I think I remember watching a Daniel green video where Joe Abercrombie and Brandon were doing a co-interview, and Joe mentioned the the thing that stands the most out for Sanderson was not only his writing, but his busines acumen. He's not only written many great books, but he's carved out his own spot in the entire publishing industry and is doing well so far. I don't know any other author that is doing what he is doing.
not a day goes by where I don't see at least 3 Brandom Sanderson videos on my RUclips home page, he broke Kickstarter with his first one ever and he has immerse power in the fantasy scene. how the hell is he underrated when his books bring in millions. He is the Mr. beast of fantasy.
Yes sorry I watched the video, lol at 2:07 I agree with you the title had me up in arms a bit but I agree he is underrated in the why he interacts with the community he's such a genuine human
@@UltraLaidback totally understandable. The title and thumbnail do have clickbait elements, but I feel confident that I gave good reasoning for it. I get what you're saying. Thanks for the interactions.
@@griphookflitwick4565 I agree with your take as well. I think his style is his own and it's very accessible which makes it easier to get through the deep fantasy stuff.
@griphookflitwick4565 I think the interesting thing is that he *can* write better than he typically does. If you read Yumi or Tress the prose is more elegant than his main series
@@Narrative_Ink When the first few words of a video are foolish, I find a new video. Perhaps you should learn better ways to communicate than saying the opposite of what you mean.
@StegoKing the first few words I say are "Brandon Sanderson," so if you think names are foolish then thats on you. By 0:54 seconds, I explain why I believe he is underrated. You're welcome to watch and understand like many of the other comments or don't. I don't mind. Thank you for the engagement.
@@StegoKingplaying the I move to a better video card while taking the time to comment. Chill out bro, you don’t need to prove anything to anyone here. See ya. Good vid btw.
Brandon Sanderson is one of the greatest fantasy writers to ever live!
I agree with that!

I agree! He's pretty much changing the whole industry and he has the power to make that change.
For how insanely successful he is as an author, I'm still regularly surprised so many people I talk to have never heard of him.
He really is a nice guy, free college classes on youtube!
It's honestly one of the best things he's done.
ooohhh yeah nice video
Thank you! 😊
So true. I wish he was recognized for all of this
Thanks! I'm glad I could bring a spin on his perception.
Underrated all the way to the bank. Actually, I'm sure he's a fine writer. I've never read his stuff.
I think he is a good writer. A lot of his epic fantasy has simple prose but that actually makes the epic fantasy even more accessible to me.

Did you watch the video? I explain it within the first few minutes. It's a pretty good reason.
0:53 if you're curious about why I made this video.

So what you're saying is he's an underrated businessman, not an underrated author. Bad clickbait.
You could say that. What's clickbait?
Brandon Sanderson is an underrated businessman and an overrated writer.
I agree with that. I do think he is a fantastic writer, but he does have some issues that many fans overlook.

@@VallelYuln that's true. I think his style is deeper than people give it credit for.
Be serious man. He is probably the most overrated author.
I think I did a pretty good job of explaining my points. Did you watch the video? I explain my reasoning within the first 55 second of the video.
He's so overrated it's absurd.
Did you want the video? Within the first minute I explain the whole point behind the video haha 😄

wrong, he is massively overrated
In what way? Did you watch the video? Within the first minute I explain my reasoning.
Him being good at marketing doesnt make him a good author
But his business skills are underrated.
