Should start a full campaign, that's where BMS really shines.
I think he should as well but I feel that would get very close to classified knowledge he has. If he starts getting into BVR and things it will cause him some trouble.
I'm fascinated by wondering what those classified tactics would be. I really want to see them but I understand why he can't. @@charlies40556
He would go to jail for sure if he did that.
its freaking difficult to start a campaign, who knows what to choose, with all those crazy sliders from the 90's
@@charlies40556He’s already said he won’t do most missions for that very reason.
Tower is Uniform 3. DTC will do the rest. Glad you enjoyed in , Mover
Great to see BMS getting some well deserved attention and coverage from a real F-16 Pilot and hearing their opinions.
Hearing Mover this excited about BMS is such a warm and fuzzy
More? Yes please.
Some ACM? Double yes.
I’m eager to hear more about the flight model of BMS in all of the roles.
That's Kunsan AB in Korea. I was there from 2010 to 2015. Those buildings look really accurate. The developers did a great job.
Hi!
For performance reasons and issues with some objects and textures, we have temporarily removed all the trees and fences. When they will be back in place, you should enjoy it even more (looks much better). 😊
Kind regards.
I was at Kunsan ‘90-91 8th AGS, 80th AMU. I was fortunate enough to get a ride while I was there. I recognized the S-shaped taxi way immediately during that right hand turn @ 4:08.
@@JuanVega-ns5ok I was at Kunsan from 89-91 I was in Transit Alert / Crash Recovery.
"Flight Model very good" "Avionics good". Glad to hear it!!
Thanks for another BMS clip, I dodn't expect it to be two parts. Quite informative and it joy to watch. +1 on some BFM stuff, also I'm curious of your opinion once you'll try aerial refueling.
BTW it seem to be a bit of opposite to DCS on landing final where Viper in DCS suffered sudden drop of the speed, but BMS Viper loves to keep flying.
BTW if you enable pilot body , it provides build in kneeboards, with ots of usefull stuff, including nav charts and airport runway direction and tacan/ils/radios frequency chart for whole theater of operation.
Nothing cooler than having a real fighter pilot show you stuff like this. It's really fascinating. Thanks a lot CW.
I'd definitely watch more BMS on the channel. Keep the videos coming !
Used to play Falcon 4.0 game as a kid, one of the game that made me fell in love with fighter aircraft.
Nice to see you like BMS. Just to help you with the comms after you pick your seat you can read the mission briefing. That tells you which frequencies are used. Then within the data cartridge do the so called click dance. On the IFF tab hit IFF plan, on the comm tab hit COM plan and on the l16 tab hit l16 plan. Finally hit save and you're good to go. When in the pit and you've started the aircraft, avionics etc. Load the DTE and all comms is available to you. U2 for ground, u3 for tower, u4 for departure/arrival. With "T" on the keyboard you can use the various commands like "remove EPU pin" or you install voice attack and automate it like I do. My personal preference goes to voiceattack + a plugin package from veterans gaming. That one is fully available and also works with call signs like sentry5, texaco1 etc.
If you get the “dtc” dance figured out for BMS it will put defaults radios for uniform as:
1: base ops
2: ground
3: tower
4: departure
I’d love to see real Viper driver’s cold & dark ramp start flow and ofc you to dive into BMS brilliant dynamic campaign, although there’s quite a steep learning curve (ATC, interaction with AWACS, other flights in the package, loading a data cartridge…). But if you fly as no.2, AI flight lead is somewhat capable to quide you to the mision target.
+1 to that.
That's how i learned early on. Some 10 years ago 😊
Im guessing he probably wouldn’t do that due to even the slightest risk of accidentally revealing a secret
Yes. More BMS please. I'd like to see a video on startup procedures and also see you try some refueling.
Try using the helmet visor down option for VR, helps greatly in this weather. Please make sure you’ve no curves applied to your stick in the driver software. Approach is 292.65 and Tower is 292.30. Welcome to BMS.

Good to see you enjoying BMS! Some dogfighting next would definitely be great, although you need to try the campaign! It really is where BMS shines.
Can't wait for more BMS content
To me the best feature of BMS is the dynamic campaign… so far no other game managed to have a campaign system similar to BMS… also the ATC is great
And this was started in 1998!
