go back in time before color was invented. Can't believe this show. Bravo Vince.
@Allisure Flew right over their head 😂
Wait, there was b&w?
I'm glad they went with Saul for a spinoff. If they chose Jesse or any other character, it'd be too much the same, or too different. Saul was the sweet spot, and the show speaks for itself. Spectacular!
GREAT point! Sweet spot indeed. Well stated.
What about a spinoff of the guy who just yelled "Tucker". On Breaking Bad.

@@unrealpandas Bold statement from someone who has the same name as a car from a Pixar movie.
Kim Wexler is THE way to write and showcase a true female lead. I’m tired of the many shows and movies forcing it and not focusing on proper writing. This show was beautiful from start to finish
You are right. She just nailed it and its not forced or anything. Pure talent and believable story. She doesn't need anyone to tell that she is good. Her actions speak for her.
Absolutely- she was brilliant and confident but she was also flawed. Too many writers forget to round out their characters the way this show has with all of it’s characters.
Absolutely right!
I said the same thing to my mother yesterday. They wrote a believable, complex and well fleshed out female lead.
Nope nope nope. She was a weak character. When Lalo came into their apartment, a strong female character would have beaten him up before he shot Howard. That's how you write a strong female character.
God, after 14 years, it has finally come to a close, best series ever
Maybe there will be novelisations?

I wasn't crying when Breaking Bad was over. But I was crying during two last episodes of Saul, because I didn't want to let them go. What a great team, what a journey, what a writing.
Same, I liked bcs finale more and I never thought I would after bb
true true, broke my heart and hate to say goodbye to bcs so bad that i have to watch the last two episodes bit by bit because I guess i can't accept the fact it's over 😢❤ thanks vince and peter for the greatest tv show ever, and bob, i gotta say you deserve the loves u received ❤❤❤
Breaking Bad had a satisfying finale cause the bad guys died and Jesse got away in the end. Better call Saul was just depressing at the end. Jimmy went to jail. Lost Kim. Howard died. There wasn’t a happy ending for any characters in BCS.

Oh, man. Seeing Rhea Seehorn so emotional got me emotional. She has an amazing career ahead of her. And the rest of the BCS show was so awesome. I'll miss this show so much .
In a truly great cast - she stood out. The bus scene in 06-12 was out of this world. And on the other hand she can act while barely moving her face. Just brilliant.
Yeah I really want to see her in more stuff. She was one of my favorite parts of the whole show from the start

I did not watch Breaking Bad when it was on the air, I missed that. Thank you all for your hard work bringing all us an amazing experience. Sad to see it go, but so happy it happened.
Same same
I did the same. I watched BB in about a month in 2015. I later discovered BCS only when season 2 was out and watched this entire show as it came out after that. Amazing!
BCS may be the only show I’ve been with since day one and have gotten to watch it consistently be great each season all the way to the end. No other show I can say that about
I caught it on season 4 and don't regret it at all. Best spin-off ever.

Don't know if I liked or disliked ending. However, ending w/ the "bad guy"getting his comeuppance / "crime doesn't pay" certainly makes the censors/powers that be happier. Perhaps that is why neither BB or BCS have ever previously won an Emmy. # Bob and Rhea better win this time.
The fact that they chose to film the behind the scenes in black and white just exemplifies perfectly the tragedy of ending something that was so great yet had to end. Perfectly captures the ambiance of the emotions of everyone involved with the filming of such an amazing series.
What a journey. Not to go and spoil it all by saying something stupid, but I've loved being part of it. Thank you to everyone who's been a part of both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad! Saul's well that ends well.

I will be VERY surprised if I ever get a television programme this good again in my life.
You should all be incredibly proud for the last 13 years of utter brilliance. The costumes, the sets, the cinematography, the music, the acting, the writing. Just sublime.
Don't lose hope. I lot of people (myself included) felt that way after the end of Breaking Bad, and then Better Call Saul happened.
46 Emmy nominations and 0 wins. Saul shouldn’t be in prison the academy should
I feel sorry for people who didn't see this show, they have no idea what a fantastic, creative, once in a life time, show this was. The writing ws phenomenal! The cast was the best! Whoever cast Bob Odenkirk as Saul deserves a tripple Emmy.
Isn’t it crazy how fast 7 years passed. I remember the day they announced bcs. I remember the day I watched breaking bad final with my parents in high school and now I’m a grown man with a family and our own home. Time is a beautiful thing. Bitter sweet. Farewell to the BEST show universe ever created in television.
Saul mimicked a real friend to viewers. We met him on first on BB and only saw a slice of his personality, but as we got to know him more on BCS we got to see how deep he was and how unique of a character he could be behind his smart aleck jokes. It made us love him. In a way, I think a lot of people identify with his struggles and his triumphs. Truly one of the greatest television shows of all time.
Not only Saul, but Kim, for me. I'd never seen anyone on TV who felt like me before. They wrote (and Rhea played) her extraordinarily well. A child of an alcoholic, hardworking, taciturn, isn't really something you see on screen, unless it's a romanticised character, usually a poorly behaved teenager. Seeing a character like Kim let me feel... less alone.
I was at a point in my life where I was struggling and fighting to get somewhere in my career when I started BCS. I found Jimmy’s rock bottom to be so relatable and as the show progressed, so did my professional life.
For 14 years reading, learning, getting emotional, empathizing with all the characters and loving every season detail, its all over my friends quite a ride uh. Thanks to the crew and every single person that put his life, time, effort, dedication and love to this magnificent universe. I will tell to my children and grandchildren about how big this was and how game changing was for the entire tv history.
Thanks for the biggest tv experience in my whole life, hope to see more in the future.
I feel genuinely lucky to be able to witness the ending of this masterpiece live.
Best television series ever, breaking bad better call saul
I hear they're making a sequel to this show called Breaking Bad. I hope it does well!
Jokes aside, this show was phenomenal. The first spin-off show I've seen that rivals the original, and I'm so sad it's over.
oh man, i saw the pilot for that, it was awesome! its def more fast paced compared to BCS's slow burn style but really excited to see how it'll turn out!, seems like this walt guy saul kept telling to jeff is going to be the star of the show and man i'm really looking forward to seeing how he became successful with saul.
Downright the best ending to a show ever. Just plain amazing. I love seeing how the cast and crew interact. Such an emotional time for all of us 😢

