I can imagine myself walking around this place with earphones listening to some pleasant classical music despite the faint noise of drilling, road works and automobiles. But that is not reality is not? Many years ago, I watched a video of Manchester with a very beautiful classical background music that made me want to live there. Now I feel terribly disappointed after moving to Manchester. But then which city is perfect? None.

Which are usually a case of misdiagnosis, poor communication and relative hardship. Much injustice is masked or brushed under the carpet. In spite of the negatives the positives far outweigh them.
When I see a video on Manchester, I feel like...It's so weird to see someone video the town I live in....a total Islamic s%it *ole. Imagine the whole of Britain without muslims, but with white people from mainland Europe. Like Germans, French, Norwegians, Swedes, Finns, Danish, Dutch, Austrian, Swiss, Italins, Spanish, Greeks etc to name a few. I might sound racist. But I am not against people from non-European countries who work as doctors, nurses, IT professionals etc in UK. Religion does not top the priorities in their lives and they contribute something.
I've lived in bath for 21 years, born and raised. Lovely city, beautiful views, however it's very quiet, the clubs suck and are very trendy. (tho ur close 2 bristol) it's what I'd classify as a retirement city. it's very expensive living here tho, lots of rich people, which kinda sucks for people like me! But no, it's a lovely place to live when you are in the town center, lots of history. But reality that's all show the rest is like a normal city but they won't show that!!! hahahahaha
Full of snobs too. I haven't been anywhere in Britain and met people with less personality or character than the people in Bath. You won't find more insular gossips anywhere else.
Visited Bath many times throughout my life. I took my gf for a visit around 2007 and it was so beautiful. Then I didn't visit for another ten years and when I went back I was shocked at the change; no changes cosmetically, but people were so rude and unfriendly. Afterwards I saw that the population of Bath had doubled in the time I'd been away and evidently, residents there weren't happy about it. When I got back to London I actually felt more relaxed driving there than in Bath! One time it was raining in Bath and I spent half an hour going from shop to shop asking people for change from a fiver for the parking! Another time nobody would take a £50 note which I had just gotten out of the local post office. The taxi drivers have extremely poor road manners, and that was before I tried to ask a taxi driver for directions (he was at a traffic light, I was on foot) etc.etc. For me, for the time being, Bath is a place to stay away from. Easily the most unfriendly people in England.