Coding startet in 1994. 😊
bms is very special. i really really enjoy it. the campaign stuff once you figure it out is really cool.
Cool vid, really enjoyed it. The heart of this sim really is the dynamic campaign. I love watching jets going to do their stuff and coming back home. The whole battlespace is dynamic and feels alive, you can hear them doing their thing on the radio, it never feels like you are flying solo.
always awesome to get a glimpse into real-world ways of operating.
More BMS!
Really hope you continue this series, subbed.
Awesome, more BMS please!
BMS has kept me happy all the way from my "pew pew" days twenty-five years ago till now when the squadron mgmt and campaign strategy is more satisfying.
same.
Same here, except it has been a 24-year struggle-bus trip for me since buying the binder edition of Falcon 4.0 in December 1999 to *FINALLY* the requisite PC, graphics card, VoiceAttack profile, and a *reliable* HOTAS setup in order to enjoy F4/BMS the way I have envisioned (= no keyboard required during flight) since catching the Falcon 4.0 bug oh-so-long ago. Just got the Thrustmaster TQS about a week ago, and I am finally enjoying the sim and the dynamic campaign in all its glory. 😎👍🏻 Now I just have to get up to speed on all the systems, procedures, tactics, and weapons employment in order to pew-pew more, and die☠️😇 less! 😅
Heck yea, more BMS!!
Really enjoying seeing you fly BMS, would be brilliant if you could dive deeper in to the sim
Nice. I used to fly Falcon 3.0 way back in the day...got into DCS during Covid in 2020. I'll have to try BMS.
Cool stuff cool stuff ✌️😎✌️ Mover in BMS puts a smile on my face
Hah man this was so rad. A real fighter pilot narrating while giving a first person view in the cockpit.
Very nice, Mover. I have zero seat time in a pointy nose just, but really enjoy your perspective and experience.
Would really like to see more of this sim! It's my favorite of all time, especially with the BMS crew having kept it going and improving over the years. The graphics are not spectacular because it came out in 1998 originally. There's been some work on that, but I think a future update is going to take care of the graphics even more.
And with the dynamic campaign and how much you can control... you can kind of wargame as well as fly!
I really like the theaters BMS has, not just maps but theaters.
I also started w 3.0, and I've been hooked ever since. WE WANT MORE!
Great video! I would love to see you interact with the ATC at some point - a really strong feature of BMS
It was awesome to hear the commentary from a real pilot
Falcon 4 campaigns are so good. Given you seem to like the BMS flight model, and you love the F16 so much, I am surprised you haven't flown Falcon 4 more.
Awesome stuff! So glad to finally check out BMS. Would definitely need to see more and hear more of your thoughts!
great to see you trying BMS - looking forward to some dogfighting...
Definitely need a part 3 and 4…A2A, and A2G
I'd be happy to watch him fly a full theater mission by mission. 😁
Keep going. I love this. It just makes me wanna try out BMS even more now.
Just give it a go buddy, it's a blast!
Wake up babe, new CW Lemoine video!
Great P1 and P2 vids Mover! Really hoping you start a lets play of the campaign as its amazing and super immersive!
Good to hear your impressions! Just curious if you have heard of a Pete Bonanni. He was the AF advisor for the predecessor of BMS, Falcon 3.0. Met him at SimCon 93 where all the Falcon nerds at the time met for 2 days of seminars and head to head sim dogfighting! Anyway, thanks for the video!
Id really love to see you do a campaign, actual decision making and prioritization from an f-16 pilot would be awesome
Another great video would like to see dog fights also. Grandson taking his first physical for pilot slot at WP in Dayton Oh this week.
In the hands of a pro.
Hi Mover! Thanks for doing this. Hope to see you fly this sim some more in the campaign mode. Talking to the AI /ATC is very simple using the qwerty keys. Keep pressing the key for accessing page 2,3 and so on. Q for awacs, w, e, r for wingman and flight com, t for tower, ground approach while y for tanker and a few other things. Channel 2 for ground, 3 for tower 4 for approach / departure. 6 for Tactical. (UHF)
Would be great to see you doing some dogfighting.
I think the AI is more interesting than DCS but you will be a better judge of that.
