yeah, so I have all my photos, music, etc on my desktop because that's where I actually do the work to create photos and music, etc etc. Then I have to send those completed files to my phone in order to upload them.... makes sense :(

I have the solution: Simply add the photo's through your laptop and and then edit the post on your mobile app to add music. This way you can still add your full resolution images from your pro camera without having to import them first to your phone, or worry about whatsapp compression will be solved.