Sometimes, good things come to an end. One of the best shows I have ever watched.
This show has in fact, rekindled my interest in movies that prioritize quality dialogue, slow action, and artistic cinematography.
The producers of this show have taken filming to a whole new level. Thanks Gilligan, Gould, and the crew for serving us this delicious TV show.
Same with me. I used to sleep when I watched Citizen Kane the only one movie which one of the best but lacking in any actions. I need to rewatch Citizen Kane again and immerse myself in it.
Calling BrBa and BCS just “amazing shows” is an understatement.
Not only were they able to make both shows perfect, or every season feel thrilling and another step forward, they managed to craft each and every episode perfectly. There really is no bad episode that doesn’t move the story forward or have less than impressive acting. Every episode is vital to the story and is always exciting to watch. Even the more controversial ones are merely “less perfect”.
I’d go as far as saying that every single minute in this series is amazing.
Thank you for this journey, Bravo Vince and Peter
Tears in my eyes, what a great journey, what a master piece, fun is over, but it is all good.

This is amazing, goodbye Better Call Saul, I'm glad the show went out with a fantastic ending and not a bad one that ruined the show, this was a passion project ror every one involved and I hope it lives on forever
I hate how perfectly it was all tied up in a knot, because now I don't need answers anymore. I hate being this satisfied, and it just shows how much effort and thought went into this universe.
Incredible sequel series that out-did an already incredible original. Bravo Vince. Bravo Peter. Bravo Bob, Rhea, et al.
Just finished Better Call Saul yesterday. It only seems like yesterday, but I picked up Breaking Bad ten years ago around 2011-12 after all the hype around it. And once I finished the last episode of Better Call Saul, I looked at the year and it was 2022. And I couldn't help but remember myself as a 19 year old watching Breaking Bad for the first time and just looking at the whole journey I had personally come on in this past decade. It was an absolute emotional trip for me.
As a film nerd I've always admired the show's creators, especially Vince. And this feels like the end of an era in television. I hope the cast and crew go on to make other amazing stuff like these two shows.
Farewell, Jimmy McGill and Associates. You guys were an absolute treat to watch.

Never before has a spin-off of a major successful show outshine it's parent show in such a remarkable way.
And the throwaway lines in BrBa about some guys called Lalo and Ignacio... look at where that led.
Also consider the opening of BCS S6 to the end. It's like two different shows. Just incredible.
This show was there for me when I was going though a difficult time in my life, It will always hold a special place in my heart, farewell Saul!

When Rhea cried, I cried
One of the best series i have ever watched, Breaking Bad world is just something else ❤
damn I did not expect to cry but these characters are so deep, so well thought out in this entire story. You can't help being able to relate to them on a lot of levels. Writing this I now realise how human they actually are because being able to relate to some of them regardless even if you're nothing like them just goes to show how human they truly are and they will be missed deeply but I can't wait for the next project Vince and Peter cook up. I know it's going to be nothing than genius
Rhea crying makes me cry
I am honored to have seen the last few episodes come out even if i have only been a fan a few months. Truly the best show(s) i have ever and will ever watch
Being into filmaking and writing, after watching this show i just have to ponder upon the thought that how adorably talented a writer and filmmaker duo can be!! the art of writing is just so top notch that it just digs deep in my skin its flawless, its fantastic and i always believed that circumstances and inner demons is what drives a character but in this i got to understand that people around you can have such a deep impact in your conscience, the way you carry yourself to the way you run away from things, Mike Erhmantraut the subtle scenes with him the battle he is going through the grief he carries that sheer brilliance in the perfomace and Nacho when he talks to his father for one las time and that built up in his chest where he is about to break down , i have felt that so deeply , every single one of them is class apart character (leaving lalo jk) but in one of the last scenes where you can find kim just being super nervous in the court knocking her foot up and down shows how vulnerable she is at this point and how scared that woman is because she carries that feeling from her childhood where she tried stealing but got caught and how her mum reacted to her yet she is watching our jimmy fearlessly eye to eye and well i can go on and on about the characters but saul, his ways may have been wicked but the 'hustle' he brought to his work, the 'never give up' attitude he brought with him while adverstiy was always striking his door and the scene where he starts humming 'smoke on the water' and tells mike 'now he knows what he gotta do' , he is crystal clear about it, man oh man doesnt that moment happen with many of us when we can see clearly after long days of grey clouds? i mean how relatable can you get here man!! Saul has been my favorite throughout the breaking bad because whatever he did , he wasnt valued ,lesser did i know about his own universe but i knew that he was the thuggest character in every sense also beacuse he is the 'baap of jugaads', but the only person that he ever seeked approval from was kim, how he truly loved her!! the best thing about the 'Breaking bad' universe is that every single character 'Broke Bad' !! Epic show Epic characters!!
can't believe they really painted everything gray just to film this... incredible.
We are blessed to have Vince Gilligan who created and started the story in Breaking Bad. Then we have Peter Gould who took the reins and enhanced it further in Better Call Saul. And it is further thanks to these two creators and showrunners who know how to unite their writing staff, their production crew and their cast into a unifying force who give us 14 years of one of the best television entertainment.
