Don't forget his imposing muscular physique at 6'2" from Bonnie&Clyde (the famous scenes in the "wife beater") pretty much up to Ishtar (the white t-shirt).
@@jayeginn5963 Yes I once read that he ha d alright build i.e. non muscular but as you point out in Bonnie and Clyde he was muscular. He probably trained up for that role.
A unique film .... I enjoyed it in 1975 , and even considered moving to Beverly Hills and attending beauty school . I did not do this . Non the less the political back drop of the film is highly amusing . An entertaining film , reflecting a specific time in history . I have the DVD .

By all accounts, Beatty thinks very highly of himself, is very driven and usually these type of people can be very difficult to work with (I'm sure Robert Rossen and Altman would agree). Beatty seems to have a 'healthy ego', is relatively balanced, and is aware of any weaknesses he might have, which is probably a reason for his sparse and selective filmography...
