You are correct. This song is one of the 9 songs composed by Ponnaiah Pillai and his 3 brothers where they glorify their guru Sri Muthuswamy Dikshithar. In this song, Sri. Ponnaiah Pillai uses the mudra Guru guha swamiki ne dasudaiki where he pays homage to his guru Sri Dikshithar.
