I was the first tenor on this recording and we made noise with this one down in Philidelphia Norman and the Rob-Roys did a show down there for Harvey Holiday and we looked at the top 100 or so songs on his FM radio show and we were suprised,"Dream Girl" was No.7 and "Tell Me Why" never made it.
Norm Fox in person has such a fine voice - had a chance to see him several times in live performances. Just Magic! Was lucky enough to hear them do their rarely heard tune "Audrey" live - was fantastic!
lead (Norman Fox), First Tenor (Alex Augustine), Second Tenor (Stuart Morgan), Baritone (Robert Thierer), Bass (Leon McClain) Recorded for Starlight Records.
A little help from my Doowoppers. My friend, Don K Reed, says this is the first "Integrated" group. Others have said it was the Del Vikings. In my research I found "The Crests" to be integrated in the same years. Any thoughts out there?
What an amazing vocal! This puts modern music to shame. Thank you so much from a 1957 baby.
This tune was first released by the same group but with instruments behind it. This acapella rendition is superb and even superior, IMO.
I am 79 and I still love Doo wop from the 50,s and 60,s
This should be played today maybe the younger people would know what music is all about and how music sounds without instrumentation❤

The acappella recordings of the group are among the very best I've ever heard.

Always loved this tune on the radio, but this acapella rendition is even better. It's truly fantastic!
This is beyond amazing. Another one to put on heaven's juke box to play when we all get there.
This acappella version is good enough to not need any instruments. Rare, but true.
Hey guys we've all had a dream girl don't wake us up we want to hang on to that dream a little longer beautifully put by Norman and the boys
These guys were so good. Don't remember them from back then. Wonderful.
Absolutely one of the best.
This is an excellent rendition of of a great song.
This is, in my opinion, one of the aqll-time top doo wop ballads of all time. And this acappella version is incredibly good.
They are really good

My man from Washington Heights, Paul Schneller, doing bass on this marvelous tune!

The " Crests " also had a girl in their group for a couple of songs; Patricia Vandross. Older sister of Luther Vandross!