DCS is great, it's reasonably accurate and is great for eye candy, but for hardcore simulation authenticity, BMS has always held the high ground. There's no reason not to have BOTH installed and set up.
Except storage space haha, DCS is massive.
Just what I've been hoping for you to do! Outstanding!
Nice, keep 'em coming Mover.
I recommend watching a video on comms ladder.
For starters:
UHF
2 - Ground
3 - Tower
4 - Departure
On the ICP, just select UHF with the dobber and set the frequencies with the Up/Down buttons under the "7" button.
After setting the frequency just press the "T" key for requests. You can press it multiple times for more messages.
Awesome video, would love to see you fly a mission in a dynamic campaign and give us your opinion on how well they are planned.
Coincidentally, I bought the same Dell Alienware you did a few months back and suffered blue screen of death issues. Had to return it. No wonder it was on sale! Thanks the Crystal Light suggestion. I will buy em next year along w a new gamer laptop that will hopefully work.
Welcome to the flight sim community, you should totally do a group flight
BMS is an addiction if someone further digs in
Remember AI in BMS wont cheat in terms of FMs , everything pure skill.
Thank you for your time, not sure how much you are allowed to show us, but it will help if you teach what they have in the manual, guess it is out there anyway, oncw again. Thanks for your time and contribution
Smooth flying despite the joystick up sensitivity you currently have. Nice to watch the different techniques and the sportscar driving style :-)
It’s a communicable disease watching this. Now I gotta go try some touch n go’s 😂
Again. Thank you Mover for trying out Falcon. Look forward to more of your thoughts.
Dogfights, YES! Great to see a pilot fly.
How does BMS compare to the military simulators that you flew?
Hey c.w. How was it flying at Kunsan? I was stationed there in 83-84. I’ll never forget it, and taxi way 5, the AAA area.. of course ROK hill and the ROK AF.
You'll love campaign and missions once you have got the grips on ai /and atc comms. Thanks for doing this.
My full-scale F16 simulator ru s on this very BMS. It's pretty impressive what BMS can do🤘😎
Glad you like it.
turn on your visor for the helmet it should help with hud visibility
should do some circuits in IMC, actually pretty fun and looks good too. It's also pretty epic during a campaign mission when weather is CAVOK on departure then IMC when you return. cozy.
For me, landing is so much easier in BMS than DCS. In DCS, once I touch down, it is difficult to keep the jet straight. Of course the graphics are better in DCS, but the F-16 light model is better in BMS. Since I have the F-16 Fam. Trainer, I am dedicated to the Viper.
Very cool. I've got the game but I haven't dedicated enough time to figure it out. I think I'll give it another try.
I can't believe he used the word falcon in the title.
I wanna see CW take on that hot shot who does the vids in DCS, only in BMS in decent mission simulated mission and not some scripted crap they setup for the flashy video, something fragged by the ATO in BMS. A BARCAP or SWEEP or something.
Sir dude, everybody's waiting for A2A content !
Very nice! Interesting if you could fly in a F-16A. I think BMS has the block 15 and 20 variants.
It has Block 30 and above completely modeled, the Blocks before the 30 are in the database but their cockpits are not modeled.
@@ercnsmsk84 F-16A MLU cockpits are modeled, although they're closer to C models.
I'd like to see your view on BMS AAR. And your view on the BMS F-16 simulation in general. Flight model, avionics, etcetera. Great video on the patterns.
Goddamnit, I really don't need more temptation to get a VR headset. I just got a new computer, and I think I could run DCS and definitely BMS pretty reliably with decent FPS and graphics with VR...but I would get buried behind my apartment if the fiance saw the price point on a VR headset.
Which one is more close real life dcs or bms? I mean feeling air, feeling like sitting in to heavy metal?
It’s even cooler when you are talking to a guy on ATC.
Imagine having a working ILS system in DCS.
Yes, it is there and it works... if and only if weather conditions are exactly right.
Doen't DCS have ILS yet? Oh my 😂
@@TSHKKRipper Of course it does. And it works just fine. I haven't tried all the modules but F16,F15E and A-10C all work. Carrier ILS works on the hornet as well.
@@audunskilbrei8279 I meant F-16
@@audunskilbrei8279 I checked now. There is.
