- A participant at a Weekend Retreat in Sausalito, California (April, 2024) asks a question about how the ego keeps on restructuring itself in various forms and what to do about that. Amoda Maa responds by recognizing the ego being seen in its various guises can be both a joyous and challenging process. Instead of fighting against the ego, Amoda suggests embracing the discovery process until it naturally becomes tiresome or counterproductive. This "ripening process" involves allowing the ego to play out until it no longer serves a purpose, leading to a tipping point where the desire to release egoic patterns surpasses the need to hold onto them. She invites the retreat participant to be patient and accept the journey, rather than being aggressive in the attempt to eliminate the ego prematurely.

From a self-love healing perspective, I definitely know there’s a beautiful break-through that can involve a literal mirror (let’s stick with that for simplicity’s sake in explaining the further transformation). And then, as love fulfills itself there, it can more fully and confidently expand. No mirror needed anymore. The maturity increases, the foundation within self is established, and the love is far more open and all-encompassing.
And all these steps are important and necessary. I fully support and understand them all. I never want anyone to be stuck feeling like a nobody, no ego, no self, with a cavity inside and so much love and understanding to give.
I am happy to be distracted by helpful, absorbing video's like this.

You can never let go of an ego prematurely the sooner the better for everyone. You would know that if you grew up in a dysfunctional home.
