Perhaps as famous as she wants to be? To step into the next tier she'd have to make artistic sacrifices I don't think she or any of us would want.

Kimbra is one of the most talented vocalists on the planet and I fear her legacy will be tied to “Somebody I used to know”. Brilliant song writer, brilliant performer and a voice that is simultaneously raw and elegant.
Let's hope not. That song didn't show even a fragment of her talent. Very under utilized and I understand why, no dig to Gotye but her voice could easily overwhelm him and outshine him in his own song. But it's not like it's a heavy singing song on his behalf so it's smart for her to meet him at his level but knowing the capacity of talent she has? That is what makes it disappointing for us as fans.
This is just SOOOOO GOOD. The writing and the way she expresses those feelings....it's golden to be able to transfer that to your listeners...take you to a place. Beautifully made