@@TSHKKRipper DCS F16 has working ILS. Works the same as in BMS
mover.. you should do a campaign on dcs.. real former jet fighter pilots vs sim enthusiasts... it'll be great
Great vid Mover! I think it would be awesome to see some dog fighting footage
Take off looks a lot smoother in BMS.
In DCS I can’t get a smooth pitch rate during wheels up, it’s takes a lot of back pressure to lift off but then the pitch rate seems to change for the same stick position.
Robs me of the satisfaction every time, does anyone know what I mean?
C.W lemoine should start a game series on DCS see how he does in combat
Enjoyed it. Thanks
There's something off my F16/HOTAS in DCS. It's out of trim always. I have the Winwing force sensing stick. And it always wants to roll to the right because of the Tpod. And I can't trim neutral as it will just be untrimmed the other way. Also feels like it always wants to go up or down. Like it's untrimmed that way too.
I've checked bindings and the stick is dead center. So it's not a problem with the axis.
It would be great to see you team up with fisgas or avaition plus or the others, they will teach you the sim and you can teach them how to do it IRL, would be great for the comunity to learn
great vid. do planes yell altitude altitude at you every time you come in for a landing?
Depends on your configuration and what you have set in the altitude alerter.
Would be great to see some fights.
@@pregnant9574 i'm not sure you fully appreciate what it means to watch a real F-16 pilot fly BMS.
@@pregnant9574 that's what flying planes often is. You either have it your you don't. But that's okay, they let anyone fly in the back these days.
@@pregnant9574 Didn't mean any offense, it's just that this video is aimed at pilots and aviation enthusiasts. If you thought it was boring, if it's not for you, why didn't you just go back to watching shorts?
Personally, I hope mover does more long format videos in BMS, I don't want to miss a thing. I find routine flights just as engaging as dogfights when it's an experienced fast jet pilot behind the stick. There's always something to learn! Given mover is so familiar with flying the Viper, his opinion on how faithful the sim is matters and can help further development in BMS. ✌
Do you always land with the Flight path marker at the top of the pitch ladder? It's been a while since i have flown properly in BMS and DCS and don't remember the proper protocol.
11 AOA
Has mover reviewed the helicopter chasing scene from the movie outbreak 1995? Great movie and I would love his take 😊
So I'm curious, how does this compare to the F-16 in DCS? I currently don't own either, but I am curious about the differences in "realism".
the bms one has a bunch more systems modeled, so it is a lot more complete than the dcs one. however, things such as the INS are simplified, but the effects of it are still implemented, dcs simulates things a lot more accurately (but that also takes a lot of processing power and not a lot of stuff actually gets developed). as for other stuff in the sim, dcs has more playable vehicles, but falcon has very good AI that cooperate with each other on attacks and a “game master” ai that schedules flights by itself, so it simulates an entire battlefield.
Dcs stimulates things more accurately?? @@vincentvoncarnap
That's interesting the way you are doing the pattern. Is this the norm for fighters ? Obviously GA uses a very rectangular pattern.
I believe it’s military style as it allows you to visually inspect the runway by crossing it. (Especially if its been bombed)
"Put the thing on the thing.." Stop using all of that complicated pilot's jargon!
With the Pimax Crystal, do you miss the eye tracking of the full crystal?
I do not.
@@CWLemoine I would love to speak with you sometime. I am a veteran, a military tech enthusiast and I have had an idea for a Naval Military Tech thriller for years but I am not a writer, I would have no clue how to start. I would love to hear your opinion on the concept. Who knows, maybe I can be the Larry Bond to your Tom Clancy.
Mover, if you can do this program, does that make you still qualified for F-16 operations?
Wonder if this sim has a generic CCIP ordinance drop training mode
Hi!
Could you explain more?
CCIP is of course implemented, DTOS and CCRP as well.
@@Dee-Jay ty , you covered my question here
Oh this is great im swtichin to BMS instead of getting the falcon in DCS
A Block 15 vs Block 50 dogfight? :)
Can you compare to the DCS model? I prefer Gen 1 jet fighters, but dynamic campaign mode on BMS is so enticing (and there are hardly any early cold war servers for DCS anyway; even ECW is more modern than I would prefer)
