      Latifs Inspired exactly what I say Latif and you don’t cook Indian way, correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t your food Pakistani / Bangladeshi inspired?
      Indian curries are similar but they don’t use as many spices as far as I am aware anyway

      Rosebud “Indian” is an umbrella term for food covering the entire Indian subcontinent. It is familiar for non Asian customers. Hence why restaurants use “Pakistani/Indian” “Bangladeshi/Indian” or “South Indian”- non asians are familiar with Indian. If I went to a traditional Hindu restaurant will I find chicken curry etc? Probably not, I will find vegetarian food so you have to be clear.

      Paneer is a piece of p*ss to make - just heat some full fat milk (6 pints) then add a tablespoon of white wine vinegar as it hits the boil. Take it off the heat and watch it separate, then scoop up the curds and press it in a plastic cheese mould. I add a teaspoon of cumin seeds before the boil as paneer can be uber bland otherwise. But even ASDA sell the stuff nowadays so why bother making it?

      Thank you for explaining how to make it. I have no idea what it tastes like but I see it in so many recipes so I want to give it a go.

    • @martinjf467
      @martinjf467 4 года назад

      @@WinrichNaujoks that's because you haven't pressed it in a cheese mould. I put mine into a cheap and cheerful plastic mould I bought and then I press it with 4 x six pound dive weights on top together with a gallon of water in a demijohn all balanced VERY carefully! Anymore weight and it would come out like concrete however with that much it comes out about the same consistency as that which I can buy from th' ASDA!
